The Presidency
Hillary: What difference does it make why they died? - In one of the most bizarre testimonies before Congress that I have ever seen, the U.S. Secretary of State said about the murder of one of her Ambassadors, "What difference at this point does it make?" It might make a difference to a Coptic Christian whose trailer for a bad movie was blamed by the leader of the free world for a series of Al Qaeda attacks against American diplomatic facilities and who was sent to prison on the orders of members of the administration. Obama: "Peace in our time" - Apparently no one in the entire White House has ever studied any 20th century history at all. (If they had, there would be some realization that Communism failed). Beyond that, Obama used the term "Peace in our time" in his Inaugural Address. This phrase was first used by Prime Minister Neville Chamberland upon signing an agreement with Hitler in 1938, giving part of another nation to the Nazi's in return for "peace." What a gaff - or was it? Read more
Obama supports death on Roe anniversary - President Obama's statement on the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade speaks for itself. He talks of a woman's right to make "decisions" about her own body ... but it is not the woman's body that is destroyed by an abortion; it is her baby's body.
Congress
Senators support Right to Life March - Pro-life Senators sent out tweets to mark the 40th anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision. This Supreme Court ruling legalized abortion on demand as a "privacy" issue. The decision has resulted in the killing of an estimated 50 million unborn babies since then. Only Mao Tse Tung has killed more human beings - an estimated 60 million. Read more
Republican Leader supports Right to Life March - Majority Leader Eric Cantor honored pro-lifers for their commitment to the right to life of every unborn child during a floor speech this week. In contrast, President Barack Hussein Obama, who is the best friend Planned Parenthood can buy, issued a proclamation celebrating the Roe v. Wade ruling as a victory for women, the "freedom to choose" and the right to privacy. Read more

Right to Life March - Hundreds of thousands of people descended on Washington, DC today to morn the loss of 55 million American babies who have been murdered since the Roe v. Wade decision which allows the termination of a pregnancy up to the moment a woman goes into labor. Most of the establishment news services will not report, or will under report, the significance of the size of the demonstration.

EGYPT: More Arab Spring attacks - A thousand Muslims attacked the predominantly Christian village of el-Marashda (province of Quena, Upper Egypt). Incited by outside religious authorities, extremists burned down homes and shops and tried to demolish the local church. Read more
JORDAN: Syrian refugee girls taken for Islamic "pleasure marriages" - Syrian female refugees aged 14 and 15 who fled their country to Jordan and Iraq are being forced into "pleasure marriages. "Apart from being a cover for legalized prostitution (the marriage can last for as little as 30 minutes), Nikah al-Mut'ah (temporary marriage) deprives the "wife" of many rights. Read more
Arming the enemies of freedom - French cannon makers sold the Ottoman Empire the weapons which were used to conquer Constantinople in 1453. This week the United States began shipments of 20 new advanced F-16s and 100 modern Abrams tanks to Egypt. Soon Turkey will receive the newest American fighter, the F-35. The Jewish Terrorist - In March, 2008 during the Jewish holiday of Purim a bomb exploded in the home of the Ortiz family in Ariel, Samara. The Ortiz family are dear friends of mine and I have stayed at their apartment numerous times. Only their youngest teenage son was home home at the time the bomb exploded, and he was just one foot from the bomb. He was severely injured and spent over a year in hospitals and had dozens of operations. Because his father David Ortiz took the Gospel to Arabs in the area, it was assumed that the attack came from them, but it did not. An American-born Jew who had become an extremist set off the bomb. He had also killed Palestinians and bombed a church. The strange case ended this week with his conviction for murder and attempted murder. THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA, GAYS, MUSLIMS AND IMMIGRATION - President Obama has in effect ordered U.S. agencies to import homosexuals from all over the world who are "threatened." Thus anyone who walks into a U.S. embassy anywhere in the world where homosexual activities (including gay marriage) are illegal, can claim to be gay and be immediately put at the front of the line to immigrate to the United States. How, after all, could officials disprove a person's "gayness?" At the same time he has opened the gates to Islamic "refugees." Read more

SECRETARY CLINTON, CHAMPION OF GAY RIGHTS - On December 6th at a conference in Geneva, Switzerland, attended by diplomats from all over the world including Arab nations, Secretary Clinton compared the struggle for "gay equality" to women's rights and racial equality. She said that a nation's cultural or religious "traditions" are not an excuse for discrimination against homosexuals. "Gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights," she said. "It should never be a crime to be gay," Clinton declared and concluded that, "Gay people are born into and belong to every society in the world."

CLINTON TO BACK BLASPHEMY LAWS? - For more than 20 years, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has pressed Western governments to restrict free speech. Its charter states a goal "to combat defamation of Islam," and it wants "deterrent punishments" by all states to counter Islamophobia. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appears ready to buy into the idea of limited free speech worldwide if Islam is the subject. Read More

SENATOR DURBIN TRIES TO KILL U.S. COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) wants the federal government to buy a bankrupt private prison in his home state of Illinois to "create jobs." To get the bucks for the deal he has put a hold on the funding for the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, the only body that spotlights abuses of religious minorities. The appointees of the USCIRF are not even paid! -- and it is about the most efficient body associated with the federal government. SENATOR TO OBAMA: FT HOOD ATTACK NOT "WORKPLACE VIOLENCE" - During a joint session of the House and Senate Homeland Security Committees on December 7th, Senator Susan Collins (R-MA) blasted a letter by the Department of Defense labeling the Fort Hood jihad attack by Major Nidal Hasan, as a case of workplace violence. Hasan killed 14 people including an unborn child and wounded 29 others on November 5th 2009. Read more

SHUTDOWN OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM? - The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) will cease to operate if Congress does not pass and President Obama does not sign into law no later than Dec. 16, legislation either reauthorizing it or continuing its funding. USCIRF is currently funded in a spending bill that expires on that date. Human rights activist Faith McDonnell said, "Dissolution of USCIRF would send a message to tyrants and thug regimes around the world that the United States no longer considers religious freedom a priority." POLAND'S FIRST HONOR KILLING - A prosecutor in Sieradz says that Poland has probably seen its first case of honor killing. A 34-year old mother of four named Agnieszka was murdered two years ago in June. Prosecution has accused a 40-year old Pakistani called Naaem, who has lived in Poland for 10 years. The investigation, according to prosecutor Józef Mizerski, is not a typical one in Poland. It is known as "the honor killing". In Pakistan, in 2007 alone, 1261 women lost their lives and none of the perpetrators was held responsible", says Mizerski. Read more
LONDON'S MORE MODERATE MOSQUE - A speaker at the "moderate" East London mosque is responsible for the following statement: Sheikh Saad al-Beraik, who has reportedly stated: "Muslim brothers in Palestine, do not have any mercy neither compassion on the Jews, their blood, their money, their flesh. Their women are yours to take, legitimately. God made them yours. Why don't you enslave their women? Why don't you wage jihad? Why don't you pillage them?" Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

JIHAD DOES NOT EXIST? - The Department of Homeland Security head, Janet Napolitano, gave her opinions of the attempted Jihad attack on the United States which occurred on Christmas Day. In USA Today on the 30th, she managed to write a lengthy Op-ed without once using the words jihad, Islam, Muslim, or war. Her comments are a follow up to the first remarks of Barack Obama on the failed Jihad attack when he referred to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab as an "isoliated extremist." Did this "isolated extremist" pick up at some drug store the military grade PTN explosives he attempted to use on the plane? After a brief announcement the President returned to the beach for the rest of his Hawaiian vacation, apparently oblivious to the media storm surrounding what could have been an attack that halted air travel for weeks and caused the economy to dive. Only days later, when his advisers realized the severity of the issue, was a speech written to run on his teleprompter so he could address the attack as being serious.  
BIN LADEN OF THE INTERNET - American born imam Anwar Al-Awlaki gave an Islamic blessing to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab for the attempted murder of a plane full of people on Christmas Day. This same imam is connected to Nadir Hasan, the Muslim who murdered his fellow soldiers and an unborn baby in November at Ft. Hood. President Obama has still not defined the Ft. Hood attack as terror, so the Patriot Act can't be used to try to arrest Awlaki who is obviously now a ranking leader of Al Qaeda in Yemen. Oddly the Obama Administration is releasing terrorists from GITMO to Yemen. Several of those released are already working in Yemen with Al Qaeda to kill innocent civilians. ADMINISTRATION TERROR RESPONSE: THREATEN REPORTERS - Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano jumped right into action after the failed Christmas Day bombing of an airliner; she had subpoenas issued and seized the computers of news reporters. The reporters were threatened with arrest because they had released a TSA memo that told airlines not to allow passengers to have blankets on their laps. Why the heavy handed actions against the reporters? The memo was so stupid it was laughable and was mocked in blogs all over the Internet. The TSA didn't want their stupidity exposed and decided to threaten the reporters. Read more

THE CONGRESS

CONGRESSMAN WANTS MILITARY TO TRY TERRORIST - Rep. Peter King of New York has demanded that would-be airplane bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab be tried before a military tribunal instead of in a civilian court. King says it will be difficult to get useful information from the terrorist if he is given the legal rights in a civilian court. Because the Obama Administration believes the attack was by an "isolated extremist," it is doubtful that he will be treated as a military combatant.  
HOUSE AND SENATE IN RECESS - The House and Senate have been in recess for Christmas and New Year's Day. The House and Senate will return on Monday, January 16th, 2010.

CULTURE AND RELIGION

BIRTH MOTHER MUST GIVE CHILD TO LESBIAN - The birth mother of a Virginia girl who is just seven years old must surrender the child to a lesbian who is unrelated to her. A court would never take custody from a mother and give a child to a former boyfriend who was unrelated ... However, homosexuals now receive special treatment in jobs, housing and even the courts. The mother. Lisa Miller, a former lesbian who is now a Christian, has refused to return the child and has left Virginia. Read more

RAPE OF CHRISTIAN GIRLS IN EGYPT - The systematic abduction, rape and forced conversion of Christian girls to Islam in Egypt was shown on an Arab language Christian TV channel. Life TV broadcasts from outside Egypt and may have as many as 60 million viewers. Even Christians in Egypt were shocked by the testimonies of girls as young as twelve who had been kidnapped, raped and forced into Muslim marriages. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

THIRTY CZARS AND COUNTING - The "czar" situation at the White House is getting out of hand. There are now thirty czars, with President Obama looking for more. They have been given decision making power that is normally reserved for departments that are funded and controlled by acts of Congress. Some of the czars, such as Science Czar John Holdren, are just flat scary. In the past, Holdren has said forced abortions may be needed to save the planet from mankind. He sees people as a threat to the Earth. The "Terrorism Czar," John Brennan, has a long history of hostility toward the CIA. And let's not forget the unfathomable choice of Kevin Jennings as the "Safe Schools Czar." Jennings once said, "One of the people that's always inspired me is Harry Hay." Hay is the founder of NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association) which promotes homosexual sex between older men and young boys. Most of these czars are unvetted. They did not have to answer any questions from Congress, nor did they have to pass security clearances. Some have actually belonged to communist affiliated organizations, and one has praised Hugo Chavez as a model for the rest of Latin America.  

OBAMA TO ISRAEL: "SHRINK AND DIE" - Obama wants Israel to shrink itself to a size smaller that the total area of Houston, Texas. He believes that the Muslims, who already control 99% of the Middle East plus parts of Asia and Europe, must be given the land that Jews fought and died for to make "peace." Israel has been shrinking itself at the insistence of both Democrat and Republican presidents since Jimmy Carter. The result has been more terrorist attacks, not only on Israel but on the United States. Osama bin Laden, in his many statements, has made it clear that the 9-11 Jihad attack on the USA was punishment for supporting the very existence of Israel, regardless of its size.
 
HILLARY CLINTON AND ANTI-SEMITIC LEADERS - Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez has been influenced by his good ally Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and it appears the leftist movement in Latin America is moving toward the persecution of Jews. David Romero Ellner, a leftist supporter of ousted leftist president Manuel Zelaya in Honduras said, "Sometimes I ask myself if Hitler wasn't right when he wanted to finish with that race, through the famous holocaust, because if there are people that are harmful to this country, they are the Jews, the Israelites." Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama are supporting the return to power of Zelaya and his hateful anti-Semitic administration. He was removed legally by the Honduran Supreme Court after he tried to give himself a lifetime term as President, as did Chavez in Venezuela. Many Jews in Central America are now headed toward the United States and Israel because of the fear of persecution. Read more

THOUGHT CRIMES IN DEFENSE BILL- "No one doubts that the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 is an important piece of legislation. Its essential elements will provide for our troops the critical resources they need to accomplish their mission. However, the Majority in this Congress has cynically included hate crimes provisions in this legislation that threaten the very freedoms of speech and religion that draw our soldiers into the uniform of this nation." Those were the words of Congressman Mike Pence as he announced he could not vote for the Defense authorization bill because radical Nancy Pelosi added language that criminalized speech. CULTURE AND RELIGION

SALAZAR VS. BUONO - That is the title of the case that was heard before the Supreme Court this week concerning a war memorial in a Mojave Desert federal park. Secularists and atheists want the memorial to fallen American servicemen torn down because it is in the shape of a cross. So far the atheists and the secularists have prevailed in lower courts. The case is very significant in that virtually every federal cemetery in the nation, including Arlington National Cemetery, has crosses. Virtually every grave in Arlington either has a cross or Star of David. The Supreme Court itself has several reliefs on the building and in the Court itself depicting religious faith. Should the Court side with the secularists and atheists, every religious symbol in our nation on public land would be in danger of removal. On Tuesday, October 6th I was one of the presenters at a press conference next to the Supreme Court. The purpose of the press conference was to remind the Court, the press and the nation of the Judeo-Christian foundations of our nation. See video of press conference here

US/UN APPROVE BLASPHEMY LAWS - Back in August I reported in this update about how Muslims rampaged in the Christian area of Gojra, Pakistan killing at least seven Christians and injuring many more. More than 100 Christian homes were looted and burned because of an unsubstantiated rumor of "blasphemy." Muslims accused the Christians of misuse of the Quran. There have been no arrests. Blasphemy laws in Pakistan are used against Christians and others when Muslims want to steal land or settle other disputes of revenge. Blasphemy laws are a tool against free speech in Islamic nations. Oddly the Obama Administration has now sided with Muslim nations in the UN who want to silence a free press worldwide.

The United States voted for a UN resolution which would be considered unconstitutional under our First Amendment . The UN Human Rights Council adopted the anti-blasphemy resolution that was sponsored by Egypt and the US. Read more  

MORE PAKISTANI PERSECUTION - This year a billion and a half of our taxpayer dollars will be given to Pakistan despite the fact that audits show that 80% of aid is lost to corruption. Meanwhile Christians continue to face persecution. Murders of Christians and the destruction of Christian homes is becoming ever more frequent. Yet, the Obama Administration refuses to put restrictions on the use of the aid money that would bring some relief to the persecuted. Read more

IRAQI CHRISTIAN REFUGEES - The persecution of our brothers and sisters in Christ who fled Iraq has gotten worse since our troops left the cities. Rather than Christians returning to Iraq, more are making their way to Jordan and Syria. Our ministry is barred from operating in Syria, but our feeding and medical program continues in Jordan. A third shipment of medical supplies has been delivered, and this week we funded our feeding program in Amman for another three months. Your help is still needed.

How Obama defends marriage - NOT / Obama's payoff to George Soros / Money to Brazilian oil giant for drilling offshore? / Congress in recess / Ohio teen faces death by Sharia / More Christians die in India

THE PRESIDENCY

DEFENDING DOMA? - It is the duty of the President and the Justice Department to defend the laws passed by the Congress and signed by a president. It is the duty of the Justice Department to defend lawsuits against DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act, that was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Bill Clinton. President Obama and his Justice Department have a funny way of defending the law.

A legal brief filed in "support" of DOMA declared that the administration "does not support DOMA as a matter of policy" and "believes that the Act is discriminatory and should be repealed by Congress." President Obama in a written statement then said that he has "long held that DOMA prevents LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered] couples from being granted equal rights and benefits." This is just one of many instances in which the Obama Administration refuses to abide by the law. The Justice Department also dismissed cases against Black Panthers who had threatened voters at the polls. Apparently the Obama Justice Department believes that threatening voters with baseball bats is part of the Democratic process.

REWARDING GEORGE SOROS - Left-wing nutcase billionaire George Soros plunked down many millions of dollars to help Barack Obama win the Democratic primary. The same George Soros owned a huge stake in the Brazilian oil giant Petrobras. Since Barack Obama was sworn into office Soros has bought hundreds of millions of dollars more of Petrobras stock. President Obama, who says he is against drilling for oil offshore in the United States, then ordered the US Export - Import Bank to guarantee $2 billion in loans to Petrobras to drill offshore in Brazil. The loan guarantees by the Obama Administration caused the stock to jump 10% in a day making George Soros more millions of dollars to spend on far left-wing causes. I highly recommend Petrobras stock (PDR). The company is under the wing of the Obama Administration and has huge offshore oil reserves that Obama will help develop. NOTE: some liberal media outlets are reporting that Soros had sold his Petrobras stock. This is NOT true. Just before the US loan guarantee Soros traded some of his common stock for preferred stock which then shot up in value.

THE AUGUST RECESS - Both the House and Senate have now gone into August recess and will not return until after Labor Day, which falls on September 7th this year.

TEEN FACES DEATH BY SHARIA - Honor killings by Muslims are now not uncommon in London as the number of Muslims in the UK continues to grow. Hundreds of honor killings occur in formerly Christian European nations each year. But there have been only about 50 honor killings of women in North America in total, although some are wrongly attributed just to domestic violence. One of the highest profile killings was the recent beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan
Now, a 17-year-old Ohio girl who has faced abuse from her Muslim father has become a Christian. Having been told by him that she must die because she "dishonored" the family, she fled to Florida. Today a Florida Court will decide if she should be sent back to near certain death. Hear her first hand story at YouTube.

MORE KILLINGS IN INDIA - Last August, I wrote extensively in weekly updates and in the Chairman's Report about the violence against Christians in Orissa, India. Hindu nationalists wrongfully blamed Christians for the assassination of a Hindu extremist in August, 2008. Although many Christians were killed at the end of August and early September, 2008 the violence did not stop then. Since that time, at least 120 people have been murdered, 250 churches destroyed and over 50,000 individuals have become refugees in their own country.

There are now eight states in India that have passed anti-conversion laws, the same kind of laws that are used to persecute Christians in Muslim nations. However, these are laws being passed by Hindu extremists because millions of Indians each year are turning to Christ. There are now over twenty-five million Christians in India. Although the Prime Minister of India is a Sikh, there are now more Christians in India that Sikhs. Still, Christians are under represented in government offices. The persecution in Orissa continues and the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, says nothing. As long as America looks the other way and says nothing the persecution will continue, and will probably get worse.
