Why the Palin attacks continue / US Treasury loves Sharia law / Obama and cross dressing / GM bail out / Eric Cantor tells the truth about the GOP / Atheist "Christmas" ads" / More murders of Christians in Mosul

NEW CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - The all new November 12, 2008 Chairman's Report is now available to read in PDF format. Read about the good news from the election and how social conservatives may fair the next four years. Persecution of Christians continues in Mosul, Iraq Click here to view new issue.

THE PRESIDENCY
WHY THE PALIN ATTACKS CONTINUE -The media just can't stop beating up on Sarah Palin because they see her as dangerous. She is a woman who believes that an unborn baby is a human being, and that is contrary to the core beliefs of those on the left who control the media. But why did those in the McCain campaign attack Sarah Palin. Read my current Op-ed.

SHARIA LAW TAUGHT BY OUR GOVERNMENT - The Treasury Department is part of the Bush Administration. It was therefore a dangerous precedent for the Treasury to hold a seminar to explain to US businesses how to adhere to Sharia law. They may not realize that you cannot pick and choose which parts of Sharia you want to follow. If our government approves the financial aspects of Sharia, we are on our way to agreeing with Sharia law that also allows plural marriages, slavery, and mandated inequality under the law for women and for non Muslims. Read more on "Sharia finance."

OBAMA AND CROSS DRESSING - The Obama transition team issued a statement that it will not discriminate in hiring based on "sexual orientation or gender identity." For instance, because of their "gender identity" (or confusion thereof), some men may or may not dress as women and frequently demand to be able to use either a men's or women's restroom. Under the Obama Administration policy, men who have a "gender identity" as a woman would use the women's restroom in Federal buildings. Read more.

THE CONGRESS
GM BAIL-OUT --At the request of labor unions, the Democrats in Congress headed by Nancy Pelosi want to loan GM and other automakers $25 billion. Oddly Republicans don't want to bail-out the "bad executives." What a reversal! What happens if GM goes bankrupt? To start with the government will have to take over all pension payments of the 750,000 current and former employees. Then there is the $32.5 billion that GM currently owes to banks and other financial institutions that the Federal government is currently bailing out. Total bill to taxpayers if GM reorganizes in bankruptcy dumping its pension and other obligations on federal agencies .... about $200 billion. I hate to disagree with my GOP friends, but it sounds like the "bail-out" loan of $25 billion may be the cheaper route.

CANTOR TELLS THE TRUTH - Congressman Eric Cantor, who will soon be number two in the leadership of House Republicans, has cut through the fog and said publicly what is wrong with the GOP. He told the Washington Times, "Where we have really fallen down is, we have lacked the ability to be relevant to people's lives. Let's set aside the last eight years, and our falling down in living up to expectations of what we said we were going to do." He went on to say, "It's the roads, it's going to the gas station, that's still there when the price will bump back up. It's education, it's health care. These are the issues, frankly, that we have not been on offense with" At last someone in the GOP that wants to talk about today rather than rest on the laurels of Ronald Reagan's accomplishments. HOMOSEXUAL LAWSUITS AND VIOLENCE - Three more states passed Constitutional Amendments to bar homosexual marriage and the result, as expected, has been homosexual violence and lawsuits. The ACLU is at the forefront of the lawsuits, once again trying to overturn the will of the people and traditional marriage in the Courts. On the streets homosexuals are assaulting elderly women and couples with children in an apparent attempt to prove their "normality". Envelopes of white powder have been sent to Catholic and Mormon churches, and at least one church was invaded during services. Meanwhile, California leaders fail to react to homosexual violence. Read more.

ATHEIST CHRISTMAS AD CAMPAIGN - Ads proclaiming, "Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness' sake," will appear on the outside and inside of DC Metro buses as part of an advertising campaign during Christmas by the American Humanist Association. The atheist group believes mankind is inherently good and does not need a God to direct morality. The group never mentions some of the better knows atheists of the 20th Century, such as mass murderers Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Tse-tung. During the 20th Century, atheist dictators murdered more of their own citizens than the number of people killed in all the wars in all the prior history of mankind. Read more about atheist campaign.

MORE MURDERS IN MOSUL -Two sisters were murdered in front of their home, and their mother was seriously wounded, in new attacks on Christians in Mosul, Iraq. Christians say the Muslim Kurds and the Muslim Arabs are using them as pawns in a political game with the Untied States as they die. Read more.

Week Ending November 7, 2008 - Washington, DC

K Street attacks Palin / Obama's Absolute Enforcer / The GOP shakeup / Success in Gay Marriage Bans! / Traditional families win in three states / Christians not returning to Mosul

NEW CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - The all new October 22, 2008 Chairman's Report is now available to read in PDF format. How social conservatives might fare under an Obama presidency. News on social conservatives running for Congress. Also: Continued persecution of Christians in Iraq Click here to view new issue.

THE PRESIDENCY
K STREET ATTACKS PALIN -Before the landing gear was down for the last landing of the McCain campaign aircraft in Arizona, the campaign manager, Rick Davis, was bashing Gov. Sarah Palin. According to him and the other K Street high dollar employees of the McCain campaign, the loss was all her fault. What can we expect? These guys will work for anyone if the price is right; they are just hired guns. Right now they have to place the blame for a poorly run campaign on others, as they look for their next sugar daddy.

OBAMA'S ABSOLUTE ENFORCER - President elect Barack Hussein Obama has made his first major decision and managed to anger people here and abroad. He picked Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff, an often-profane, combative Chicago congressman who worked in the Clinton Administration. Emanuel is a multi-millionaire, having made his money in investment banking, the kind of banking that has nearly bankrupted our financial system. He is also Jewish, which has led to immediate criticism from the Muslim world. Just 24 hours before, Muslims had been proclaiming Obama "President of the World." Meanwhile Republicans say that his choice shows Obama has no intention of being bipartisan. Read more on Emanuel.

THE CONGRESS
PELOSI'S PRO-DEATH BILL --Barack Obama has told Planned Parenthood that he would sign into law the Freedom of Choice Act, a bill that pro-lifers call the most radical piece of pro-abortion legislation ever. The bill, supported by San Francisco radical Nancy Pelosi, will eliminate all pro-life legislation passed over the last twenty years including the Partial Birth Abortion Ban. Under the Freedom of Choice Act, the government will directly fund abortion providers in the United States and overseas. Even state parental notification laws will be voided. Read more from the Baptist Press.

GOP SHAKE UP - The day Newt Gingrich was ousted as House Speaker by the Republican establishment and replaced with Dennis (the destroyer) Hastert, it was all downhill for the Republicans in Congress. Rather than being revolutionary, the party quickly moved to the profane and corrupt ways of the Nixon Administration. Finally there is a shake up, but some of the good guys are being tossed out and some of the bad ones are staying. It is sort of a non-shake-up. Roy Blunt, an evangelical Christian believer and social conservative, has lost his job as Whip, but Minority Leader John (The Haircut) Boehner will stay on. Boehner is a manager and not a leader. The good news is that Mike Pence will move up as Conference Chairman. He was a long time head of the Republican Study Committee which is the caucus of true conservatives within the Republican House members. Our friend Eric Cantor may move into the Whip slot. The shake up is a mixed bag and not thorough enough. Read more

CULTURE AND RELIGION
THE TRADITIONAL FAMILY WINS BIG - In California, African-American voters came to the polls to vote for Barack Obama, but they also pulled the lever for Proposition 8 which banned same sex marriage. More than 70% of African-Americans voted for Proposition 8. Without the black Obama voters, court-ordered same sex marriage would have continued in California. Only 47% of white voters supported the ban on same sex marriage. Oddly, President-elect Barack Obama opposed Proposition 8 and favors same sex marriage. After reading the poll numbers it will be curious to see if Barack Obama continues his support of same sex marriage when he arrives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in January. Because this was a Constitutional amendment it will be difficult for the radical left Supreme Court of California to once again order same-sex marriage.

This was just one of three major victories against same sex marriage on election day. Same sex Constitutional Amendments also were passed in Arizona and Florida by even wider margins. And again, it was African-American voters in Florida that led to the wide margin of the victory. Barack Obama carried Florida as he did California. John McCain carried Arizona. In Louisiana a ban against same sex couples adopting children was also passed. Read more

CHRISTIANS NOT RETURNING TO MOSUL - Few Iraqi Christians are returning to Mosul despite a government pledge of financial support and protection. The Iraqi prime minister has authorized a payment of 1 million Iraqi dinars - about $865 - to every Christian family that returns to Mosul. Only a handful of the 10,000 Christians who have left have returned.

The Western media, particularly the liberal American press, has reported that Iraqi police have "blanketed" Mosul to protect the Christians from continued attacks by Muslims. Our contacts in Iraq tell us that if any police were sent to Mosul they are staying in their barracks. After weeks of murders, car bombings and houses set on fire, Christians just do not believe that Muslim police officers sent from Baghdad will protect them. Read more

Week Ending October 17, 2008 - Washington, DC

The White House responds to slaughter of Christians in Mosul - sort of / Pray for European socialism / Sex and Florida's 16th congressional district - Is it something in the water? / Col West marches on Florida's 22nd / Out with pneumonia

NEW CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - The all new October 1, 2008 Chairman's Report is now available to read in PDF format. This issue contains information about the financial crisis facing our nation from an inside-the-Beltway perspective. This unique report may assist you in your financial planning. THE PRESIDENCY
WHITE HOUSE AND IRAQI CHRISTIANS -I am sure President Bush cares about his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who are being murdered, raped and pillaged of their property in Mosul, Iraq. Unfortunately he cannot offend the Muslim despots from which the United States borrows hundreds of billions of dollars each year. Assisting the Christians would offend our Muslim overlords, and so the Middle East Christians must suffer.

Even the Fox News media reports which make the situation sound horrid are actually white washed. I have contacts on the ground in Iraq and it is far worse. (See International.)

I have been in touch with the White House almost daily about the situation. Answer: "The Iraqi government is integrating Christians into the police force." Yes, I knew that. Then they are sent to Muslim areas where they are killed. Christians need a Christian police force and anything less will not work, and the violence in Mosul proves this point.

OBAMA PULLS AHEAD - The situation looks so bad that European style socialism looks good in comparison. The European version, which the GOP has been warning about for decades, would actually be preferable to what we may have in store. The trio of Obama, Pelosi and Reid don't' want European socialism because the European economic system is actually "managed capitalism." Obama, Pelosi and Reid want to increase government revenue, (meaning higher taxes) to fund their radical social agendas. Example: Under European socialism, families choose the schools their children go to and the government pays the tab in the form of a voucher. NOT HERE: Obama and company want the system of forced geographic education where the children can be better controlled by the NEA.

THE CONGRESS
HOW ABOUT THAT FLORIDA 16TH? - Is there something in the water down there? The sex scandal in Florida's 16th district was the last straw for Christian voters in 2006. They stayed away from the polls as Republican scandals just kept piling up. Then, it was a gay Republican with a young boy problem; now it is a Democrat with a middle aged woman problem. Now the Democrat leaning Palm Beach Post has removed its endorsement from Congressman Tim Mahoney and told folks to vote Republican. The FBI may be involved because of a pay-off to Mahoney's mistress.

COL. ALLEN WEST - Just south of Florida's 16th lies another first term Democrat controlled district that may go Republican. Col. Allen West could very well be the next J.C. Watts. If elected, the solid social conservative would be the only African-American Republican in the House. The Mahoney scandal is spilling over into the 22nd district and West may be able to take advantage of it. If we wins he will be a valuable ally to social conservatives in Washington.

STILL GONE - The Congress is back in their districts trying to get votes and raise money. There will be no official session of the Congress until after the election in November.

CULTURE AND RELIGION
A MISSION TOO FAR? Over the many decades that I have gone on fact finding and mission trips I have never become ill, despite eating strange foods and sometimes sleeping on the ground. That changed this past month when I contracted a very powerful strain of pneumonia that has just about left me unable to work at all for more than a week. I apologize for the shorter and missing updates, but my health has not allowed me to be more complete.

CURRENT IRAQI GOVERNMENT LIES JUST LIKE SADDAM - Prime Minister Maliki told the White House he was sending more police to Mosul to protect the Christian population. Our contacts on the ground report that if indeed they were sent from Baghdad they are hiding in their barracks. It is now being reported that Maliki was actually sending a "high level delegation" to determine who is doing the bombings. Is this a joke? Is they anyone in the world who doubts that the bombings are being plotted in the offices of Mullahs at the local Mosques? The current government in Iraq is no more trustworthy than that of dictator Saddam Hussein .... Opps, there is one difference; Under the former dictator Christians could live in peace in Iraq.

Week Ending February 29, 2008 - Washington, DC

Is oil up or is the dollar down? / Protect America Act still stuck in House - Security of our nation at risk / Global Aids bill (PEPFAR) deal reached / Pelosi says no to protecting America / Victories in the Senate: Indian Health bill goes pro-life / Ultrasound becomes a federal issue / One in four Americans changed their faith / Professor to be jailed and whipped for having coffee with student

TWO NEW CHAIRMAN'S REPORTS AVAILABLE - The January 25, 2008 and February 13, 2008 issues of the Religious Freedom Coalition Chairman's Report is now available online. These new issues contain information on Pledge petition deliveries to the Senate and details of the Democrat party drive to turn the Global AIDS fund into a honey pot for abortion groups. Includes more stories about "freedom" in Saudi Arabia. Both new reports are in PDF format.

THE PRESIDENT
PROTECT AMERICA - This morning I participated in a White House conference call on the Protect America Act which Speaker Nancy Pelosi has allowed to expire. White House spokesman are making it very clear to anyone who will listen that our national security is at risk. There are now reports separate from the White House that indicate our intelligence services cannot obtain information on possible terrorist activity because of the refusal of the House to extend this bill. See the House section for more details.

OIL IS NOT UP, THE DOLLAR IS DOWN - In January of 2001 as George W. Bush was being sworn in the US dollar was worth more than a Euro. A Euro could be bought for just 93 cents. As of today it takes $1.47 to buy one Euro. The price of a oil in Europe has been virtually unchanged for the last 12 months at about 65 Euros a barrel. If the value of the dollar were the same as it was in January, 2001 oil would cost less than $60 a barrel and gasoline would be under $2.00 a gallon. The Bush Administration, Wall Street and the Federal Reserve have deliberately allowed the dollar to fall to "help exports." Someone needs to explain to me how $3.00 plus a gallon gas helps drive exports.

THE HOUSE
GLOBAL AIDS BILL STAYS PRO-LIFE - With the death of committee chairman Tom Lantos the controversy of the Global AIDS Bill (known as PEPFAR) has ended. Democrat and Republican leaders have written a compromise bill that restored pro-life previsions that were so acceptable a voice vote was used to approve it in the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The Lantos version would have eliminated all pro-life language and made the bill a honey pot for abortion groups. Click here for summary of compromise bill. NOTE: PEPFAR is great as is, however, there is no guarantee that radical speaker Nancy Pelosi will not try to turn it back into a fund to abort little black babies in Africa.

PROTECT AMERICA? PELOSI SAYS NO - Despite intense pressure from the White House and the bipartisan passage by an overwhelming majority in the Senate radical Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi refuses to allow a vote on the Protect America Act. This is not about policy, it is about cash. Trial lawyers give huge amounts of money to democrat congressmen. The Protect America Act prohibits trial lawyers from suing telephone companies that give data on terrorists to our government. Pelosi wants the trial lawyers to be able to sue the phone companies on behalf of those suspected of terror ties.

THE SENATE
INDIAN HEALTH ACT VICTORY - This week the U.S. Senate passed Senator David Vitter's amendment to S.1200, the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, prohibiting the use of federal Indian Health Service (IHS) funds for abortions, except to save the life of the mother, or in cases of rape or incest of a minor. On winning Senator Vitter said, "This is truly an important victory for the pro-life movement and for the unborn. We now need to work to make sure that this provision remains in the final bill as it continues to House-Senate legislative conference."

PRO-HEALTH OR PRO-ABORTION? - The Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Act (S-1042) which is sponsored by Senator Ted Kennedy and Republican leader McConnell may actually help abortion clinics get more clients. The bill would add numerous restrictions on the use of ultrasound that could force crisis pregnancy clinics to stop the service. The use of ultrasound machines to show women their unborn babies saves countless lives each year. Our office is working for clarification on various aspects of this "bipartisan" bill and will keep you informed.

RELIGION AND CULTURE
ONE IN FOUR AMERICANS CHANGED THEIR FAITH?- About one in four Americans have left the faith in which they were raised in favor of another religion. If changes from one Protestant denomination to another are included in the figures then almost one out of two have changed their faith or denomination. While atheists represent only a few percent, the number of non-churched is staggering. The PEW survey found that those unaffiliated with a particular faith is over 16% and in the ages 18-29, that number jumps to about 25%. Click here for full survey details.

INTERNATIONAL
ISRAEL TO INVADE GAZA - New Iranian rockets smuggled into the Gaza Strip are raining down even deeper into Israel killing and maiming Israeli women and children. The response of the Western media is to show photos of a dead Palestinian child they claim was killed by Israel return fire. After nearly two years and thousands of rocket attacks Israel may finally have had enough. An invasion of the Gaza Strip that would include the arrest of HAMAS leaders and a "change in regime" could come within the next week. Click here for more.

SAUDI PROFESSOR TO BE WHIPPED - A university professor in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 180 lashes and eight months in jail for having coffee with a female student. His lawyer says the well-respected Saudi teacher of psychology at Umm al-Qra University in Mecca, was framed by the religious police. Dr Abu Ruzaiz, a married man in his late 50s did not know the student would be alone when he arrived at the coffee shop, he said. Earlier this month I reported on a 37-year-old American businesswoman who was thrown in jail for sitting with a male colleague at a Starbucks coffee shop. When we allow Sharia law in the United States the same arrests will occur here. Click here for UK story.

DEATH FOR INTERNET ARTICLE PART V - We are headed to month three since an Afghan student, Sayed Parwiz Kambakhsh, was sentenced to death for copying a paper from the Internet that the courts there deemed "blasphemous" to Islam. Advocates of religious freedom should contact their congressman and ask them for information on what is being done to save this man's life.
