Congressional resolution supports chaplains - The House of Representatives this week passed House Congressional Resolution 58, which ensures that U.S. military chaplains will be free to exercise their constitutional rights during the government shutdown. Representative Doug Collins (R-GA) sponsored the resolution. He's a former military chaplain in the Air Force. Read more
Former congressman speaks on murder rate - At the Values Voter Summit today Congressman Allen West stated that the United States was number three in murder rates of all nations in the world. However, he said, when the Democrat ruled cities of Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans and Washington, DC were removed from the calculation -- the United States was 4th from the bottom. This illustrates, explained West, why the Biblical values of conservatives matter.

Syria: Civilian massacre by rebels documented - Human Rights Watch, not known to be a "right-wing" organization, has just published a lengthy report documenting the slaughter of Syrian civilians by Obama's "rebels" fighting in Syria. Entire unarmed families were murdered by Islamic rebels fighting the secular government. Read more
Bangladesh: Bomb factory explodes in Islamic "school" - Apparently Muslims make more than shirts in Bangladesh. An explosion ripped through a madrassa (Islamic school) run by Hefajat-e-Islam, an Islamic fundamentalist group. Police investigating found a bomb making factory - Read more
Indonesia: Christians still jailed for Evangelism - There has been no action by President Obama to ask the government of his boyhood home, Indonesia, to release Christians jailed for years for the "crime" of evangelism. The Religious Freedom Coalition is promoting an online petition to Congress for a congressional resolution asking Obama to intercede to help imprisoned Christians in Indonesia. Read more
UK: Head of M15 warns on Jihadists - Andrew Parker, the new head of Britian's intelligence agency MI5, has recently warned that homegrown Islamic terrorists see the public as legitimate targets for attacks. He is deeply concerned about the Jihadists who have left Britain to fight in Syria. When they return to the UK, they'll be even more dangerous than they were before. Read more

Muslim Brotherhood salute at Homeland Security - Mohamed Elibiary is on Obama's Department of Homeland Security Advisory Panel and he recently plastered a Muslim Brotherhood symbol on his public Twitter profile. The R4BIA symbol is used by those trying to return the tyranny of the Muslim Brotherhood back to Egypt. It is also popular with Islamists in Turkey who believe it supports Islamic Jihad, the unification of the Islamic world and the end of capitalism. Read more

Senator McCain hires paid propagandist - Somethings Senator John McCain does are beyond imagination. McCain has just hired Elizabeth O'Bagy as a legislative assistant. O'Bagy was recently fired from her job at the Institute for the Study of War after her employer found that she had lied to them on the status of her non-existent Ph.D. She was barred from Fox and other news outlets after it was discovered that she was paid propagandist for Syrian "rebels." Prayer Caucus Congressman gives back his pay - Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA), the chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, has written to the Chief Administrator of the House of Representatives to ask that his salary be withheld during the government shutdown. Read more

Syria: More churches destroyed by rebels - Al-Qaida-linked Syrian rebels from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant sacked a Melkite Greek-Catholic Church in the Syrian town of al-Raqqa. Read more
Syria: Jihadists unite into one group - Forty-three different terrorist groups operating in Syria to overthrow President Bashar Assad have just joined an alliance known as the Army of Islam. The head of this 43 member terrorist group is Zahran Alloush, who commanded the Liwa al-Islam brigade. Not joining the group is the Free Syrian Army and the biggest terrorist group Al-Nusra. Nigeria: Death count rises in school attack - The Muslim group Boko Haram attacked the Yobe State College of Agriculture in Nigeria in the middle of the night killing 50 students in their sleep. Just recently another 15 bodies were discovered in the bushes near the college as terrified students fled for their lives. Read more
United Kingdom: Tax funded Sharia compliant schools - The Gatestone Institute reports that a British tax-payer funded school is operating according to Sharia law in Derby. Islamic fundamentalists are running the Al-Madinah School and have forced female teachers (including non-Muslims) to wear covers over their heads. Read more
Qatar: World Cup slaves - The Guardian newspaper revealed the horrid facts of the treatment of "quest workers" in Qatar, who are the equivalent of slaves, used to prepare for the prestigious World Cup. This is the same Qatar financing the "rebels" in Syria to bring "democracy." Read more

Obama's Army: Catholics and Evangelicals are extremists - A U.S. Army training instructor listed Evangelical Christianity and Catholicism as examples of religious extremism along with Al-Qaeda and Hamas, during a briefing with an Army Reserve unit based in Pennsylvania, Fox News has learned. Obama silent on Islamist killings - A Pakistani grocer running on a secularist party ticket has been shot dead in a drive-by killing in the southern city of Hyderabad. No comment from President Obama. There was also no comment from him on the killings of Coptic Christians in Egypt or the 80 Christians killed on Easter in Nigeria. It seems that any killings of Christians or secularists by Muslims will not be criticized by this White House.
Obama Spending: Economics is not normally the subject of this update, but I was stunned to learn that in 2010 the net spending at all levels of government - including Federal, State and municipal - amounted to $5.94 trillion. Divided among the 118,682,000 households in the United States, that comes to $50,074 per household. The median household income in 2010 was $49,445. This means that government spends more per family than a family on average earns. Read more

AP and other media shield serial killer - U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman spoke on the House floor this afternoon to call attention to the horrific crimes of Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist in West Philadelphia being tried for the deaths of seven newborn babies and one adult woman. Read more

SYRIA: Islamists take over Golan Heights - The Syrian government has withdrawn large numbers of troops from the Golan Heights, leaving the area under the control of armed Islamist groups threatening Israel. Read more
EGYPT: Christian mourners attacked - Coptic Christians attending a funeral service at St. Marks Cathedral in Cairo for four Copts killed two days earlier in an anti-Christian rampage, were attacked themselves by at least 200 Muslim rioters. Instead of protecting the Christians, police joined the rioters. Read more
