THE PRESIDENCY

NOTHING HAPPENED IN NIGERIA? - Journalists counted more than 500 bodies of Christians after a bloody attack by Muslims in central Nigeria. One mass grave in Dogo Na Hawa contains 332 Christians who were buried on Monday according to the Nigerian Red Cross. Although Nigeria is half Christian, it has a Muslim president. Officially the government police claim that only 109 died and say it was a reprisal for Muslim cattle being killed in January. Actually there were more than 300 Christians killed in January in the same area. President Obama has no comment on the massacre of Christians. Instead he is preparing for a trip to Muslim Indonesia where he is expected to make another speech thanking Islam for its great contributions to civilization.  
OBAMA'S MARCH OF FOLLY - Everything is being ignored at the White House to concentrate on forcing the Democrat Party controlled Congress to pass Obama Care. The threat of Iranian nukes has been forgotten, our allies are ignored, and the unemployment situation goes to the back of the bus. Obama has even delayed his apology tour to Indonesia by three days to concentrate on talking to members of his own party in the House to vote for Obama Care. Two highly regarded Democrat pollsters had this to say in the Washington Post: "Their blind persistence in the face of reality threatens to turn this political march of folly into an electoral rout in November." THE CONGRESS

TEN COMMANDMENTS RESOLUTION COMING - The language for the new Ten Commandments Weekend resolution has been completed and was filed by Congressman Paul Broun (R-GA) today. Ron Wexler of the Ten Commandments Commission and I have been working with various congressional offices for weeks to prepare a resolution. Ten Commandments Weekend is the first weekend in May and will coincide with the May Day 2010, a day of repentance and prayer to be held at the Lincoln Memorial. HOUSE AT A DEAD STOP - Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has canceled virtually all committee hearings to have her "team" work full time in getting the votes for taking over one sixth of the American economy with Obama Care. Not even in war time has the entire process of the House been nearly shut down to work on one bill. Democrats have over a forty seat majority and it is her own party that seems not to want to go along with her "march of folly" toward the cliff. Meanwhile the nation's business is being ignored.
"WE WANT PAID ABORTIONS" - Pro-life Democrat Bart Stupak, (D-MI) was told by committee Chairman Waxman that the leadership does want to fund abortion in a national health care plan. On a radio show Stupak recited a conversation between the two men: "I gave him the language. He came back a little while later and said, 'But we want to pay for abortions.' I said, 'Mr. Chairman, that's -- we disagree. We don't do it now, we're not going to start.' "'But we think (we) should,'" Stupak said Waxman told him. Read more

Speaker Polosi now thinks she has bought off enough congressmen to pass Obama Care without Stupak and his pro-lifers. She is scheduling a vote for next week.

CULTURE AND RELIGION

VICTORY FOR "IN GOD WE TRUST" - The decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled that the national motto, "In God We Trust," does not violate the U.S. Constitution, is a victory in the fight to halt the continuing destruction of our nation's religious heritage. This is a victory to savor considering the far left tendencies of the Court. Atheist Michael Newdow who brought the suit against the national motto, also lost a previous court battle against the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. The Pledge case remains in that Court.  
JIHAD JANE - A Pennsylvania woman known to authorities as "JihadJane" was charged in federal court this week with using the Internet to recruit jihadist fighters. She seemed obsessed with killing Lars Vilks, the Swedish cartoonist who drew the cartoon of Mohammed that caused riots in many parts of the Muslim world. Read more on Jihad Jane. Meanwhile seven more people were also arrested in Ireland for plotting to kill Lars Vilks. Great story on this in the London Times.

CHRISTIANS SLAUGHTERED IN NIGERIA -The Muslims came in the middle of the night and fired guns into the air. When the women and children ran from their homes they were slaughtered with machetes. Pregnant women, children and infants were not spared. President Bill Clinton sprang into action and bombed Christian Serbia for weeks when less was done to Muslims in that nation. Eventually, a part of Christian Serbia was taken to provide an independent Muslim nation in Europe. But, when Christians are massacred there seems not to be much interest in Washington, DC. Remembering September 11th

Each of us will remember exactly where we were and what we were doing at the moment we heard about the Islamic Jihad attack against our nation on September 11th, just as our parents and grandparents always remembered the details of their lives on the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

On that fateful day I was on my way to Washington, DC to participate in the Sudan Peace Act press conference to be held at the Rayburn House Office Building at 10:00 a.m. that morning.

As usual on my drive from my Virginia office to my Washington, DC office, I was listening to WTOP which is a commercial all news radio station. Within two or three minutes of the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center, they had a live report from a traffic helicopter in New York City. Immediately I knew that the Islamic Jihad against the United States had reached a new level of terror.

The media at first believed it was an accident, of course. I knew otherwise just because of the description of the damage. No small aircraft had hit the building and no large modern airliner would hit a skyscraper in broad daylight in good weather by accident.

I heard the New York traffic reporter as he described a second aircraft headed into tower number two of the World Trade Center and it was at that instant that I made my first call to the White House. I talked briefly to a special assistant to the President. I wanted to be the first to say, "The Jihad against America has begun."

It was just after 9:30 when I got off the phone with the White House official and was passing the Pentagon on my way into Washington. It was literally at that instant that American Airlines Flight 77 slammed into the south side of the Pentagon. I never saw the airplane hit, but literally felt the explosion rattle the windows of my Jeep. I can honestly say I did not know what had happened as I saw the smoke and flames rise from the Pentagon in my driver's side outside mirror. I thought it must have been a truck bomb, since I was not willing to believe that Islamic madmen had managed to hijack more than two jets.

The irony of my personal journey that day was the cancellation of the news conference on the Sudan Peace Act. That act was written for the sole purpose of stopping the slaughter of Christians in the Sudan by its Islamic government. During the Clinton Administration the Sudanese Muslims had been given a free hand at killing Christians as had the Islamic government of Indonesia. Clinton's only foreign intervention to "save" a religious group was the bombing of Christian Yugoslavia. The destruction of Yugoslavia by Clinton led to the construction of terror bases in Europe for the first time. Without the Yugoslav army to intervene, terror cells were free to launch attacks against the West from Kosovo.

Within days of the Jihad attack , the Bush Administration was proclaiming Islam as a "religion of peace" and America's left wing media launched into a "blame America and defend Islam" politically correct agenda that amazed even me. Not a single news outlet would place the blame for the attack where it belonged ... Before the end of September, I had written and placed advertisements in major newspapers including the Washington Times, clearly showing that there was no difference between the Taliban of Afghanistan and our Saudi Arabian "allies". In fact the Saudi princes had financed Bin-Laden and his terror cells.

For my truthfulness I was ostracized in Washington for some time. I was "uninvited" to events, and individuals at the White House no longer returned my calls. But I fought on, not only in print, but on radio and TV as well, telling the truth about Islam and Saudi Arabia. While congressmen and Senators were inviting Islamic clergy to pray at official events I was pointing out that the "Prophet" Mohammed was a murderer, thief and pedophile. Bin-Laden, I said was only doing his master's bidding and his master was Mohammed.

It took a year, but the truth prevailed! Slowly but surely newspapers and other media outlets began to listen to me. Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer joined the bandwagon of truth as did Franklin Graham. Soon even the major media could not ignore the truth. In August of this year a lawsuit for $1 trillion was filed by terror victims against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and many members of the Royal family. Documents filed by the lawyers of the 9-11 victims' families show clearly that Saudi Arabia gave Osama Bin-Laden and the Taliban $300 million to attack targets other than Saudi Arabia. Further, the Saudis gave Bin-Laden and the Taliban hundreds of millions of dollars of other financial assistance and oil.

Saudi Arabia and its royal families financed the Jihad attack against the United States by paying Osama Bin-Laden not to overthrow their corrupt regime. The tide of truth is rolling over the politically correct. Not even the National Education Association (NEA) can stop the truth. The NEA has presented a "blame America" curriculum to be taught by teachers this September. The NEA suggested that teachers point to the interment of Japanese citizens during World War II and other acts of American "intolerance." The NEA's official position is that "...no one group is to blame for 9-11." The vast majority of America's teachers have rejected the NEA "guidelines" and will tell the truth about what happened on 9-11 to their students.

There is blame to every evil deed and there is plenty of blame to go around for what happened on 9-11. We can blame our politically correct leaders for refusing to follow up leads to terrorist activity for fear of being "insensitive" to Muslims. We can blame a press and educational system that equates the vile deeds of Mohammed with the peace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The real blame in America rests in the failure of our civil and religious leaders to understand Islam. Terrible things have been done in the name of Christianity over the years, but we always had the words of Christ to return to. Some good things have been done in the name of Islam over the years, but unfortunately, men such as Osama Bin-Laden can always go back to the words of Mohammed. Mohammed was a vile murderer and a thief. The first massacre of Jews was conducted by him personally at Medina in the year 627. Yasser Arafat, in sending out his suicide bombers, is faithfully following Islam and the words of Mohammed. Arafat, Bin-Laden and Mohammed are one.

The great "Fatah" (military conquest for Islam) is upon us. It is the fourth great expansion of Islam. If we fail to realize this and do not stop the conquest militarily as was done to end the first three great Fatahs, our children and grandchildren will live as slaves to Mohammed.

What does the next year bring us, the next ten years? More violence against Christians by Islamic governments; more terror attacks in the name of Islamic Jihad; more Jewish and Christian children killed by suicide bombers and even more lies from Islamic leaders.

Muslims have no fear of lying. In the Washington Times, Faiz Rehman of the American Muslim Council had the gall to claim last month that 16% of those killed on 9-11 were Muslims. He claims that 500 of the 3,000 killed were Islamic and that America has a debt to Islam. American newspapers have printed this lie without challenge.

What is our defense? Truth rather than political correctness is our only defense. We need leaders who will tell the truth about Islam, tell the truth about Islamic nations, and tell the truth about the reality of Islam in America. We need leaders who are willing to take action against those who attack us and that includes those like the Saudis who finance the terror. Until then America will have no security and our families and descendants will be at risk.

PETITION TO HILLARY CLINTON ON IRAQI CHRISTIANS - Read and sign the new Internet petition to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The petition urges Clinton to direct our embassies to assist Christians who have fled Islamic terror in Iraq. The petition is located at www.iraqichristianrefugees.org.

THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA'S SUPREME MOMENT- With the retirement of Justice Souter, President Barack Obama will have his first opportunity to nominate a leftist radical to the Supreme Court. He will not pick anyone as "moderate" as former president Bill Clinton. Obama will want someone willing to change the Constitution so it will be more acceptable to the dictators who run the United Nations.

Justice Souter was a liberal, but not nearly as liberal as a likely Obama nominee. He is also younger than either Justice Ginsburg, 76, or Justice John Paul Stevens, 89. Fortunately the older members of the bench are the most liberal.

KILL THE CHRISTIAN PIGS - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton doesn't seem to care if Islamic dictators persecute Christians. She has turned a blind eye toward the Iraqi Christians just as her predecessor Condoleezza Rice did. When the Egyptian government killed more than 300,000 pigs belonging to Christian farmers, she said nothing. This is a genuine humanitarian concern, because these are desperately poor people who are denied most avenues of earning a living in Egypt. If the Russians had killed 300,000 goats belonging to Muslim farmers, I am very sure she would be outraged. The Egyptians claim they killed every pig belonging to Christian farmers because of swine flu; however, there is not a case of the flu in all of Eqypt. Also, it is not passed by pigs to humans, but by human to human contact. This story is not in the US press, but you can read more in the UK press.

WHO WILL STOP NAPOLITANO? - The Religious Freedom Coalition with the help of other organizations ran a color ad for two days in the Washington Times, exposing Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano's bias against social conservatives. She is pulling resources away from investigating threats from violent Islamic Jihadists, in order to investigate pro-life, pro-family groups and veterans returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. She considers those who believe in traditional marriage as a greater threat to America than members of Jihadist organizations. Read our ad here. THOUGHT CRIMES ON THE WAY - The so called Hate Crimes Bill passed the House and headed to the Senate this week. H.R. 1913 elevated "actual or perceived" sexual orientation" or "gender identity" to federal legal status. The vote was 249 to 175, with 10 not voting. See how your congressman voted here.

Senator Ted Kennedy has introduced S. 909 in the Senate which has 34 co-sponsors and is now in the Senate Judiciary Committee. If it is passed by the Senate, your pastor could go to jail for reading certain Scriptures in the Bible. If you don't want this law, contact your Senators and request them to vote NO. Call both your Senators now. Call the Capitol Switchboard number, (202) 224-3121, and ask to be connected to your Senators.

MEET THE SAN FRANCISCO COPS - Chief Heather Fong (left), the first SFPD female chief of police. Theresa Sparks (center, a former male) who is president of the San Francisco Police Commission and the CEO of a multi million-dollar sex toy retailer and a trans gender woman. Sgt. Stephan Thorne (right, former female) and the first transgender SFPD police officer. And who did they elect as their representative to Congress? Speaker Nancy Pelosi represents San Francisco, which sort of tells us the direction America is headed.

OBAMA, THE CATHOLICS AND ABORTION - Mary Ann Glendon, the Learned Hand Professor of Law at Harvard University and a former U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican, has been a pro-life champion for decades. She is a faithful Catholic who has defended her Church without compromise and was about to receive the most prestigious award bestowed by the University of Notre Dame, the Laetere Medal. This past week she said she was refusing the award because the university was granting an honorary degree in law to pro-abortionist Barack Obama. HARVARD CHAPLAIN: "DEATH TO CONVERTS" - Last week I reported that the Muslim Chaplain at Harvard University said that the death penalty for converting from Islam to Christianity was "appropriate." The story first appeared in the Harvard Crimson and was ignored by the media. I have sent copies of the story to virtually every news outlet. EGYPT JAILS COPTIC PRIEST - Father Mattaos Wahba, is the priest of Archangel Michael Church at Kerdasa, Geza, Egypt. He is a pious priest and good Egyptian citizen who had never been in a prison other than to minister to inmates. His life abruptly changed when he was arrested, charged and convicted of aiding a Muslim woman in getting an ID card as a Christian to enable her to marry a Christian man. He has been sentenced to 5 years at hard labor. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

PRESIDENT BUSH MARKS 9-11 - President George W. Bush marked the seventh anniversary of the Jihad attack on the United States by dedicating a memorial to those who died at the Pentagon, including the passengers on flight 77. He closed with these remarks: "That day of peace will come. And until it does, we ask a loving God to watch over our troops in battle. We ask Him to comfort the families who mourn. MCCAIN AND OBAMA TAKE BREAK FOR 9-11 - The John McCain and Barack Obama campaigns set aside most of their campaigns on the seventh anniversary of the Jihad attack against the United States. The liberal media blitz against Gov. Sarah Palin did not pause . Liberals are accusing her of trying to ban books at a library (untrue); teach creationism in Alaskan public schools (untrue), and posing in a bikini with an assault rifle (also untrue despite the fact that CNN reported it). However, I did sort of like the cartoon of the Moose saying, "Be afraid, be very afraid.

THE PALIN FACTOR - Polls of Europeans, particularly the British, had Barack Obama the three to one favorite over John McCain; that was before Sarah Palin entered the picture and reminded the Brits of their beloved first ever female prime minister, Margaret Thacher. The tone of the British press has changed somewhat as can be seen from a recent article in the Daily Mail titled, A pistol-packin' Looby Loo: the Left's worst nightmare.

THE CONGRESS

JUST 15 DAYS TO LEGISLATE? - This week I had lunch with Congressman Adam Putnam. As Chairman of the House Republican Conference, Putnam is third in line in the House Republican leadership. The Conference Chairman is charged with articulating his party's message, and with building the agenda for Republicans in the House. He was elected to lead the Republican Conference by his fellow congressmen.

Congressman Putnam told me that leftist Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi had scheduled only 15 work days for the rest of year for the House. Of those days, only 14 are before the election and there is just one day of work after the election. She scheduled so few days despite the fact that most of the government's funding bills, which are already months late, need to be passed. Even bills to fund the military have not been passed. Meanwhile, Rep. Putnam said he does expect Pelosi to file dozens of bills to name post office buildings. Boy that sounds important!

SENATOR REID HAS PLANS? - Not much to report in the Senate at all. The Majority Leader of the Senate, Harry Reid, is not going to advance any legislation without the permission of Comrad Obama who is on the campaign trail and falling further behind the McCain/Palin ticket every day. Obama was going to showcase himself on the Senate floor with "education bills" but now does not have the time to come to Washington.

SENATOR BIDEN IN TROUBLE WITH BISHOPS - Two prominent U.S. Catholic bishops this week said that Democratic vice presidential nominee, Senator Joe Biden contradicted church teaching. He said on a TV interview that determining when human life begins is a "personal and private" matter of religious faith not to be imposed on others. Read more. He is just one of many pro-abortion Catholics such as Nancy Pelosi in the Democrat Party.

ANTI-ABORTION BUT PRO-OBAMA? - A new survey of Catholic voters has been released that shows "active Catholics" support John McCain. But there is an oddity in the poll. 35% of those in the survey who said they would never support a candidate who voted against the Born Alive Infant Protect Act, still said they would vote for Obama. Of course, Barack Obama did vote against protecting infants born alive in a botched abortion. Read more.

CHINA'S OFFICIAL RELIGIONS - There are no denominations in China; this is one of the things I learned from Kan Baoping, the general secretary of the China Christian Council. This week I had dinner with him and Gao Feng, the president of the China Christian Council. Also at the dinner were the heads of the Taoist, Buddhist and Islamic "official" religions in China. I was one of about 12 others who sat at the table with the Chinese leaders to discuss matters of religion in China. Among the things discussed was the arrest of a Christian bookstore owner in China. One of the Chinese Christian leaders present requested that I send him a book I had authored that he had heard of. Photo above is of myself and Kan Boeping.
