THE PRESIDENCY
WHY THE PALIN ATTACKS CONTINUE -The media just can't stop beating up on Sarah Palin because they see her as dangerous. She is a woman who believes that an unborn baby is a human being, and that is contrary to the core beliefs of those on the left who control the media. But why did those in the McCain campaign attack Sarah Palin. Read my current Op-ed.

SHARIA LAW TAUGHT BY OUR GOVERNMENT - The Treasury Department is part of the Bush Administration. It was therefore a dangerous precedent for the Treasury to hold a seminar to explain to US businesses how to adhere to Sharia law. They may not realize that you cannot pick and choose which parts of Sharia you want to follow. If our government approves the financial aspects of Sharia, we are on our way to agreeing with Sharia law that also allows plural marriages, slavery, and mandated inequality under the law for women and for non Muslims. Read more on "Sharia finance."

OBAMA AND CROSS DRESSING - The Obama transition team issued a statement that it will not discriminate in hiring based on "sexual orientation or gender identity." For instance, because of their "gender identity" (or confusion thereof), some men may or may not dress as women and frequently demand to be able to use either a men's or women's restroom. Under the Obama Administration policy, men who have a "gender identity" as a woman would use the women's restroom in Federal buildings. Read more.

THE CONGRESS
GM BAIL-OUT --At the request of labor unions, the Democrats in Congress headed by Nancy Pelosi want to loan GM and other automakers $25 billion. Oddly Republicans don't want to bail-out the "bad executives." What a reversal! What happens if GM goes bankrupt? To start with the government will have to take over all pension payments of the 750,000 current and former employees. Then there is the $32.5 billion that GM currently owes to banks and other financial institutions that the Federal government is currently bailing out. Total bill to taxpayers if GM reorganizes in bankruptcy dumping its pension and other obligations on federal agencies .... about $200 billion. I hate to disagree with my GOP friends, but it sounds like the "bail-out" loan of $25 billion may be the cheaper route.

CANTOR TELLS THE TRUTH - Congressman Eric Cantor, who will soon be number two in the leadership of House Republicans, has cut through the fog and said publicly what is wrong with the GOP. He told the Washington Times, "Where we have really fallen down is, we have lacked the ability to be relevant to people's lives. Let's set aside the last eight years, and our falling down in living up to expectations of what we said we were going to do." He went on to say, "It's the roads, it's going to the gas station, that's still there when the price will bump back up. It's education, it's health care. These are the issues, frankly, that we have not been on offense with" At last someone in the GOP that wants to talk about today rather than rest on the laurels of Ronald Reagan's accomplishments. CULTURE AND RELIGION
HOMOSEXUAL LAWSUITS AND VIOLENCE - Three more states passed Constitutional Amendments to bar homosexual marriage and the result, as expected, has been homosexual violence and lawsuits. The ACLU is at the forefront of the lawsuits, once again trying to overturn the will of the people and traditional marriage in the Courts. On the streets homosexuals are assaulting elderly women and couples with children in an apparent attempt to prove their "normality". Envelopes of white powder have been sent to Catholic and Mormon churches, and at least one church was invaded during services. Meanwhile, California leaders fail to react to homosexual violence. ATHEIST CHRISTMAS AD CAMPAIGN - Ads proclaiming, "Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness' sake," will appear on the outside and inside of DC Metro buses as part of an advertising campaign during Christmas by the American Humanist Association. The atheist group believes mankind is inherently good and does not need a God to direct morality. The group never mentions some of the better knows atheists of the 20th Century, such as mass murderers Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Tse-tung. During the 20th Century, atheist dictators murdered more of their own citizens than the number of people killed in all the wars in all the prior history of mankind. Read more about atheist campaign.
