Obama rebels target church in Damascus - Three mortar shells landed in the Qassaa district, killing eight civilians and wounding 24 others. Another three people were injured when a fourth mortar slammed into the Holy Cross church in the neighborhood. Read more
Congress
Congressional resolution supports chaplains - The House of Representatives this week passed House Congressional Resolution 58, which ensures that U.S. military chaplains will be free to exercise their constitutional rights during the government shutdown. Representative Doug Collins (R-GA) sponsored the resolution. He's a former military chaplain in the Air Force. Read more
Former congressman speaks on murder rate - At the Values Voter Summit today Congressman Allen West stated that the United States was number three in murder rates of all nations in the world. However, he said, when the Democrat ruled cities of Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans and Washington, DC were removed from the calculation -- the United States was 4th from the bottom. This illustrates, explained West, why the Biblical values of conservatives matter.

Religious Freedom Coalition at Values Voter Summit - The Religious Freedom Coalition is an exhibitor at the annual Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC. Our booth at the Values Voter Summit this year is focused on our campaign to expose the abuse of Christian guest workers in Saudi Arabia. Many of those attending the Summit are signing petitions asking for Congress to pass a resolution condemning the Saudi abuses. Read more

Syria: Civilian massacre by rebels documented - Human Rights Watch, not known to be a "right-wing" organization, has just published a lengthy report documenting the slaughter of Syrian civilians by Obama's "rebels" fighting in Syria. Entire unarmed families were murdered by Islamic rebels fighting the secular government. Read more
Bangladesh: Bomb factory explodes in Islamic "school" - Apparently Muslims make more than shirts in Bangladesh. An explosion ripped through a madrassa (Islamic school) run by Hefajat-e-Islam, an Islamic fundamentalist group. Police investigating found a bomb making factory - Read more
Indonesia: Christians still jailed for Evangelism - There has been no action by President Obama to ask the government of his boyhood home, Indonesia, to release Christians jailed for years for the "crime" of evangelism. The Religious Freedom Coalition is promoting an online petition to Congress for a congressional resolution asking Obama to intercede to help imprisoned Christians in Indonesia. Read more
UK: Head of M15 warns on Jihadists - Andrew Parker, the new head of Britian's intelligence agency MI5, has recently warned that homegrown Islamic terrorists see the public as legitimate targets for attacks. He is deeply concerned about the Jihadists who have left Britain to fight in Syria. When they return to the UK, they'll be even more dangerous than they were before. Read more

Congressman was almost victim of abortion - Representative Marlin Stutzman (R-IN) recently learned that his then 17-year-old mother nearly aborted him in 1975, when after her house burned she was homeless and alone. Retired General fights for religious freedom in military - Retired Lt. General William Boykin is calling upon citizens to rally in defense of religious liberty within the U.S. Armed Forces. Domestic Servitude by Saudi diplomats - Since the initial reports of two domestic slaves being rescued from a home owned by the Saudi government and located in McLean, Virginia, the State Department and the Saudis have been silent. Neither the Saudi Ambassador nor the State Department would reveal the names of the Saudi officials living in the home; however, local records indicate that the most probable resident may be the Saudi Embassy defense attaché, Brig. The Presidency
The President and the Newton massacre - America is a violent society and if you don't believe that just watch the prime time TV shows each evening that depict gruesome murders and masked militarized police invading homes. (My personal favorite was a real-life show in which over twenty heavily armed masked police invaded the three room house of an unarmed obese female shoplifter.) Human bodies are dissected on detective shows as people watch and eat sandwiches. There is virtually no respect for humanity in our national media and the liberals are all more concerned about tadpoles that may go extinct than feeding poor kids. In response President Obama asks "why" the Newtown shootings occurred and appointed a commission to look into the "problem." The problem is obvious: The problem is liberal public schools that teach situational ethics and no moral absolutes. Read William J Murray's column
RINO to run Pentagon? - Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer, is expected to nominate "Republican" former Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel to run the Pentagon after Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta leaves. Hagel once advised the Republican Party leadership that it should have a "big tent" policy that avoids social conservative issues. According to Hagel: "The Republican Party "shouldn't be a philosophy about morals." Hagel has supported by a wide range of anti-Israel forces around the world. Among those are radical Islamists who recently appeared on Press TV, Iran's official government television network to praise Hagel. Read more
Senator John Kerry replaces Hillary - President Barack Hussein Obama nominated Sen. John Kerry as his next secretary of state, saying Kerry's entire life "has prepared him for this role." I wonder if getting "prepared" included demonstrations against our armed services during the Vietnam War and tossing the citations he received while serving in the trash?
Congress
The Norquist factor - "Conservative" icon Grover Norquist, who agrees with George Soros on just about everything except taxes, endorsed Speaker John Beohner's plan to raise taxes on those making over $1 million a year. The Boehner tax bill, called Plan B, was pulled from the floor because Democrats didn't think it raised taxes far enough and Tea Party Republicans thought it raised taxes too much. Oddly Norquist just a few days earlier threatened to campaign against Republicans who "violated" his ATR tax pledge which he then violated himself. We are witnessing the self-destruction of a political party that doesn't have a clue as to who voted them into office. Read more
Alternative Minimum Tax - No one is talking on Capitol Hill about the AMT which will increase taxes on the average family by more than $4,000 in 2013. The tax set up in the 19060's to stop the "wealthy" from paying no taxes by using deductions has never been set to adjust for inflation. Because Congress took no action to raise the income trigger in 2012, as it has each year in the past, those earning as little as 33,750 will be forced to pay higher taxes.

The Newtown school massacre - The mainstream media immediately blamed guns and mental illness for the attack that killed so many young children. ABC nightly news asserted that 20% of children in the United States are mentally ill and that huge sums of money must be directed to help them. (ABC News stated that 23% of American women and 17% of American men are mentally ill as well.) It is ridiculous to state that one in five American children is mentally ill, but it would be right to state that more than one out of five children has no exposure to Christian teachings or morals and that is the real problem. I wrote a very lengthy column at WND.COM in which I place a lot of the blame on the churches of America for failing to preach the wrath of God and the existence of Hell. CAIR leader supports destruction of Israel - Cyrus McGoldrick is the Civil Rights Manager and spokesman for the New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR in New York. At his Facebook page he repeated has used the slogan "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," which of course means the destruction of Israel and the death of all the Jews there. During the November missile attacks by HAMAS on Israel he set up a link at a CAIR site to transfer funds to a terrorist organization. Any criticism of his behavior is, of course, Islamophobia. Pakistan: Nine medical workers killed by Taliban - A ninth medical worker was killed during a wave of attacks on polio-vaccination teams. All have died at the hands of the Muslim Taliban since December 17. All have been killed while distributing free polio vaccine drops. Five of the nine health workers killed were women.
France: Victimhood caused Mohammed Merah to kill kids - "Mohammed Merah, you know, he's a hero, he's a martyr of Islam." That is what the cold blooded killing who shot Jewish kids in the face is called in his olde neighborhood. The New York Times investigated the "whys" and discovered it was not Islam but poverty. The liberal mind is just amazing.Read more
Thailand: Muslims hunt down Buddhist to kill - According to the liberal media in the West the only reason Muslims kill Christians and Jews in because of the existence of Israel. Why then are Muslims hunting down and killing Buddhists? Angry they could not find a Buddhist to kill at a government office the Muslims burned it down. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA AND THE TINKERBELL EFFECT - If you have Tinkerbell to call on, life is pretty easy. You just make a wish, and poof -- it comes to pass. As I watched President Barack Obama (or Barry Soetoro or whatever his real name is), I was stunned by the Tinkerbell effect that surrounds him. During the speech he told seniors that he would not change Medicare. A few sentences later he said he would abolish Medicare Advantage which has millions of participants. Obama plans to "save" half a trillion in Medicare payments to pay for his "Obama-care" program, while at the same time making Medicare better. Was that distraction during his talk Tinkerbell jumping from Nancy Pelosi's shoulder to his shoulder? His 9/9/09 speech to the joint session was so full of outright fantasies it is just hard to address them all. The current state of medical care in the United States is not the real issue here; it is the liberal fantasy of creating a utopia that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the "progressives" envision. They believe that government can provide medical care and a minimum living standard for all Americans, while shutting down "polluting" factories, ending war, and sort of peacefully merging Christianity and Islam.  

MEDICARE AS A MODEL? - During his address to Congress Barack Obama talked of using Medicare as a model. Why on earth would he say that? First of all, Medicare is going broke. It is so underfunded that there is no way to pay the benefits of even the Baby-boomer generation. Second, it is subsidized by private insurance. Medicare payout rates are so low that doctors and hospitals have to charge others more. To get a true picture of Medicare as a model, read this Wall Street Journal Online Op-ed.
 
HUCKABEE ON OBAMA - I received an e-mail from Governor Mike Huckabee on Obama's address to Congress. He had this to say: "President Obama's biggest problem is that last night, he made many clearly-stated promises that sound great - health care for all, lower costs, free colonoscopies - but that's not what Congress is about to vote on. He talked as if the process is just starting, but there's already a bill before Congress, and it's a murky, 1,018-page monstrosity, and nobody can explain for certain what it says." And there is more. There are a total of four bills that have passed House committees and another version in the Senate. Everyone of them would use federal money for abortions and/or force private insurance companies to pay for abortions contrary to the comments of Barack Obama." See Huckabee video on Obama-care
 
OBAMA AND 9-11 - I believe it was wrong for Barack Obama to hold a major address to Congress just 36 hours before the anniversary hour of the 9-11 Jihad attack on the United States. Last week I posted a Youtube video stating that this would put him in the center of the news on 9-11, rather than the victims of Islam. Sure enough, all the headlines today are about Obama-care, not the victims of 9-11. Couldn't this speech have waited one week? See my Youtube video

THE CONGRESS

CRAZY AS AN OUT HOUSE RAT? - That is how one journalist referred to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I can't agree with him though, because I believe the situation with her is far worse than that. Nancy Pelosi is a rich white liberal who lives in a fantasy world of her own creation, and who has purchased a seat in Congress. She can afford to maintain a private home staff to take care of everything from washing her underwear to managing her wealth. Her husband is a developer who make huge sums of money from the government programs she tosses his way. She sees nothing wrong with corruption as long as the ones getting paid off are liberals like herself, who "champion the poor." The sad part of this: Nancy Pelosi is next in line after Vice President Biden to take over the presidency. Should something happen to Obama and Biden, we would have someone to the far left of Hugo Chavez in the White House, a woman who lives in a constant state of fantasy. Pray for our nation!  

WHEN SANITY RULED CONGRESS - The Journals of the Continental Congress record that on Wednesday, September 7, 1774 at 9:00 AM the Congress voted to thank Rev. Mr. Duche for the prayer he gave at the beginning of the session. This was the first official prayer in the Congress to anyone's knowledge. CULTURE AND RELIGION

ACORN - A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE? - Barack Obama's first real job was as a "community organizer" for ACORN. There are currently criminal complaints against ACORN in several states. This week in Florida, fourteen ACORN employees were charged with voter fraud. Also, in Baltimore two ACORN employees instructed a man and woman posing as a pimp and prostitute about how to get federal aid and tax benefits while setting up a house of prostitution for underage girls. And just today, videotape was released showing ACORN staffers in Washington, DC explaining to two people how they can hide the profession of prostitution and get a loan to establish a brothel. ACORN is a criminal enterprise now, it was a criminal enterprise when Barack Obama worked for it, and it was a criminal enterprise when Republicans controlled the House and funded it. ACTRESS FIRED FOR REFUSING PRO-GAY ROLE - Patricia Mauceri was fired and abruptly replaced on "One Life to Live" after she objected to acting in a segment with a gay storyline. She said her religious beliefs and even those of the character she played would not allow her to. She was instructed to read a script that made it seem her conservative Christian character approved of homosexuality. She is not the first soap opera star to leave a show over this issue. Earlier, Chris Engen quit "The Young and the Restless" because his character, Adam, was supposed to kiss a man. The message from Hollywood is clear. If you will not accept homosexuality or play the part of a homosexual, you will not get work. New York Daily News.

SERVANT OF OBAMA

THIS IS SCARY - A large group of Hollywood stars, on video, stated: "I pledge to be a servant of our president." The pledge of the group comes at the end of the video. To get there you have to listen to the word "change" being used so many times it is sort of sickening and you just want to turn it off. I have seen lots of soviet communist and Nazi propaganda films, and this falls right into that category. "A SETTLEMENT FREEZE IS STUPID" - That is what my good friend Ron Nachman, the mayor of Ariel, had to say about Barack Obama's demand that Jews stop building homes in Ariel. He blamed most of the problem on Obama's Jewish advisers who are anti-Israel, among them Rahm Emanuel.
