CURRENT PRESIDENTIAL PROCLAMATION - President Obama's proclamation this year is a history lesson stating: "The feast honored the Wampanoag for generously extending their knowledge of local game and agriculture to the Pilgrims, and today we renew our gratitude to all American Indians and Alaska Natives." Later in the proclamation he mentions that President George Washington changed the emphasis. See proclamation.

SPEAKER'S THANKSGIVING STATEMENT - Unlike President Obama's proclamation which claimed Thanksgiving began as a politically correct diversity event, that of Speaker Boehner reflects the true nature of Thanksgiving. Referring to a painting in the Capitol Rotunda he writes: "The painting shows the Pilgrim leaders in 1620 kneeling in prayer around a Geneva Bible, appealing to God for safe travel aboard their ship Speedwell before their passage from the Old World to a new life in America. THE PRESIDENCY
OBAMA: LAST SECULAR GOVERNMENT MUST FALL - Conservatives in Congress have fallen in behind President Barack Obama's drive to oust the last secular government in the Middle East and replace it with one controlled by Hezbollah, a terrorist organization. Most of the Christians who fled the government set up in Iraq by President George W. Bush now live in Syria. Christians in Syria fully support the secular government of President Assad because they have seen the plight of Christians in nations such as Iraq and Egypt as the American government continues to favor Islamist governments over those that are secular in nature. If Obama wins in Syria, Christians will be massacred; there is no place left for them in the Middle East and this Administration has made it clear they are not welcome here. 
OBAMA: MILITARY AID FOR ASIA - President Obama, currently in Asia, has pledged a military buildup in the Pacific with military aid to Australia as a start. This is nuts. Australia is second only to Germany in financial soundness and does not need a dime from us in any form at all. Indeed our nation will have to borrow the money from China to send our military to Australia. Oddly, conservatives will support this while ignoring the Islamist threat from Indonesia. On his Asia trip President Obama again attacked Americans saying they are "lazy." What would it be like to have a President who was proud of our nation and its people?

CONGRESS 

FORBES FILES EGYPT RESOLUTION - Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA) has filed a resolution, H.Res. 459, that would encourage any new government convened in Egypt to fully allow for the freedom of religion. Forbes and 22 other congressmen also sent a letter to President Obama urging him to denounce the violence used by the Egyptian military against Coptic Christians in October.

NO PRAYER AT WW2 MEMORIAL - The Obama Administration is opposed to the World War II Memorial Prayer Act (H.R. 2070), introduced by Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) The bill would add President Franklin D. Roosevelt's D-Day prayer to the National World War II Memorial. President Roosevelt delivered the prayer to the nation on June 6, 1944, the day that American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy. Rep. Johnson said, "It is unconscionable that the Obama Administration would stand in the way of honoring our nation's distinguished World War II veterans. President Roosevelt's prayer gave solace, comfort, and strength to our nation and our brave warriors as we fought against tyranny and oppression. These words should be included among the tributes to the Greatest Generation memorialized on the National Mall."

CULTURE BASED (SHARIA) JUSTICE - The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges wants the nation's judges to determine if there is "a culturally-based explanation" when deciding whether or not a child needs to be removed from the home because of abuse or neglect. The NCJFCJ wants judges to use the Council's "benchcard" as a legal tool and checklist on abuse and neglect cases. Under the benchcard's heading "LEGAL THRESHOLD FOR REMOVAL" is the inquiry: "Have the family's cultural background, customs and traditions been taken into account in evaluating the event and circumstances that led to the removal? Have the parent(s) cultural or tribal liaison/relevant other(s) been asked if there is a culturally-based explanation for the allegations in the petition?" In some jurisdictions, the terms of Sharia or Islamic law are already being offered as a defense for criminal abuse and forced marriages of minors. Read more CAIR ATTACKS MODERATE MUSLIMS - The Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) campaign of discrediting critics now includes attacking other Muslims who speak out against terrorism. Last week, CAIR called two Minneapolis activists "anti-Muslim" for their participation in a seminar which included a discussion about an Islamic terrorist group in Somalia. Both Omar Jamal and Abdirizak Bihi are Muslims. But CAIR's Minnesota chapter attacked them over their involvement with a seminar on Somali culture and their communities in America held Thursday in St. Paul. Read more
MARYLAND PUBLIC POOL FOR MUSLIMS ONLY? - Shehlla Khan, a Muslim in Howard County Maryland did not want people (read that as non-Muslims) watching her swim in the conservative, cover-all dress required by Islamic dress codes. The Columbia Association which controls the public pool immediately created a twice weekly, women only swim time. Will this satisfy the Muslim community? No, the goal is Sharia and Sharia says that non-Muslims may not look upon Muslim women. The policy of "Muslim only" public pools is a reality in London, UK and will be here soon.
SHARIA YES, CROSS NO - The Supreme Court declined to hear a case brought by the American Atheists challenging the constitutionality of crosses placed on Utah roadsides to honor fallen state troopers. The Utah Highway Patrol Association asked the Supreme Court to hear the case after the Tenth Circuit held that the crosses violated the Establishment Clause. With Utah's permission, a private nonprofit organization placed the cross memorials at sites where state troopers were killed in the line of duty. The Supreme Court's decision declining the case means that the Tenth Circuit's decision will stand. Justice Clarence Thomas dissented from the Court's denial of the case saying, "Today the Court rejects an opportunity to provide clarity to an Establishment Clause jurisprudence in shambles." He continued, "It is difficult to imagine an area of the law more in need of clarity."

STOPPING SHARIA - The Constitution or Sharia Conference in Nashville, Tennessee on November 11, 2011 was a great success, with far more participants than would have been possible at the original venue at the Hutton Hotel. Just two weeks prior to the conference, the Hutton Hotel refused to honor the contract it had signed with the Sharia Awareness Action Network. The Hutton Hotel had apparently determined that it would benefit financially from becoming Sharia compliant. Sharia law forbids any critical voice against Islam. Read more

SHARIA IN THE WEST - The Constitution or Sharia Conference was truly an international event. Barrister Paul Diamond from the United Kingdom spoke on the Islamization of London and his struggle in the courts to represent Christians whose rights have been taken from them. He presented the case of British Airlines which permits employees to wear Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and other religious clothing, but prohibits them from wearing any cross or other item identifying them as Christians. The courts actually upheld British Airlines' right to discriminate against Christians. Diamond has founded Christian Concern in the United Kingdom to assist Christians who are persecuted as the United Kingdom becomes more Muslim oriented. BACHMANN PREDICTS NUCLEAR WAR - Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann says developments in the Middle East are setting the stage for nuclear war against Israel. In a Republican debate Saturday, Bachmann warned that Iran's attempt to develop a nuclear weapon is part of a regional push against Israel. MORE CHRISTIANS DIE IN NIGERIA - They stormed this town in Yobe state, northern Nigeria like a swarm of bees, and at the end of their four-hour rampage, some 150 people had been killed - at least 130 of them Christians, according to church sources. Hundreds of people are still missing, and the destruction included the bombing of at least 10 church buildings. Read more

CHURCH OF NICEAN CREED NOW A MOSQUE - CatholicCulture.org reports that the historic church where the Council of Nicea was held, which has been a museum for nearly a century, has been converted to a mosque. In 1920 the new secular government of Turkey made the building a museum. Now the government's Directorate for Religious Affairs has returned the building to use as a mosque, overriding objections from Christians who pointed to its important religious and historic heritage.

SHARIA RISING 

FIREBOMBING FOR SHARIA - The offices of the satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo were firebombed attack after it portrayed Mohammed to be its "guest editor." The November 2 firebombing came at the same time the magazine's current issue titled "Sharia Hebdo" (a reference to Islamic law), and featuring a cartoon of Mohammed on its cover appeared on newsstands. There was no outrage on the part of the socialist left or multi-culturalists in France. They seem to agree that free speech does not allow blasphemy against Islam. 
TIME SAYS MAGAZINE CAUSED BOMBING -The Paris editor for Time Magazine writing about the bombing of Charlie Hebdo said, "Not only are such Islamophobic antics futile and childish, but they also openly beg for the very violent responses from extremists their authors claim to proudly defy." Bruce Crumley went on to say that it's "hard to have much sympathy for [Charlie Hebdo] after it published another stupid and totally unnecessary edition mocking Islam." Apparently Time Magazine holds the editorial position that Muslims have the right to blow up anyone they think has been blasphemous to Islam. Read more

MARINES MAY NOT URINATE TOWARD MECCA - American Marines in Islamic nations such as Afghanistan have been directly told not to spit or urinate toward Mecca because it is disrespectful to Islam. BACHMANN OPPOSES SHARIA LAW - Congresswoman and presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said Wednesday she was troubled that American judges would cite Sharia law in U.S. courtrooms and that the practice would "usurp" the U.S. Constitution. "It's very troubling to see some United States justices bring in sharia law," Bachmann said in a radio interview with WHO Radio in Iowa. "Sharia law certainly does not have a place in a United States courtroom, nor should it be followed by United States judges." Read more

LONDONISTAN MP ATTACKED - U.K. MP Mike Freer was holding a constituency surgery at the North Finchley mosque when a dozen Islamists from the "Muslims Against Crusades" group forced their way into the building. Freer, a homosexual man and a member of Conservative Friends of Israel, later said one of the activists called him a "Jewish homosexual pig." He was forced to abandon the meeting and to hide in a locked section of the facility. Perhaps Mayor Bloomberg of New York should think again about sitting on prayer rugs at mosques. Read more  
MORE CHRISTIANS MARTYRED - Armed Muslims attacked a church Thursday, killing at least two people, in the town of Zonkwa, in central Nigeria. Another 14 were injured in the attack. Then, today, three suicide bombers targeted the headquarters of the military and secret service in another Nigerian city, Maiduguri. The Islamist Boko Haram group was behind both attacks.
CHRISTIANS ATTACKED IN KHARTOUM - Emboldened by government calls for a Sudan based on Islamic law since the secession of South Sudan, Muslims long opposed to a church near Khartoum have attacked Christians trying to finish constructing their building, sources have told Compass Direct News. HUTTON HOTEL CANCELS CONFERENCE ON SHARIA- The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, TN has cancelled the Preserving Freedom Conference scheduled for 11/11/11. Amerimar Investments at first said they had received "threats," but later claimed that two of our speakers "incited" people to violence. Any criticism of Islam is forbidden under Sharia law. Not even non-Muslims may be critical of any aspect of Sharia. The Hutton Hotel can now be said to be Sharia compliant in this regard. Read more

LIBERTY COUNSEL JOINS FIGHT IN NASHVILLE- The founder and president of Liberty Counsel, Mat Staver, was one of the slated speakers at the Preserving Freedom Conference in Nashville. As chief counsel for Liberty Counsel, he has argued numerous cases before the Supreme Court. Staver has now issued a letter to the Hutton Hotel and its owners demanding that they honor their contract and allow the conference to continue. Read more

THIRD HOTEL MAY CANCEL? - A Hyatt Hotel in Sugarland, TX cancelled an anti-Sharia conference at which Pamela Geller was scheduled to speak just one week before Islamists convinced the Hutton Hotel in Nashville to tear up its legally binding contract with the Preserving Freedom Conference. Now a hotel in Maryland is being pushed to cancel an annual event held there by a conservative group because one of the scheduled conference panels deals with Sharia. Read more

SHARIA USE IN US COURTS - A Florida appeals court ruled that Judge Richard Nielsen could use Islamic law to decide a key issue in a lawsuit involving a local mosque. The judge had found earlier that the mosque had violated Sharia law by expelling trustees. The mosque supports the use of Sharia law except in this case when it lost. Read more

THE LEFT IGNORES HUMAN RIGHTS - The left's worst crime in the Middle East has been its support for the region's Arab-Muslim majority at the expense of minorities. Very rarely have they raised their voices in support of endangered minorities, and when they have done so, it was in muted tones completely different from their vigorous defenses of the nationalism of the Arab Muslim majority.

THE ARAB SPRING HAS SPRUNG - The first nation to "revolt" in the so-called Arab Spring was Tunisia and the first election results are in. An Islamist party has won over 40% of the vote and will form the new government. Before the "Arab Spring," Tunisia was the "model" secular nation in the Arab world. Just prior to the election the new leaders in Tunisia had announced that any new constitution would follow Sharia law. Read more

ISLAM AT ITS BEST - Muslim pirates kidnapped a very ill French woman and refused her medication, causing her death. Now the Muslims are holding her body for ransom. "The hostage-takers are even trying to sell the remains, it could not be more despicable," said French Defence Minister Gerard Longuet. "Seizing a woman of this age, who is sick and paralysed, and not giving her her medication, allowing her to develop septicaemia from which she apparently died, and then proposing to sell her remains! ARAB SPRING OR ARAB FALL - It was 1979 and President Jimmy Carter had just forced the Shah of Iran to flee into exile. The headlines read: "Shah out, democracy comes to Iran." In 1991 the Soviet backed Communist government of Afghanistan falls to the Islamic rebels supported by the United States. The headlines read: "Communists out, democracy comes to Afghanistan." Now in 2011 the Islamist rebels supported by the President Barack Obama kill Libyan dictator Qaddafi: The headlines read: Qaddafi dead: democracy comes to Libya. Enough said  
OBAMA DEFENDS UGANDA?- Uganda has a long history of terror and bloodshed. Muslim dictator Idi Amin was in control when Israeli special forces had to attack the Entebbe airport to release a plane load of hostages. Eventually the Muslim dictator was exiled to Libya. Now President Obama has sent troops to fight against the "Lord's Resistance Army." Make no mistake, the LRA does not represent mainstream Christian faith, but why is President Obama involving us in a second African war this year? Did he not say he was elected to bring troops home?
THE CONGRESS 
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITIES ATTACK ON RELIGIOUS GROUPS - Congressman Forbes appeared on Fox News this week to discuss Vanderbilt University's treatment of Christian student groups. Forbes is the Co-Chairman of the Prayer Caucus.The university demands that Christian groups allow atheist and Muslim leaders. Several religious student organizations have been placed on "provisional status" for requiring their student leaders to share the groups' religious beliefs. The Prayer Caucus sent a letter to Vanderbilt Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos urging him to ensure that school's nondiscrimination policy is not being interpreted in a manner that discriminates against religious student groups. Political and other student groups are allowed to select leaders who share the groups' views, religious student groups are being prohibited from doing so. Watch the interview here. 

RELIGION AND CULTURE 

CAIR DEMANDS MILITARY CHANGE UNIFORMS - it starts in high school, then where. The Counsel on American Islamic Relations sent a letter last week to the superintendent of Williamson County Schools demanding a formal apology be issued to Miss Zawity and that she be allowed to participate in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Program (JROTC) program wearing her hijab. She was banned from the program because she demanded to be the only student in uniform wearing a hijab. For CAIR and the rest of the Muslim Brotherhood, this is not about the JROTC or Zawity. It is the first attempt to change the uniforms of the United States military to conform with sharia law. Look at the photo: Was this girl serious about becoming an officer in the United States Army?

HYATT HOTEL CANCELS ANTI-SHARIA CONFERENCE - The Hyatt hotel in Sugar Land, Texas, abruptly canceled a Tea Party event the same day author and Atlas Shrugs founder Pamela Geller was scheduled to speak on the dangers of Sharia. The story has gone international much to the shame of Hyatt Hotels which is now seen as somewhat anti-Semitic. Pamela Geller is a Jew. Hyatt Hotels in Muslim nations are frequently used by radical Islamic groups attacking Israel. The Hyatt did not need to be pushed very hard by the Council on American Islamic Relations when it demanded that Geller be cancelled. Geller will next speak at the Preserving Freedom Conference in Nashville on 11/11/11.

THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE
EVICTING THE GZ MOSQUE - Power company, which owes half of the property for the propose "Ground Zero mosque" has given developer Sharif Al-Gamal ultimatum: Pay $1.7 million in back rent get out of the property. Park51, which leases the substation from Con Ed, wants the two buildings so it can knock both down and build a $100 million, 15-story community center, or maybe a four story "PrayerSpace" or maybe just use the whole plan to raise money from rich Arabs in Saudi Arabia. CRY FOR SWEDEN - The same nation that tried to put Pastor Aki Green in jail for reading a Scripture critical of homosexuality told an Imam that he had permission from the government to call for the death of anyone leaving Islam. The decision was made by prosecutors after the Imam made the statement on a Swedish Public radio broadcast. Read more

KIDS ABUSED IN U.K. MUSLIM SCHOOLS - Hundreds of children are being subjected to physical abuse in madrassas, an investigation claims. At least 250,000 Muslim youngsters attend the religious instruction centers, which are not formally regulated. More than 400 allegations of physical abuse have been made over the past three years, with the total reaching 146 last year and 89 in 2009. Read more

17-YEAR-OLD CHRISTIAN BEHEADED - Militants from an Islamic extremist organization in Somalia linked to al-Qaida beheaded a 17-year-old Christian near Mogadishu. Guled Jama Muktar was killed by al Shabbab militants in his home near Deynile, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the Somali capital. (Note, this is just one of the hundreds of Christians murdered by Muslims worldwide this year as part of Jihad.)
