Obama's FBI ignored warnings about Ft. Hood shooter - The FBI serves under Attorney General Eric Holder's Department of Justice. That explains why the FBI was too concerned about political correctness to launch an investigation of Major Hasan, who later killed 13 service members in the 2009 attack at Fort Hood. Despite reading e-mails that indicated Hasan was an extremist, the FBI feared questioning a Muslim member of the military. Read more
Evangelical college joins Catholics in lawsuit - "Wheaten College does not, as Catholics do, view all forms of artificial contraception as immoral. But the list of required services includes "morning after" and "week after" pills that claim the life of an unborn child within days of its conception." That was enough for Wheaten College to join a Catholic lawsuit on ObamaCare's intrusion on religious liberty. Read more

Congressman defends Chick-fil-A - The entire media establishment is attacking Dan Cathy for his on-the-record remark that Chick-fil-A is supportive of one man, one woman marriages. Congressman Joe Pitts (R-PA) stepped forward to defend the restaurant chain on Capitol Hill. Read his comments here.

Olympics: husband and wife can't share room - An Australian shooter, Russell Mark, said his wife Lauryn - a fellow competitor - has been told they must room separately during the Olympics. This is bizarre political correctness considering that same-sex couples who are not married don't seem to have the same problem. My bet: If they were Muslims the accommodation would be made.

Pray for Victory - I have just returned from an extended Middle Eastern trip. During that time I visited facilities we support in Israel as well as Jordan and other areas. As part of the mission trip I visited not only with Christian refugees, but with some Muslims who had been combatants in Syria against the secular government. I learned that the prayers of Islamists are very different from ours. Islamists pray for victory; we pray for safety. Read more

EXPOSING OBAMA'S WAR ON FAITH - Religious Freedom Coalition newspaper ads telling of the Obama Administration's threats to religious freedom begin running on May 13th. The first newspaper to accept the ad was the Panama City News Herald. This newspaper is in the Panhandle of Florida, in an area that has a large military presence. Many of those living in the area fought for religious freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan, only to see Christians persecuted by the predominantly Muslim governments there.

On May 16th the ads will appear in the Washington County News in Chipley, FL and the Holmes County Times Advertiser in Bonifay, FL. The ads' schedule will start to move south along the Florida Gulf Coast with areas around Tampa and Naples in the next few weeks. We will not advertise in the very liberal Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida newspapers. It is not our goal to anger liberals, but to encourage social conservatives to contact their congressmen and Senators to demand that Congress block President Barack Obama's continued attacks on religious liberty. OBAMA'S GAY AGENDA - Obama has moved back to the position he had on same-sex marriage in 1996. In a typed and signed statement, Obama said: "I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages." Then, when he ran for the Senate in 2004 he said marriage should be between a man and a woman. While running for president he said he was against same-sex marriage, but this week he declared he was for it. What changed his mind back to his 1996 position? Money. Several gay "super-pacs" informed Obama that unless he backed same-sex marriage they would spend no money on his reelection. A man of principle Obama is not.
GOVERNMENT RATHER THAN GOD - Just what Obama ordered: One in five Americans-the highest percentage in the nation's history-relies on the federal government for benefits, ranging from housing, health care, and food stamps to college tuition and retirement assistance. That's more than 67.3 million Americans who receive subsidies from Washington. The federal government spent more taxpayer dollars than ever before in 2011 to subsidize Americans. The average individual who relies on Washington could receive benefits valued at $32,748, which is more than the nation's average disposable personal income ($32,446). Read more

CONGRESS 

PROTECTING CHAPLAINS - Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) added an amendment to the FY2013 National Defense Authorization Act, which protects the rights of conscience of military chaplains. Akin, who is a member of the Prayer Caucus, announced that he will offer an amendment to the bill to provide specific conscience and religious freedom protections for military chaplains and other service members. Akin said, "Chaplains and service members should not face recrimination or persecution in the military for standing strong on their religious beliefs in opposition to homosexuality. A military chaplain is charged with meeting the religious needs of all of those under his or her care, but that chaplain must also remain true to their own faith." Rep. Akin's amendment draws from the Military Religious Freedom Protection Act (H.R. 3828) introduced by Rep. Tim Huelskamp, which would provide similar protections for service members. The bill was passed out of committee with Congressman Akin's amendment being approved. Read more
CAPITOL HILL PRAYER EVENT - A prayer event was held in U.S. Capitol this week. On Tuesday in the U.S. Capitol, a ceremony took place commemorating the 223rd anniversary of President George Washington's first inauguration. The event focused on America's Judeo-Christian heritage, specifically highlighting our first President's reputation as a man of prayer. Rep. Louie Gohmert noted, "Preachers of every Christian denomination preached Christian doctrine in this chamber - right here where we sit." Read more

CAIR ATTORNEY TRASHES USA IN EGYPT - Palestinian-American Lawyer Lamis Deek accuses the major corporations and the US Department of Defense of financing films vilifying Arab and Muslim communities. Deek is associated with CAIR, the same CAIR that helps pick Muslim chaplains for our military. KUWAIT: FINAL DETAILS ON DEATH FOR BLASPHEMY - Kuwait's parliament passed a bill authorizing the death penalty for Muslims who curse God, the Qu'ran and its prophets, including the wives of the Prophet Mohammed. Non-Muslims face a jail term of not less than 10 years; defendants who repent will be spared capital punishment in lieu of five years imprisonment and a fine of $36,000. Read more
REBELS WE SUPPORT KILL CIVILIANS - The so called rebels supported by President Obama and Senator John McCain exploded two car bombs in Damascus, Syria killing 55 innocent people and wounding hundreds more during morning rush hour. PRESIDENCY
BOKO HARAM AND THE TERROR LIST - The State Department maintains a list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The Boko Haram, which murders Christians almost daily, is not on that list. Despite major bombings of churches in Nigeria on Christmas and Easter the Obama Administration's State Department continues to claim that the Islamist Boko Haram is "not motivated by religion." This week I met with congressmen and Senators to request a letter of demand to Obama's Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, that the Boko Haram be added to the Foreign Terrorist Organizations list. I will keep you informed.
STATE DEPARTMENT BLOCKS EFFORTS TO CONDEMN BOKO HARAM - The House Subcommittee on Homeland Security has urged that Boko Haram be designated a terrorist group but Obama's State Department is doing everything possible to sabotage the effort. The lies are coming fast and thick. In the New York Times, Jean Herskovitz wrote an op-ed insisting that there was no Boko Haram, suggesting instead that random criminal gangs were really responsible for the mass murder of Christians. DEFENDING CROSS AT CAMP PENDLETON - Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA), founder and Co-Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, was on the Mike Huckabee radio show this week defending two memorial crosses at Camp Pendleton. The Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers (MAFF) is threatening to file a lawsuit if the crosses are not removed from the military base, where they sit atop a hill as a memorial to fallen service members. RELIGIOUS FREEDOM FOR CHAPLAINS - Military chaplains representing the majority of denominations face career penalties for expressing sincerely held religious or moral beliefs on same-sex marriage. There are no conscience or religious freedom protections for chaplains and the Obama Administration supports open homosexuality in the military. Support is needed for the Military Religious Freedom Protection Act. A vote on the bill may come on April 29th. Please contact your congressman today.

RELIGION AND CULTURE
MUSLIMS SHOULD NOT BE COPS IN USA - The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) cautioned American Muslims in a 22-page Arabic-language paper in 2008 against working in law enforcement in countries which do not rule by Allah's dictates. One of their main concerns was that such work might cause Muslims to gain love and respect for secular laws. It is not often I agree with a Muslim group, but I also do not think Muslims should be in law enforcement. Read more
AIR FORCE: NO BIBLES NEEDED - After receiving a complaint by the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers (MAAF), the Air Force removed "Is a Bible provided?" from the checklist that staff at Air Force Inns use when ensuring that rooms comply with lodging standards. Air Force Inns are temporary lodging facilities found at most major Air Force installations.

UK "LORD" OFFERS $16 MILLION BOUNTY ON OBAMA AND BUSH - The first Muslim member of the House of Lords has been suspended from his post by the Labour Party after he offered a bounty of $16 million for the capture of Presidents Bush and Obama. He offered the bounty to show his solidarity with a Pakistani terrorist who planned the murderous attack on Bombay Hotels; the terrorist, Hafiz Saeed, is being sought by United States forces. This is the same "Lord" Ahmed who killed a man when he drove his car into him while texting in 2009. He served 12 weeks in jail but the Labour Party stood with the Muslim. Read more
BOKO HARAM KILLS MORE - Gunmen from the Islamist Boko Haram killed at least seven people on Thursday and Friday in attacks in northern Nigeria. The media reports the victims as "civilians," but the attacks were against Christian businesses including a water vendor and a bakery. Meanwhile the Boko Haram issued a statement that they would kill Nigeria's' Christian president within three months, and the U.S. government warned of a large scale attack in the Nigerian capital.

PRESIDENCY 
OBAMA MOVES AGAINST FOX NEWS - Do CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and CNBC pay for news stories? Of course. Do they pay officials in other nations for news leaks? Of course they do. But the U.S. Justice Department is preparing subpoenas as part of preliminary investigations into News Corp, relating to alleged foreign bribery in the U.K. over a phone hacking scandal at one of the company's newspapers. The Obama Administration has ordered the DOJ to go after News Corp in hopes they can shut up Fox News, but Obama may have a problem: It is my understanding that Fox News is currently amassing information on bribes paid overseas for news by the other major networks. 
OBAMA FINALLY TELLS THE TRUTH - When Obama ran for president in 2008 everyone knew he was lying when he claimed to support traditional marriage. Just as if we were living in the society ruled by Big Brother in the Orwellian novel 1984, we are now told by an Obama spokesman that Obama has always been against the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and now supports legislation to end it. Ending DOMA would of course end the right of states to refuse to recognize same-sex marriages.
GAY LOVE IN THE TRENCHES - Under President Obama's direction, the new Pentagon chief Leon Panetta has decided to end the ban on homosexuals serving openly in the military. He certified that repealing the gay prohibition will not hurt the military's ability to fight. With that certification from Panetta, President Obama officially lifted the ban today.

THE CONGRESS 

FORCE OTHER NATIONS TO BE GAY FRIENDLY - Enslaving women is OK with Democrats; just don't mistreat gays. In a late night session at a marathon committee markup of H.R. 2583, the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Democrat Ranking Member, Howard Berman, offered an amendment that would have given the Secretary of State a directive to promote the LGBT agenda internationally. Although the amendment was defeated along party lines by Republicans, one question comes to mind: Why was their no reference to the rights of women or religious minorities in the amendment, only to gay rights? Answer: Although homosexuals are a very small minority, they give huge amounts of money to Democrat congressmen.

INTERNATIONAL 

OSLO, NORWAY ATTACKED - The attack on government buildings in Oslo, Norway today highlighted the fear sweeping Europe as a result of the failed policy of massive immigration to foster "multiculturalism." Not only was a car bomb used to attack buildings, including the Prime Minister's office, but a youth camp was attacked by a gunman dressed as a policeman. As of this writing at least seven are dead and many more injured.

ISLAMIC EMIRATES OF BRITAIN? - Muslims now want to turn twelve British cities, one called "Londonistan," into independent autonomous enclaves ruled by Islamic Sharia law. Called the Islamic Emirates Project, it uses the motto "The end of man-made law, and the start of Sharia law." The U.K. is now 5% Muslim and the radicalism of Islam there has changed the face of that nation and has most of the population in a constant state of fear. A stunning article by Soeren Kern in Hudson New York exposes the U.K situation which is on its way to the USA.

NOT JUST THE MIDDLE EAST - In Xingjian, China, Muslim separatists chanting 'Allah is the only god," attacked a police station last week, hacking two officers to death. They then murdered a woman and a teenage girl in the name of Allah. Many more people were injured, and the Chinese military was called in to restore order. In the last two weeks Islamic terrorists have killed 12 and injured numerous others in Thailand. Most of those murdered were Buddhists.
ANOTHER CHRISTIAN DIES IN PAKISTAN JAIL - A man accused of blasphemy and said to be mentally challenged, died in Lahore Camp Jail after what police said was a brief ailment. Shaukat Ali, 35, was imprisoned in 2007 under blasphemy charges. Read more

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT FOR JUNE 29th, 2011 - William J Murray reports on President Obama, Congress and terrorism. This issue includes Obama's drive to make us more dependent on energy from despotic nations and his release of oil from the Strategic Reserve. The genocide of Christians in the Sudan which Obama is also ignoring while assisting Muslims in Egypt is questioned. At the Capitol Peter King's hearings on radical Islam in our prisons and the Child Interstate Abortion Notification bill are investigated. On the international front the continued slaughter of Christians in Nigeria by the Boko Haram is discussed. Also covered is the continued push for sharia law in Egypt by elements of the Muslim Brotherhood.

PRESIDENCY 

AS STIMULUS FADES UNEMPLOYMENT RISES - Both the markets and the White House were "stunned" today when unemployment rose to 9.2% and the economy created only 16,000 jobs in June. To put the number of new jobs in perspective, it takes 125,000 new jobs a month just to cover population growth. Liberal Democrats will scream for even more government spending, but that is always just a short term solution. Real job growth comes through private investment which the Obama Administration is discouraging through regulation and the threat of new taxes on business. OBAMA WANTS ARAB RATHER THAN CANADIAN OIL - Only Saudi Arabia has more recoverable oil reserves than Alberta, Canada. Unfortunately for Americans, the Obama Administration does not want oil from Alberta because it comes primarily from oil sands and Obama's "green" supporters don't like that fact. Currently Obama's EPA is blocking the construction of a pipeline to the USA from Alberta that would bring investments of over $9 billion and create 100,000 jobs. Simply put, out of liberal ideology, Obama would rather have American dollars flow to Arab nations that fund extremist Islam than to Canada.

OBAMA, GEORGE SOROS AND THE LIBYAN "REBELS" - The foreign affairs adviser for a top U.S. lobby firm hired to represent the rebels of Libya served a few months ago as President Obama's special representative to Egypt, where he reportedly held a clandestine meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood. In addition, a public relations firm working on behalf of the rebels recently arranged a meeting for Libya's opposition with a progressive group funded by billionaire George Soros that is known for its close relationship with the White House. CONGRESSMAN SAYS LIBERALISM SPRINGS FROM HATRED FOR GOD - Missouri Congressman Todd Akin (R) refused to retract his statement that liberals have a "hatred for God." Akin said of NBC editing out the words "under God" from the Pledge, "Well, I think NBC has a long record of being very liberal and at the heart of liberalism really is a hatred for God and a belief that government should replace God. And so they've had a long history of not being at all favorable toward many of things that have been such a blessing to our country. These powerful words have liberals enraged." According to Akin, "This is a systematic effort to try to separate our faith and God, which is a source in our belief in individual liberties, from our country. And when you do that you tear the heart out of our country." Read more

DON'T FUND SAME-SEX MARRIAGE IN MILITARY - Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) has offered an amendment to H.R. 2219, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2012, which would prohibit the implementation of the Navy's new guidance on same sex marriage for its chaplains. This comes after the Navy recently issued guidance to their chaplains to officiate at same-sex marriages on military bases. This was a contradiction to the Defense of Marriage Act, and so, Members of Congress sent a letter urging the rescindment of this new policy. The Navy decided to halt the policy until further notice, but it is safe to assume that they may reinstate the policy at some point in the future. GAYS FOR JON HUNTSMAN - I was just a little stunned when someone sent me a link to a story in Q Salt Lake. The Q stands for queer and it is a gay newspaper in Salt Lake City which has semi-endorsed Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman. Rather than editorialize I will quote directly from the gay site, "While there are no official endorsements from any caucuses or groups within the Republican Party yet, the Utah Log Cabin Republicans worked with Huntsman when he was governor, and are ready and willing to work continue that relationship," Melvin Nimer, the president of the ULCR, said. "Huntsman was the first governor of Utah to open up the governor's mansion to the LGBT community," Nimer said. "They [the Huntsman campaign team] have reached out to get some help from us and some people within the group are working with him." Having read this glowing endorsement of Huntsman in the official "queer" site, I think I will personally reach out to a different candidate.

ISLAMISTS DEMAND TAKEOVER OF THREE UK CITIES - Islamic extremists have called on British Muslims to establish three independent states within the UK. The notorious Muslims Against the Crusades (MAC) group have named Yorkshire towns Bradford and Dewsbury, as well as Tower Hamlets in East London, as testbeds for blanket sharia rule. Moreover, if you go to the links of these anecdotes, you will find that in every single case the Pakistani police either did nothing to apprehend the culprits or, more often, actually helped them while turning against the victims. IMAM SAYS: "THE WORLD BELONGS TO US" - The United States has officially recognized the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and looks forward to "working with" it. Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian Shaykh Safwat Hegazy in a recent video threatened Jews and Christians, and ultimately the whole world, saying, "Jerusalem belongs to us, and the whole world belongs to us." He states the Islamic caliphate will return, and that "every land upon which Islam has set foot will return to us." He makes pointed references to Qurayza and Khaybar, which are clear threats against the Jews, and also states, "we will kill anyone who has polluted the al-Aqsa Mosque." RELEASE ASIA BIBI NOW - Pakistani Christians are demanding the release of Asia Bibi, mother of five, who has been falsely accused of blasphemy and jailed for nearly two years. Blasphemy laws in Pakistan are used to blackmail Christians and steal their homes and land. This is just one more outrage. More at Pakistan Christian Post
