The Presidency 

Obama's HAMAS man - The Obama Administration has numerous members of the Muslim Brotherhood working in various posts. Several have been placed in key positions in the State Department and Department of Defense. This past week Salam al-Marayati, the founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), was chosen to represent the United States government at the OSCE in Warsaw. In the past he has claimed Israel had a role in the 9-11 attacks. Read more

Obama: Don't slander Islam - Diana West in an op-ed for Townhall looked deeper into Obama's comment at the United Nations criticizing those who "slander" Islam. That "slander" includes any statement that reflects badly on Islam, including reporting terrorists attacks on Christians, Buddhists and Hindus by Muslims. Read more

Lying to be reelected - I don't normally report on economic issues in this update, but I was so struck by the manipulation of the jobs numbers this morning that I have to comment. According to the Obama Administration over 800,000 people entered the job market and only 114,000 found jobs but the unemployment rate dropped from 8.1.% to 7.8% How can five times as many people enter the job market than there are jobs created -- and the unemployment rate goes down? The numbers simply don't work.

Congress 

Congress adjourns for election - On the House side there will be no votes after 3:00 PM today and the Congress will not return until after the November 6th election. On the Senate side, nothing much ever happens anyway under the leadership of Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) The Senate has not even passed a budget in over three years, instead financing the government with annual "omnibus" bills.

Congress and the forest fires - For several years I have heard rumors on Capitol Hill that congressmen were being secretly briefed on "wild fires" being started in the United States by radical Muslims associated with groups such as Al-Qaeda. As a result, the Russian secret service blaming Al-Qaeda for fires this summer in Europe is no surprise. Read more

Calling a terrorist a savage is "uncivilized" - Muslim terrorists killed more than thirty Christian students in Nigeria this past week but the murders received little notice in the Western media, which was busy condemning a Youtube clip that tells the truth about Islam. A Wall Street Journal writer noted the media condemnation of ads that Pamela Geller had placed in the New York subway calling terrorists savages, and the writer made this observation: "Call a Terrorist a 'Savage'? How Uncivilized"

Janet Jackson converts to Islam - Janet Jackson plans to marry Muslim billionaire Wissam Al Mana in Doha, Qatar next year in a Muslim ceremony. Turkish author, Adnan Oktar (aka Harun Yahya), has told the media that 46-year-old Janet Jackson has converted to Islam. (Her brother Michael Jackson also converted to Islam). Questions: What happens to all the lewd music videos she starred in? Does she wear a burka to dance in the future?

JORDAN: King dissolves Parliament - King Abdullah II dissolved parliament and called early elections on Thursday, ahead of a major public demonstration planned by Islamists. The Muslim Brotherhood went ahead with its planned rally in central Amman today, with an estimated 50,000 supporters. The King appoints over half of the parliament now. The Muslim Brotherhood is demanding that all seats be filled by popular vote -- which would put them in power, as they are in Egypt. Christians, who now hold many seats in the government, would probably be excluded from a Muslim Brotherhood government. Donate now to help Christians in Jordan.
NIGERIA: Even MORE Christian students killed - No fewer than 40 students of the Adamawa State University in Mubi were killed by Muslim terrorists this past week -- 24 were shot and 16 had their throats cut. (This is a separate incident from the more than 30 individual shootings and killings of Christian students in Northern Nigeria over the past week). The Boko Haram sometimes kill Muslim students as well, because they are receiving a "Western education." So many Christians are murdered in Nigeria by Muslims each week that it is very difficult to differentiate the various news stories in African and Asian newspapers. The murders for the most part go unreported in the United States, as Muslims might be offended if it is noted that the killers were Muslims.
PAKISTAN: Put this nation on genocide list - There are calls to put Pakistan on a Genocide Watch list, amid mounting persecution of its religious minorities, says a lengthy report worth the read. Read more
EGYPT: Kill Christians where you can find them - The nation's jihad organizations dropped leaflets calling on Muslims to kill Christians wherever they found them. Islamists in the Constituent Assembly demanded that the Coptic Church's funds be placed under state financial control. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA AND OIL - Mr. President, you are a liar. There are 800 billion barrels of oil just in the Green Rover Formation, three times the total of Saudi Arabia. We note you use the word "proven" when you claim that the USA only has 2% of the world's oil reserves or just 22 billion barrels, but the word "proven" does not include federal lands and all the areas the government has forbidden drilling. Currently the USA produces 8.5 of the world's oil and 40% of the oil consumed in the USA is drilled right here in the USA. The nutty anti-people green agenda of the Democrat Party just will not allow more oil production in the USA.
ROMNEY THE DAY BEFORE ALABAMA - The day before he lost Alabama and Mississippi Mitt Romney said, "Sen. Santorum is at the desperate end of his campaign." Santorum won both states. Fearing a loss in Illinois as well Romney is shifting millions of dollars to buy radio and TV time there. The night of Santorum's win in the south Neal Cavuto on the Fox Business channel had seven Romney apologists in a row to explain how any Santorum victory was actually a Romney victory. It is just a little odd that both the left leaning and right leaning news outlets are pushing Mitt Romney as the GOP candidate.

CONGRESS 

CONGRESSMAN DEFENDS FOOD PANTRY - An Indiana food pantry was recently banned from distributing federal food items because its director routinely offered to pray with clients who had fallen on hard times. Clients received food regardless of their response to the prayer offers, but the organization that administers the federal food program said "The guidelines are no religious (activity) or teaching can be required for providing services." Rep. Todd Young, a Member of the Prayer Caucus, is looking into the situation and according to a spokesperson for his office, "It certainly appears there is a misinterpretation of some rules."

RELIGION AND CULTURE 

SURPRISE: NEW YORK TIMES BIAS AGAINST CHRISTIANS - The New York Times ran an ad by the Freedom from Religion Foundation telling liberal Catholics it was time for them to leave the church. An almost identical ad, with the same format, was sent to the New York Times addressed to "moderate" Muslims asking them to leave Islam. Of course, the Times refused to print that ad. This was such an incredible double standard that the New York Times refuses to even answer media questions about the ads. Read more.

MOROCCO: FORCED TO MARRY RAPIST - A 16-year-old Moroccan girl has committed suicide after a judge ordered her to marry her rapist, according to Moroccan media reports. Last year Amina al-Filali's parents filed charges against their daughter's rapist, a man 10 years older than her but it was only recently that a judge in the northern city of Tangier decided that instead of punishing him, the two must be married. UK: YEAR IN JAIL FOR ISLAM INSULT - On March 6th, 2012 Darren Conway was sentenced to a year in prison for posting anti-Islamic materials in the window of his ground-floor apartment in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. As the BBC puts it, he was "convicted of a religiously aggravated public order offense for putting anti-Islamic literature in his window." This is Sharia law in action. Read more
UK: CHRISTIANS HAVE NO RIGHT TO WEAR CROSS Christians do not have a right to wear a cross or crucifix openly at work, the British government is to argue in a landmark court case. In a highly significant move, ministers will fight a case at the European Court of Human Rights in which two British women will seek to establish their right to display the cross. It is the first time that the government has been forced to state whether it backs the right of Christians to wear the symbol at work. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY
OBAMA: LAST SECULAR GOVERNMENT MUST FALL - Conservatives in Congress have fallen in behind President Barack Obama's drive to oust the last secular government in the Middle East and replace it with one controlled by Hezbollah, a terrorist organization. Most of the Christians who fled the government set up in Iraq by President George W. Bush now live in Syria. Christians in Syria fully support the secular government of President Assad because they have seen the plight of Christians in nations such as Iraq and Egypt as the American government continues to favor Islamist governments over those that are secular in nature. If Obama wins in Syria, Christians will be massacred; there is no place left for them in the Middle East and this Administration has made it clear they are not welcome here. 
OBAMA: MILITARY AID FOR ASIA - President Obama, currently in Asia, has pledged a military buildup in the Pacific with military aid to Australia as a start. This is nuts. Australia is second only to Germany in financial soundness and does not need a dime from us in any form at all. Indeed our nation will have to borrow the money from China to send our military to Australia. Oddly, conservatives will support this while ignoring the Islamist threat from Indonesia. On his Asia trip President Obama again attacked Americans saying they are "lazy." What would it be like to have a President who was proud of our nation and its people?

CONGRESS 

FORBES FILES EGYPT RESOLUTION - Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA) has filed a resolution, H.Res. 459, that would encourage any new government convened in Egypt to fully allow for the freedom of religion. Forbes and 22 other congressmen also sent a letter to President Obama urging him to denounce the violence used by the Egyptian military against Coptic Christians in October.

NO PRAYER AT WW2 MEMORIAL - The Obama Administration is opposed to the World War II Memorial Prayer Act (H.R. 2070), introduced by Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) The bill would add President Franklin D. Roosevelt's D-Day prayer to the National World War II Memorial. President Roosevelt delivered the prayer to the nation on June 6, 1944, the day that American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy. Rep. Johnson said, "It is unconscionable that the Obama Administration would stand in the way of honoring our nation's distinguished World War II veterans. President Roosevelt's prayer gave solace, comfort, and strength to our nation and our brave warriors as we fought against tyranny and oppression. These words should be included among the tributes to the Greatest Generation memorialized on the National Mall."

RELIGION AND CULTURE
CULTURE BASED (SHARIA) JUSTICE - The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges wants the nation's judges to determine if there is "a culturally-based explanation" when deciding whether or not a child needs to be removed from the home because of abuse or neglect. The NCJFCJ wants judges to use the Council's "benchcard" as a legal tool and checklist on abuse and neglect cases. Under the benchcard's heading "LEGAL THRESHOLD FOR REMOVAL" is the inquiry: "Have the family's cultural background, customs and traditions been taken into account in evaluating the event and circumstances that led to the removal? Have the parent(s) cultural or tribal liaison/relevant other(s) been asked if there is a culturally-based explanation for the allegations in the petition?" In some jurisdictions, the terms of Sharia or Islamic law are already being offered as a defense for criminal abuse and forced marriages of minors. Read more CAIR ATTACKS MODERATE MUSLIMS - The Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) campaign of discrediting critics now includes attacking other Muslims who speak out against terrorism. Last week, CAIR called two Minneapolis activists "anti-Muslim" for their participation in a seminar which included a discussion about an Islamic terrorist group in Somalia. Both Omar Jamal and Abdirizak Bihi are Muslims. But CAIR's Minnesota chapter attacked them over their involvement with a seminar on Somali culture and their communities in America held Thursday in St. Paul. Read more
MARYLAND PUBLIC POOL FOR MUSLIMS ONLY? - Shehlla Khan, a Muslim in Howard County Maryland did not want people (read that as non-Muslims) watching her swim in the conservative, cover-all dress required by Islamic dress codes. The Columbia Association which controls the public pool immediately created a twice weekly, women only swim time. Will this satisfy the Muslim community? No, the goal is Sharia and Sharia says that non-Muslims may not look upon Muslim women. The policy of "Muslim only" public pools is a reality in London, UK and will be here soon.
SHARIA YES, CROSS NO - The Supreme Court declined to hear a case brought by the American Atheists challenging the constitutionality of crosses placed on Utah roadsides to honor fallen state troopers. The Utah Highway Patrol Association asked the Supreme Court to hear the case after the Tenth Circuit held that the crosses violated the Establishment Clause. With Utah's permission, a private nonprofit organization placed the cross memorials at sites where state troopers were killed in the line of duty. The Supreme Court's decision declining the case means that the Tenth Circuit's decision will stand. Justice Clarence Thomas dissented from the Court's denial of the case saying, "Today the Court rejects an opportunity to provide clarity to an Establishment Clause jurisprudence in shambles." He continued, "It is difficult to imagine an area of the law more in need of clarity."

RESIDENCY 

EGYPT: WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT - President Obama's National Intelligence Director said in February, "The term 'Muslim Brotherhood' is an umbrella term for a variety of movements, in the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried Al-Qaida as a perversion of Islam." (See video) This week, Mahmoud Ezzat, the Muslim Brotherhood's deputy Supreme Guide, told a forum in Cairo that the group wants to establish an Islamic state in Egypt. Read more  
MCCAIN FRONTS FOR OBAMA - On Good Friday morning Senator John McCain toured Benghazi, Libya and made rather bizarre contradictory remarks. He said he was there to "learn who the rebels are" and then later said that the rebels are "my heroes." Why would the aging Senator call a group of Muslim fighters, some of whom formerly fought and killed our troops in Afghanistan, "heroes?" Obama is destroying the last vestiges of secular governments in North Africa such as in Egypt, and they are being replaced by extremists Muslims; and Senator McCain is all smiles about the result. McCain's comments must sound odd to the families of the men who died at the hands of these fighters in Afghanistan.

The resolution supports the designation of the first weekend of May as Ten Commandments Weekend, a time to recognize the significant contributions the Ten Commandments have made in shaping the principles, institutions, and national character of the United States. NO 911 MOSQUE!

SON OF HAMAS WARNS AGAINST GZ MOSQUE - Last year, Mosab Hassan Yousef, whose father founded Hamas discussed on the Fox Business Channel why he feels the construction of the mosque in New York is a grave mistake. He said that building the mosque "on a graveyard" was like pouring "acid" on a wound. Yousef is the author of Son of Hamas. Although this was a short interview, Yousef made some powerful points about Feisal Rauf and his agenda. This interview is a great reminder of the real situation. Please pass it around. Watch here!

INTERNATIONAL 

PALM SUNDAY ATTACK IN PAKISTAN - Tensions are still running high in Pakistan where hundreds of Muslims on Saturday attacked the Christian village of Khokarki. The Muslims had organized a demonstration against a Christian man, Mushtaq Gill, and his son for allegedly desecrating the Qur'an. The mob wanted to "punish them publicly" before any police investigation was actually carried out. Read more  
GOOD FRIDAY DISASTER AVERTED IN INDONESIA - Indonesian Muslim Jihadists planted nine bombs, one weighing almost a 1,000 pounds near a cathedral in Serpong, just west of Jakarta. Some were placed under a gas pipeline to cause large numbers of casualties. Police learned of the bombs while questioning terror suspects who had sent letter bombs to officials. National police spokesman Anton Bachrul Alam said the bombs were timed to explode as Christian worshipers arrived at the church to celebrate Good Friday.
SAUDI ARABIA ARRESTS CHRISTIANS - Hundreds of Thousands of Christians from all over the world are hired to work in Saudi Arabia, but they are not allowed to worship the Lord. Two Indian Christians of a thriving Pentecostal house church are now in prison in Riyadh. Vasantha Sekhar Vara, 28, and Nese Yohan, 31, who are members of the "Rejoice in the Church of the Lord" congregation have been in "pre-trail" detention. In India, Vara's pastor, Ajay Kuma Jeldi, said that Vara had told him by telephone that he had been pressured in prison to convert to Islam, but had refused. "If I have to die for my God, I will die for him here," Vara reportedly said. Read more

THE PEACE PRIZE PRESIDENT - From the day he announced he would run for president, the media has depicted Barack Obama as a genius and the proof was his being a Harvard graduate who understands all things. (Of course, George W. Bush who was also a Harvard graduate was depicted as an idiot.) Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize after serving just a few months in office. Since receiving this humanitarian designation, he has fostered revolts in the Middle East that have caused thousands of deaths and allowed the slaughter of Christians and other religious minorities in Muslim nations without as much as a token protest of these human rights abuses. The failure of the Nobel Committee to recall Obama's "peace prize" is proof that it is a political rather than humanitarian organization.  
DONALD TRUMP, THE LEFT/RIGHT, UP/DOWN CANDIDATE - Billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump this year gave a keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and has become the heartthrob of conservative media outlets by joining the "birther" movement. REALITY CHECK: Trump has no history as a conservative and has supported liberal Democrats and "moderate" or liberal Republicans in the past. He has given large sums of money to the campaigns of Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY); Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY); Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY); Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ); Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV); Sen. John Kerry (D-MA); former Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD); former Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE). Republicans he supported include turncoat Senator Arlen Specter and Governor Charlie Crist, who bailed out of the GOP rather than face Marco Rubio in a primary. Who is this guy?

THE CONGRESS
CONGRESSIONAL RESOLUTION ON KING JAMES BIBLE - In this year of the 400th anniversary of the publishing of the King James Bible, Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-AL) has introduced H. Con. Res. 38, which recognizes the contribution which the King James Version of the Bible has made to American law, language, history and culture. The Resolution notes that "the teachings of the Scriptures, particularly read from the King James Scriptures, have inspired concepts of civil government contained in our founding document, and subsequent laws." The Resolution also notes that the King James Bible is the most printed and widely distributed work in history. President Andrew Jackson called it "the rock upon which our republic rests." The Resolution ends with these words: "Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That Congress expresses its gratitude for the influence it (the KJV) has bestowed upon the United States." The Religious Freedom Coalition delivered a letter to Congressman Robert Aderholt, thanking him for introducing this Resolution.  
SENATOR REID DROPS "UNDER GOD" FROM PLEDGE - In the Pledge of Allegiance the words "under God" appear in this context: "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all". When quoting the Pledge on the Senate floor Reid states, "one nation indivisible" and leaves out "under God." This tendency to "forget" about God seems to be a systemic problem with this Administration. "In God We Trust" is the national motto, although President Obama has falsely stated in several speeches that the motto is "E Pluribus Unum". He also regularly leaves the phrase "endowed by our Creator" out of the Declaration of Independence when quoting it. See at Youtube
WERE BUDGET CUTS REAL? - Various Tea Party elements have attacked the $38 billion reduction in the 2011 budget agreement not only as too small but actually a phoney cut, saying it is money that would not have been spent anyway. REALITY: Congress does not spend money, contrary to what most people believe. Congress only AUTHORIZES the expenditure of money by the Administration. Over a period of ten years the $38 billion in cuts actually reduced AUTHORIZATION to the Administration of $315 billion or one third of a trillion dollars. Forty programs were cut or eliminated; for example the high speed rail program that has caused such controversy (because it was planned for areas where it is not needed). It is not just cut for 2011, it is gone. There are NO future authorizations for it. Read Speaker Boehner's explanation of the program cuts. 

RELIGION AND CULTURE 
NO SHARIA IN TEXAS? - Texas legislators are considering a ban on state courts using foreign religious or cultural laws. Sharia is not mentioned by name, but the intent is to stop the use of Islamic law. State Rep Berman, (R-Tyler) stated the goal "is to require a Texas court to uphold and apply only the laws ordained by the constitutions of (Texas and the United States), prohibiting any other interpretation." He stated, "We all know what Shariah law does to women - women must wear burqas, women are subject to humiliation and into controlled marriages under Shariah law. We want to prevent it from ever happening in Texas." Florida and other states are considering the ban as well after seeing the devastating effects of Sharia laws being enforced in the United Kingdom where Muslims, because of sharia, are allowed to have polygamous marriages.

NO 911 MOSQUE 

HILLARY CELEBRATES THE MOSQUE AND ISLAM - The first ever U.S.-Islamic World Forum, a large black tie gala at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium, was held in Washington, DC on April 12, 2011, with Hillary Clinton giving the welcoming address. Hillary told the audience how glad she was for the "chance to celebrate the diverse achievements of Muslims around the world." This is especially so since, as Hillary said, "Islam has always been a part of American history." Well, that is a new rewriting of history that came in with the Obama administration. It would have been hard to find a mosque in all of America in the country's early days, and our major interaction with Islamic nations was the thrashing of the Barbary pirates by U.S. Marines in their first foreign war. INTERNATIONAL 

EGYPT: THREE MORE CHURCHES DESTROYED - In the last two weeks three attacks on churches were undertaken by Salafis, or Islamic Fundamentalists, in Egypt. The Salafis demanded churches move to locations outside communities and be forbidden from making repairs, "even if they are so dilapidated that the roofs will collapse over the heads of the congregation," says Father Estephanos Shehata of Samalut Coptic Diocese.

The latest of these incidents took place in the village of Kamadeer, in Samalout, Minya province on April 5, which escalated to the point where it was feared the church would be torched and demolished, as was done in the case of St. George and St. Mina Church in the village of Soul, Atfif, on March 5th. CLEARED THEN MURDERED FOR BLASPHEMY - No, this is not a repeat of the story I wrote about in November, 2010. Mohamed Imran was wrongly accused of insulting Mohammed, a crime that is punished by death in Pakistan. Being proved innocent is normally as much of a death sentence as being found guilty. Every person ever found innocent and released has been murdered by Muslim vigilantes. Two gunmen burst into the shoe shop where Imran sat and shot him numerous times in front of his friends. Two high level politicians, Punjab governor Salman Taseer and minorities minister (and Christian) Shahbaz Bhatti, have been assassinated this year for criticism of Pakistan's blasphemy laws. The United States will give $3 billion dollars of our tax money to Pakistan this year. Good report on CNN
ANOTHER CHRISTIAN CHARGED WITH BLASPHEMY - On April 5th, 2011, 40-year-old Christian Arif Masih from Faisalabad, Pakistan was arrested and accused of ripping the pages of the Holy Quran and writing a threatening letter to the Muslims. The complaint was lodged on the testimony of Shahid Yousaf, a neighbor he was having a property dispute with. If he is found guilty he will be executed. If he is found innocent, Muslim vigilantes will track him down and kill him. Arif is being aided by the Masihi Foundation which helps those being persecuted by blasphemy laws. The Foundation is also trying to help Asia Bibi, the Christian woman imprisoned in Pakistan for drinking from a cup reserved for Muslims (a blasphemous act). Asia has been imprisoned for months and is seriously ill. Read more
