Obama admits Muslim victim of terror to USA, but not Christians - The non-profit group Tuesday's Children invited four victims of terror to a summer camp in the USA. Of the four Nigerian teenagers who applied to the U.S. embassy for visas at the behest of Tuesday's Children, the embassy denied visa requests for the three who are Christian but accepted the one who is Muslim. Petition to Congress: Allow Christian terror victims to come to camp in USA - A full investigation must be made by both the House and Senate as to why three Christian kids who were victims of terror were denied visas for a summer camp, while the one Muslim on the same application was approved. Obama's Arab Spring causes persecution - A Pew Research Center study has found that since the beginning of the so-called "Arab Spring" in 2010 - engineered by Barack Hussein Obama - religious persecution against Christians has increased throughout the Middle East. Read more
Obama spy program on churches OK, but not on mosques - The Washington Examiner has published a two-part expose on Obama's spying program in American churches, looking for those who have "anti-government" opinions. While this spy program is going on, targeting conservative Christians, Obama has put spying in mosques off limits. Read more

Senators move to block aid to Syria jihadists - A bipartisan group of senators has introduced legislation to block the U.S. from escalating its involvement in the Syrian civil war, as concerns mount on Capitol Hill over the Obama administration's plan to directly arm rebels. Senators Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT), Tom Udall (D-NM) and Chris Murphy (D-CN) introduced the bill Thursday to prohibit the Defense Department and intelligence agencies from funding operations in Syria. Congressmen and Senators want military religious liberty protections - President Obama is objecting to an amendment proposed by Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) and amendments by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). Fleming's amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act would expand protection of the rights of conscience to members of the Armed Forces and to Chaplains. Read more

Being a Christian worse than being a murderer? - What then does it mean when the Koran says that "fitnah is worse than killing"? According to Ibn Kathir, to disbelieve in Allah is to be guilty of the crime of shirk or, as he puts it, "committing disbelief." Shirk, he says, is fitnah, the crime worse than killing. Saudi Arabia: Years in jail for helping a woman in need - Saudi women's rights activists Wajeha Al-Huweidar and Fawzia Al-'Uyouni were sentenced to prison for trying to help a Canadian woman living in Saudi Arabia. The woman was locked in the basement with her kids and without food; her Saudi husband will not allow her to return to Canada. Read more
Nigeria: Muslims brag about killing kids - The Muslim terror group Boko Haram issued a statement bragging about the murders of nine young students at their school for the "crime" of helping the Nigerian army. This is the second attack on children by the Boko Haram this week. The Obama Administration refuses to list the Boko Haram as a terror organization. Read more
Syria: No word on kidnapped bishops - Lebanon's Maronite Catholic patriarch and Syria's Greek Orthodox patriarch called for the release of two Orthodox bishops kidnapped in Syria. "We demand the kidnappers and the countries concerned" to release the two bishops and the two priests kidnapped before them," said Lebanese Cardinal Bechara Rai, the Maronite patriarch, and Greek Orthodox Patriarch John X in a joint statement. You can help save the Bishops by signing this petition to Congress!
Syria: At least 300 Western jihadists held - Hundreds of Western jihadists from more than a dozen nations including the United States, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and even Sweden have died in Syria fighting the secular government. The Syrian government has now revealed that it is also holding about 300 Western jihadists, including Americans, as prisoners..
Syria: UN says "rebels" used poison gas - A United Nations commission of inquiry into the use of Sarin by Syrian terrorists is led by Carla Del Ponte. She said her investigators "have been in neighboring countries interviewing victims, doctors and field hospitals, and, according to their report - which I have seen, there are strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof of the use of Sarin gas, from the way the victims were treated. This was use on the part of the opposition, the rebels, not by the government authorities." Read more

Hillary: What difference does it make why they died? - In one of the most bizarre testimonies before Congress that I have ever seen, the U.S. Secretary of State said about the murder of one of her Ambassadors, "What difference at this point does it make?" It might make a difference to a Coptic Christian whose trailer for a bad movie was blamed by the leader of the free world for a series of Al Qaeda attacks against American diplomatic facilities and who was sent to prison on the orders of members of the administration. Obama: "Peace in our time" - Apparently no one in the entire White House has ever studied any 20th century history at all. (If they had, there would be some realization that Communism failed). Beyond that, Obama used the term "Peace in our time" in his Inaugural Address. This phrase was first used by Prime Minister Neville Chamberland upon signing an agreement with Hitler in 1938, giving part of another nation to the Nazi's in return for "peace." Obama supports death on Roe anniversary - President Obama's statement on the 40th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade speaks for itself. He talks of a woman's right to make "decisions" about her own body ... but it is not the woman's body that is destroyed by an abortion; it is her baby's body.

Senators support Right to Life March - Pro-life Senators sent out tweets to mark the 40th anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision. This Supreme Court ruling legalized abortion on demand as a "privacy" issue. The decision has resulted in the killing of an estimated 50 million unborn babies since then. Only Mao Tse Tung has killed more human beings - an estimated 60 million. Read more
Republican Leader supports Right to Life March - Majority Leader Eric Cantor honored pro-lifers for their commitment to the right to life of every unborn child during a floor speech this week. In contrast, President Barack Hussein Obama, who is the best friend Planned Parenthood can buy, issued a proclamation celebrating the Roe v. Wade ruling as a victory for women, the "freedom to choose" and the right to privacy. Read more

Right to Life March - Hundreds of thousands of people descended on Washington, DC today to morn the loss of 55 million American babies who have been murdered since the Roe v. Wade decision which allows the termination of a pregnancy up to the moment a woman goes into labor. Most of the establishment news services will not report, or will under report, the significance of the size of the demonstration.

EGYPT: More Arab Spring attacks - A thousand Muslims attacked the predominantly Christian village of el-Marashda (province of Quena, Upper Egypt). Incited by outside religious authorities, extremists burned down homes and shops and tried to demolish the local church. Read more
JORDAN: Syrian refugee girls taken for Islamic "pleasure marriages" - Syrian female refugees aged 14 and 15 who fled their country to Jordan and Iraq are being forced into "pleasure marriages. "Apart from being a cover for legalized prostitution (the marriage can last for as little as 30 minutes), Nikah al-Mut'ah (temporary marriage) deprives the "wife" of many rights. Read more

The Jewish Terrorist - In March, 2008 during the Jewish holiday of Purim a bomb exploded in the home of the Ortiz family in Ariel, Samara. The Ortiz family are dear friends of mine and I have stayed at their apartment numerous times. Only their youngest teenage son was home home at the time the bomb exploded, and he was just one foot from the bomb. He was severely injured and spent over a year in hospitals and had dozens of operations. Because his father David Ortiz took the Gospel to Arabs in the area, it was assumed that the attack came from them, but it did not. An American-born Jew who had become an extremist set off the bomb. He had also killed Palestinians and bombed a church. The strange case ended this week with his conviction for murder and attempted murder. Report From Washington - February 17, 2012

ATTACK ON THE CAPITOL - My Friday on Capitol Hill was interrupted when I learned that a Muslim with what he thought was an explosive vest had been arrested on his way to the Capitol Building to blow himself up and "kill as many people as possible." MSNBC reported the man was Moroccan but never mentioned that he was a Muslim. The story never made it as a headline at CNN. The CNN site referred to him as "a man," and never used the words, 'Muslim' or 'terror'. On the other hand Fox News reported that the Moroccan Muslim was arrested after prayer at his mosque in Virginia but before reaching the Capitol Building. It is my guess is that if ABC, CBS or NBC mentions the story tonight that the Moroccan's prayers at the mosque will not be mentioned and no mention will be made of Islam or terror. CAIR will, I am sure, release a statement soon stating that the terrorist was "entrapped" by the FBI.

OBAMA, RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND SOCIAL JUSTICE - To Barack Obama religion and democracy are secondary to "social justice." What is social justice? Social justice is whatever a liberal wants to accomplish at any given moment. In the case of Obama Care, social justice is making sure every woman of child bearing age in the United States can have sex without the "burden" of children. During his 2008 campaign for the presidency, Obama actually said about his two daughters, "I don't want them punished with a baby." Faced with an absolute prohibition in the Constitution to government intervention in the affairs of the Church, Obama ordered churches to supply contraceptives and even the "morning after" abortion bill. In his mind, as in the minds of virtually all liberals, babies are a preventable disease. Liberals have a self-loathing of humanity. OBAMA'S ARAB SPRING - President Barack Obama has worked to push out secular leaders of several Muslim nations in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood. This is the result: Hazem Saleh Abu Ismail, Egypt's presidential candidate and a vocal supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, has said that there is no room for personal freedom in Islam. ""If you claim that Allah considers it your personal freedom, show me your reference? Nobody has ever said that - except for people have no understanding of Sharia," Ismail said. Read more

CONGRESS 

SENATOR SPEAKS ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - Sen. Roy Blunt, (R-MO), who heads the Values Action Team in the Senate, argued that the debate over forcing church organizations to furnish contraceptives is "not about cost" but rather about faith-based institutions' right to moral objection. "This is not a financial consideration - if you're opposed to something because it costs money, that's different from being opposed to it because you have a moral objection to it or a faith-based objection to it." HEARINGS ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - the House held hearings on the HHS mandates that require religious organizations to furnish contraceptives, sterilization and the morning after pill to employees. Representatives of the Catholic Church, as well as various Protestant and Jewish groups, testified that the mandate was a danger to the very basic Constitutional guarantee of religious freedom. BLASPHEMY NIGHT AT CHURCH - St. George's Anglican Church in St. Catherine's, Ontario, a church apparently operated by a band of giggling pagan priestesses, staged The Vagina Monologues this week at the altar. The Vagina Monologues. a play which has been around since 1996, glorifies "sex workers" which is the liberal term for prostitutes, lesbians and people involved in various other forms of immorality. Read more. This is not isolated to Canadian churches. The promoters of this filth seek churches out for their performances in both Canada and the United States.
COLORADO SCHOOLS AND ISLAM - A Colorado high school student quit the school choir rather than sing an Islamic song containing the lyric "there is no other truth except Allah." James Harper, a senior at Grand Junction High School in Grand Junction, objected to singing "Zikr," which is in essence an Islamic confession of faith. Read more

INTERPOL ENFORCING SHARIA LAW - this is a staggering and scary story. Apparently the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) caused the arrest of Saudi newspaper columnist Hamza Kashgari in Malaysia. His reported crime, committing blasphemy in Saudi Arabia. He was deported back to the Saudi kingdom to almost certain death. A Malaysian police spokesman verified that: "This arrest was part of an Interpol operation which the Malaysian police were a part of. He will be put to death for the following tweet: "I have loved things about you and I have hated things about you. There is a lot I don't understand about you - I will not pray for you." President Obama has granted Interpol permission to operate in the United States with immunity, although they do not have arrest authority as yet.
ISLAMIST COUP IN MALDIVES - Male, Maldives is a destination for wealthy tourists. Resorts line the shores of the Island. However, last week hard-line Islamists helped in overthrowing the democratically elected government. In a coup this week President Mohamed Nasheed was ousted as his political adversaries claimed he was trying to undermine their faith.

HUTTON HOTEL CANCELS CONFERENCE ON SHARIA- The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, TN has cancelled the Preserving Freedom Conference scheduled for 11/11/11. Amerimar Investments at first said they had received "threats," but later claimed that two of our speakers "incited" people to violence. Any criticism of Islam is forbidden under Sharia law. Not even non-Muslims may be critical of any aspect of Sharia. The Hutton Hotel can now be said to be Sharia compliant in this regard. Read more

LIBERTY COUNSEL JOINS FIGHT IN NASHVILLE- The founder and president of Liberty Counsel, Mat Staver, was one of the slated speakers at the Preserving Freedom Conference in Nashville. As chief counsel for Liberty Counsel, he has argued numerous cases before the Supreme Court. Staver has now issued a letter to the Hutton Hotel and its owners demanding that they honor their contract and allow the conference to continue. Read more

THIRD HOTEL MAY CANCEL? - A Hyatt Hotel in Sugarland, TX cancelled an anti-Sharia conference at which Pamela Geller was scheduled to speak just one week before Islamists convinced the Hutton Hotel in Nashville to tear up its legally binding contract with the Preserving Freedom Conference. Now a hotel in Maryland is being pushed to cancel an annual event held there by a conservative group because one of the scheduled conference panels deals with Sharia. Read more

SHARIA USE IN US COURTS - A Florida appeals court ruled that Judge Richard Nielsen could use Islamic law to decide a key issue in a lawsuit involving a local mosque. The judge had found earlier that the mosque had violated Sharia law by expelling trustees. The mosque supports the use of Sharia law except in this case when it lost. Read more

U.S. MUSLIMS DEMAND CATHOLIC SCHOOL REMOVE CRUCIFIX - How demanding have Muslims become? They are now insisting that a Catholic University remove crucifixes from the walls of classrooms so they are not offended. A left-wing nutty professor at Catholic University of America filed the complaint with the Washington D.C. Office of Human Rights which is now actively investigating. Apparently they find some merit in a complaint that a Catholic school is somehow violating "human rights" by displaying Catholic symbols,

THE LEFT IGNORES HUMAN RIGHTS - The left's worst crime in the Middle East has been its support for the region's Arab-Muslim majority at the expense of minorities. Leftists have supported the majority's terrorism, atrocities, ethnic cleansing and repression of the region's minorities. Very rarely have they raised their voices in support of endangered minorities, and when they have done so, it was in muted tones completely different from their vigorous defenses of the nationalism of the Arab Muslim majority.

THE ARAB SPRING HAS SPRUNG - The first nation to "revolt" in the so-called Arab Spring was Tunisia and the first election results are in. An Islamist party has won over 40% of the vote and will form the new government. Before the "Arab Spring," Tunisia was the "model" secular nation in the Arab world. Just prior to the election the new leaders in Tunisia had announced that any new constitution would follow Sharia law. Read more

ISLAM AT ITS BEST - Muslim pirates kidnapped a very ill French woman and refused her medication, causing her death. Now the Muslims are holding her body for ransom. "The hostage-takers are even trying to sell the remains, it could not be more despicable," said French Defence Minister Gerard Longuet. "Seizing a woman of this age, who is sick and paralysed, and not giving her her medication, allowing her to develop septicaemia from which she apparently died, and then proposing to sell her remains! These are not people who deserve anything but contempt," Longuet said. Read more

MORE CHRISTIANS DIE AT MUSLIM HANDS -Five Catholic plantation workers were massacred by Moro Islamists in a pre-dawn attack on their village. The victims were aboard a vehicle of the Tumahubong Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Incorporated Development Cooperative on the way to Cabengbeng village when they were attacked. About 40 followers of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) commander Dan Laksaw Asnawi perpetrated the ambush. Chairman’s Report for October 14, 2011

THE PRESIDENT AND THE ARAB SPRING

NO SUPPORT FOR EGYPTIAN CHRISTIANS – President Barack Obama organized NATO airstrikes to assist Islamic rebels in overthrowing the government of Libyan strongman Moammar Gaddafi. The President was also instrumental in unseating the secular president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak. The President used very strong rhetoric when calling for an “Arab Spring” and the removal of secular leaders in several Middle Eastern nations including Yemen. Now, as one Christian church after the other is burned and as Christians lie dead in the street, murdered by police, little is heard from the White House.

Under the secular leadership of President Hosni Mubarak, Christians and their property were somewhat protected from radical jihadists. When local police allowed or participated in violence against Christians, former President Mubarak sent army troops. In some cases the government built protective walls around churches. Under the new military regime which President Obama ushered into power, many of those protective walls have been removed.

On October 8^th Coptic Christians took to the streets in Cairo to protest the burning of the Mar Gerges Church in the Elmarenab village of Aswan. They were immediately attacked by the police and several Christians were killed. Outraged thousands of Coptic Christians took to the streets to demonstrate. The outnumbered police called in the army to kill even more Christians. At last count there were 36 Christians dead and hundreds more injured. This is Barack Obama’s “Arab Spring,” a so-called peaceful revolution that has empowered in Egypt the radical Muslim Brotherhood, a group Obama’s Administration calls “secular in nature.”

OBAMA SUPPORTS THOSE TRASHING WALL STREET - “I think it expresses the frustrations that the American people feel,” the President told NBC News. “People are frustrated and the protesters are giving voice to a more broad-based frustration about how our financial system works.” The demonstrators, many whom have been arrested for trespassing and destruction of property, have trashed the small park once enjoyed by children near the financial center. Vice President Biden called those destroying property and blocking traffic an “answer to the Tea Party”. Big union bosses have now stepped forward as well, in support of a class war. What do the demonstrators “occupying” Wall Street believe? Signs at their make shift camp where they urinate on the trees they claim to love, read: “Eat the Rich” “Kill Corporations” and “Redistribute the Wealth.” Others flat out say “Down with Capitalism.” Many of the signs are so vulgar and violent that they are nor shown in TV reports or seen in newspapers.

These radicals, mostly anarchists with violent tendencies, are called allies by the Obama-Biden Administration and the big union bosses. Welcome to a state of class warfare.

WHAT THE PRESIDENTIAL CHALLENGERS BELIEVE – Over the years I have had the privilege to work on various projects with some of the current Republican candidates for President and I have met and talked to most of them more than once. Just before she announced her run for the presidency I was one of just eight conservative leaders who had lunch with Michele Bachmann at the Capitol Hill club in Washington, DC.

What kind of people are the Republican candidates and how do they differ from Obama? Back in the late 1990’s, then Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared at several press conferences held by the Religious Freedom Coalition in support of a Religious Freedom Amendment to the Constitution that would allow kids and teachers to pray in school. One rather famous photo shows me speaking at a podium with the entire House leadership of Newt Gingrich, Dick Armey and Tom DeLay standing behind me. Although he never commented on Islam during the George W. Bush presidency, once Obama was sworn in Gingrich made numerous statements and produced documentaries on Islamic oppression.

Over a period of many years Senator Rick Santorum ran a separate International Religious Freedom Caucus in the Senate. He held monthly meetings with organizations such as the Religious Freedom Coalition not only to discuss, but to take action against the persecution of religious minorities, not just in the Middle East, but in China and Vietnam as well. In July of 2006 I was with Senator Santorum at a press conference at the Press Club in Washington, DC when he was the first seated politician to use the phrase “Islamic fascism,” much to the disdain of the White House. Far from backing down, at a later meeting at the White House with Senators  he held a copy of the speech up in the air and asked President George W. Bush to read it.

Rick Santorum is a conservative, believing Catholic. He and his wife Karen, who is a nurse, have seven living children.  On November 12, 2004, Rick and Karen were invested as Knight and Dame of Magistral Grace of the Knights of Malta in a ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York City. Only the most conservative of Catholics would receive such an honor. During conversations with the couple at a meeting here in Washington, DC, Karen told me that her only disagreement ever with her husband was when he backed liberal Republican Senator Arlen Specter for reelection. She is definitely no Laura Bush.

I have known Herman Cain for many years and back in 2004 my political action committee, Government Is Not God, supported his Senate campaign because of his outspoken support of social conservative causes. Recently he told the Values Voter Summit, “I am 100 % pro-life from the hour of conception.” Herman Cain is not just a businessman. He worked for six years in the Department of the Navy and has made it clear he is opposed to homosexuals serving openly in the military. Cain stands with social conservatives on virtually every issue. In my presence, in meetings he has called Islamists an existential threat to America.

The views of Congresswoman Michele Bachmann were well known before she declared for the presidency. During a recent conversation, Michele Bachman told me, “I thought I was a Christian because I was born into a Lutheran family. As a teenager I heard the Gospel with two girlfriends at an evangelical church and I made the decision to abandon myself for Jesus.” Several times during the conversation Michele used the term “abandoned myself” to describe her conversion experience.
In small group discussions I have been in with Michele Bachmann, she has convinced me that she understands the threat of Islamic domination of the world. This month I met her husband Marcus for the first time. He is a Christian psychologist whose office is surrounded by homosexual demonstrators virtually every week because he accepts patients who don’t want to be “gay” any more.

I have met Congressman Ron Paul numerous times and he is a true libertarian. Unfortunately libertarians like Ron Paul agree more often with Barack Obama on social issues than with me. He sees absolutely no need for the United States to assist persecuted Christians. He believes that sales of drugs, including heroin, and the sale of one’s body for use in prostitution should be up to each state. Because of his position on same-sex marriage he has been endorsed by the “conservative” gay political action committee Log Cabin Republicans.
While I met briefly with Rick Perry when he was Lieutenant Governor of Texas, I have never had an in depth conversation with him to try to discern his sincerity. I have never met with Governor Romney as we do not travel, shall we say, in the same circles. My purpose here is to talk about those I know personally and to try to convey the difference between them and President Barack Obama.

The four Republicans I have met and interacted the most with — Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum — have profound differences with President Barack Obama. In conclusion, none of these four support the radical class war demonstrations across the nation that are supported by Barack Obama, the Democratic Party and the major labor unions. In fact, none of the Republican candidates support the anarchist demonstrators.

THE CONGRESS ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND TERROR

CONGRESSMAN EXPOSES GROVER NORQUIST - In a speech on October 4th, Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) expressed concern about celebrated economic conservative figure Grover Norquist and his influence on the political process in Washington. Wolf questioned his association with several individuals, groups and causes many would consider unsavory. Wolf pointed to Norquist’s relationship with convicted felon Jack Abramoff and terrorist financiers Abdurahman Alamoudi and Sami Al-Arian. He also raised the issue of Norquist’s advocacy of moving Guantanamo Bay detainees to the United States, including 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed. Norquist’s representation of the Internet gambling industry and Fannie Mae as a consultant was also questioned by Wolf. Although Grover Norquist’s association with radical Muslims and other questionable characters has been discussed online, this is the first time the evidence has been detailed by a congressman.

Just one week prior to Wolf’s statement, investigative journalist Ken Timmerman wrote a scathing article for Front Page Magazine that discussed Norquist’s support of “open borders,” and also his support for letting the gay group “Log Cabin Republicans” join the Conservative Political Action Conference, which drove away many social conservatives. Besides championing the Ground Zero mosque, Timmerman wrote that Norquist supports a Muslim candidate for public office in Virginia who has changed his first name from Imad Afif to David.  Timmerman detailed Grover Norquist’s influence on behalf of Muslim causes in the George W. Bush White House and throughout the conservative movement in Washington, DC. Reports indicate that the phrases “religion of peace” and “hijacked religion” were coined in Norquist’s office shortly after the 9-11 jihad attack.

CULTURE AND RELIGION

JOURNALISM SCHOOL: 9-11 JIHAD NOT A BIG DEAL – Why is it that I am not surprised by this story at all? Professors Lawrence Pintak and Stephen Franklin, in a journalism course at Poynter Institute, said that the almost 3,000 victims who died in the 9-11 Jihad attack represented a small percentage of the 15,000 people murdered in America that year, and that worldwide jihad accounts for “only” one percent of murders each year, and thus jihad should be downplayed in any news story. Wow, and I thought that mass murder was always big news. The problem is that these are not just two nutty professors. The Poynter Institute is a leading school of journalism that trains many members of the media.

PERSECUTION OF CHRISTIANS – In the Presidency section of the Chairman’s Report I covered the events in Egypt. Since the fall of the secular government of Hosni Mubarak the situation for Christians in Egypt has continued to decline. Churches that have been repaired have been burned to the ground because of Sharia law. Under Sharia, Christians and Jews are Dhimmi. They are allowed to keep existing houses of worship, but may not repair them or build new ones. That is Sharia and you can expect it to be practiced soon in Dearborn, Michigan, where Muslims have apparently now reached a majority.

SHARIA FOR FRANCE - France’s decrepit city suburbs are becoming ‘separate Islamic societies’ cut off from the state, according to a major new study that examines the spread of Islam in France. Muslim immigrants are increasingly rejecting French values and identity and instead are immersing themselves in Islam, according to the report, which also warns that Islamic Sharia law is rapidly displacing French civil law in many parts of suburban Paris. The 2,200-page report, “Banlieue de la République” (Suburbs of the Republic), is the result of a one-year research effort into the four “i’s” that comprise the heart of the debate over French national identity: Islam, immigration, identity and insecurity.
