The Presidency
Obama's main man in Egypt out - President Obama's Arab Spring which features the installation of Islamists governments in the Middle East derailed somewhat this week as the Egyptian military deposed Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi from power. The current head of the Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammed Badie, was arrested for the deaths of eight protestors outside his headquarters.
Obama's proxy war on Christians - With the recent decision to arm the opposition fighting Syrian President Assad, President Obama has effectively declared a proxy war on Syria's indigenous Christians, yet it is being presented to the American people as a war to safeguard the "human rights" and "freedoms" of the Syrian people. Congress in recess - Congress is in recess for Independence Day and will reconvene on Monday, July 8th, 2013.
Senator Cruz: don't arm Syrian terrorists - Texas Senator Ted Cruz was on the Senate floor recently explaining to his colleagues why Obama is wrong to arm Syrian terrorists to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad. Cruz's logic is very simple: We shouldn't arm Islamic terrorists who wish to kill us. Read more
No tax dollars for jihadists - The Religious Freedom Coalition has begun an online petition asking congressmen to speak out against any funding, military or otherwise, to jihadists anywhere in the world. Syria: Towns face rebels mass murder - Obama supported "rebels" have threatened to kill all 50,000 residents of two towns near Aleppo they have under siege unless they surrender. The towns have been cut off from water and food by the "rebels" for nearly a year and that is OK with the West. Read more
Egypt - Many Christian girls kidnapped under Morsi rule - Churches were anxiously awaiting on Friday, July 5, to learn whether Egypt's new president would be able to end massive kidnappings of Christians, many of them Coptic Christian girls, as well as wealthy believers. The abductions have become a sensitive issue for Adly Mansour who was sworn in as interim head of state this week. Read more
China: Muslims kill another 27 people - Muslims attacked police and other people with knives and set fire to police cars in China's restive far-western region this week in violence that killed 27 people, one of the bloodiest incidents since unrest in the regional capital killed nearly 200 in 2009. Obama Air Force awards bronze star for politically correct PowerPoint - An Air Force chaplain has been awarded a Bronze Star for his service in crafting an especially good PowerPoint about how to treat Islamic religious materials with sensitivity. The Air Force claims that by teaching Air force personnel to revere Islamic writings, he saved lives. NO - this is not a joke. Read more
Obama State Department wants more Muslims in USA - Better educated Muslims are more likely to be members of terrorists groups, a recent study shows. Therefore, the State Department plans to end terror by bringing more Muslims to the USA to take college spots away from Americans. Program in "high gear." Read more
Obama Arab Spring in Tunisia a new nightmare - The first "Arab Spring" nation, Tunisia, has become a haven for jihadists including many members of Al-Qaeda. Even Huffington Post is reporting the failure of the "Arab Spring" in Tunisia. "Democratic Islamic" is an oxymoron. Read more

Congress in recess - Both the House and Senate are on a two week "District Work" break. While many Senators can take time off to bask in the sun somewhere, members of the House actually have to return to their districts and meet with constituents. All have offices in their districts. Nigeria: Easter attacks kill 80 Christians - Nigerian Christians appealed for prayers Tuesday, April 2, after Easter season violence in troubled central Nigeria left as many as 80 people dead and displaced some 4,500 others. Read more
Pakistan: Muslim mob attacks Christians - Incited by calls from mosque loudspeakers, a Muslim mob attacked a Christian neighborhood in Gujranwala today, injuring at least five Christians, damaging churches and destroying dozens of shops and vehicles. Read more
Bangladesh: Christian children rescued from Islamic training centers disappear again - Eleven of the sixteen Christian children who were rescued from Muslim traffickers in Dhaka, Bangladesh on January 2 have again gone missing. Sources in the Christian community, as well as reports in local newspapers, report that they believe the children were re-trafficked and taken to madrassas, Islamic training centers, where they will likely be forced to convert to Islam and study the Quran. Germany: Muslims want official holidays - The Central Council of Muslims in Germany proposed that federal authorities formalize two Islamic holidays as official holidays. This is not shocking news, as in some areas Muslims already have that right.
United Nations: Obsessed with Israel - In the last few decades the United Nations has been obsessed with one country. More resolutions are passed against Israel than all other nations combined. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY
CHAPLAINS MUST RECOGNIZE SAME- SEX MARRIAGE - President Obama has informed the Congress that he will veto the military authorization bill because of an amendment added by Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) that would allow military chaplains to refuse to participate in same-sex marriages. Obama said he would veto all funding for the military unless chaplains can be forced to violate their faith. Read more
OBAMA ORDERS VIOLATION OF LAWS - DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act, is the law of the land. DOMA defines marriage as between one man and one woman and specifically states that the federal government will not recognize any other type of union. President Barack Obama has now ordered the military to preform same-sex marriages, even in states where same-sex marriage is constitutionally forbidden. As president, it is Barack Obama's duty to uphold the now, not to order others to violate it.
NEW AD POINTS TO MORE OBAMA VIOLATIONS OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - The Religious Freedom Coalition has a continuing advertising campaign designed to stop President Barack Obama's frequent attacks on religious freedom. This weekend, an ad listing even more of Obama's egregious insults to religious freedom was placed in the weekly edition of the New York Times which is distributed in Washington, DC and mailed to all 50 states. CONGRESS
PROTECTING CHAPLAINS - As mentioned above, President Barack Obama has threatened to veto the entire military authorization bill unless chaplains can be ordered to violate established law. Below is the exact wording of Rep. Todd Akin's amendment to the FY2013 National Defense Authorization Act, Section 536 of H.R. 4310 states in part that no member of the armed forces may "direct, order, or require a chaplain to perform any duty, rite, ritual, ceremony, service, or function that is contrary to the conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the chaplain, or contrary to the moral principles and religious beliefs of the endorsing faith group of the chaplain."
GROUPS HELP FIGHT INTERNET GAMBLING - The Religious Freedom Coalition and 12 other of the nation's leading pro-family advocacy groups submitted a letter to the leadership of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives calling for them to act immediately to stop the massive expansion of internet gambling enabled by Attorney General Holder's surprise reinterpretation of the Wire Act. Holder's action would allow states to sell lottery tickets on the Internet. Read more
TAXPAYERS ARE PAYING FOR ABORTIONS - Congressmen Bill Huizenga and Dan Boren introduced H.R. 5646, the Homeland Security Respect for Life Act, which closes loopholes that allow taxpayer funds to be used for abortions for illegal immigrants in detention by the Department of Homeland Security. The bill mirrors language that is currently included in the annual Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations bill which prohibits taxpayer funding of abortions for federal detainees, but not those under DHS jurisdiction.

UNIVERSITY DROPS INSURANCE BECAUSE OF OBAMACARE - Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, announced that it is cancelling its health insurance policy for students and will not offer any plan that "requires us to violate the consistent teachings of the Catholic Church on the sacredness of human life." But beyond the contraception mandate, the university also cited skyrocketing costs associated with ObamaCare. Read more

OBAMA'S BLIND SPOT - When Libya's Moammar Gadhafi tried to put down an uprising of Muslim extremists, President Barack Obama rushed in to bomb the presidential palace in Tripoli. In Egypt, the Obama Administration made it clear to President Mubarak that he must leave power or see the wrath of the United States after he ordered the killing of some Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators. Yet, every single day, Christians are arrested, tortured and killed by Muslim extremist governments and Obama says nothing. Currently the Administration is working to overthrow the last secular nation in the Middle East -- Syria, the only nation in which Christians can still safely live. JOBS, JOBS, JOBS FOR SAUDI ARABIA- The very day President Obama announced he would speak to the nation on job creation, his Administration announced regulations that would kill jobs and increase dependence on Islamic nations for energy. As a result of the regulations coal mines will close, older oil refineries will close, and an additional $7 billion a year will be spent by businesses on more regulation. Corporations must recover the money someplace, and that means fewer jobs, Meanwhile the Administration has shut down "until further notice" the North Anna Nuclear Power Plant in Virginia, which was not damaged during the earthquake in August. It will probably never reopen, causing even more oil to be imported.

THE CONGRESS 

SENATOR LIEBERMAN: OBAMA TOO CONCERNED WITH OFFENDING MUSLIMS - "The administration still refuses to call our enemy in this war by its proper name: violent Islamist extremism," Lieberman said, speaking at a National Press Club event hosted by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). "To call our enemy 'violent extremism' is so general and vague that it ultimately has no meaning. The other term used sometimes is Al Qaeda and its allies. Now that's better but it is still too narrow and focuses us on groups as opposed to what I would call an ideology, which is what we're really fighting." Read the rest

CLAYTON, MO (KMOX) - Taking heat from Muslim groups upset with a coloring book about the 9/11 attacks, a publisher says he's been in contact with local police and the FBI. Wayne Bell, the publisher of Really Big Coloring Books, Inc., says there's been a negative backlash against the book "We Shall Never Forget 9/11: The Kids' Book of Freedom." "These are people from Al-Jazeera that have called in here numerous times, people from Iranian TV, people from Palestinian Hamas TV," Bell said, "A lot of people from the Islamic community have called in here and said increasingly negative things prior to the book being made and then after we made the book too, about the book itself." GAFFNEY WARNS ON MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD - Former Undersecretary of Defense, Frank Gaffney said, "In recent weeks, we have been put on notice repeatedly: Absent a fundamental course correction, America will go the way of Europe and others before it, succumbing to an insidious totalitarian doctrine known as Shariah whose purpose, in the words of its prime practitioners - the Muslim Brotherhood - is to "destroy Western civilization from within." NLRB: CHURCH SCHOOL NOT RELIGIOUS ENOUGH - St. Xavier University was founded in 1846, and is the oldest Catholic school in Illinois. Its corporate member is a Catholic body with the "powers for the governance of" St. Xavier, that "links the University to the [Catholic] Church and makes it an officially recognized member of the Church." St. Xavier's Board of Trustees must have at least four nuns from the order that founded the school, and, according to its bylaws, its governing body must "ensure [St. Xavier] continues its educational and religious mission." After quoting these sources and many others, the NLRB's regional director concluded in true Orwellian fashion that "the evidence establishes" that St. Xavier is "a secular educational institution or university." Islamic assassinations, mass murders and riots often peak during the "holy" month of Ramadan as imams poison the minds of men virtually every day rather than just on Fridays. CHRISTIAN CONVERTS FLEE ASYLUM CENTER - At the center for asylum seekers in Jaern, Norway, where a Christian convert last week was attacked with boiling water, four other Christians have fled the center because of threats. Muslims at the asylum center told Christians, "This is Jihad, holy war, and we are waiting for at fatwa (license to kill) from the local imam at the mosque in Sandnes." One young man going by the name of "Arsland" told the newspaper Dagen, "I had to escape and flee the asylum reception center in fear for my life. "Arsland" is from Afghanistan and had converted to Christianity. Read more

FRIEND OF SHARIAH - "Mr. Obama is pursuing policies favored by those who adhere to the repressive, supremacist and virulently anti-American Islamic political-military-legal program its adherents call shariah," according to security expert Frank Gaffney. In a recent article on the Egyptian crisis Gaffney went on to explain, "In Iran, shariah is already the law of the land, ruthlessly enforced by the Shiite theocrats of Tehran. In Egypt, the Mubarak regime's failure faithfully to enforce shariah is one of the principal impetuses behind the Iranian mullahs' Sunni wannabe counterparts, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB or, in Arabic, Ikhwan)." That is just part of the indictment of President Barack Obama by former Undersecretary of Defense Frank Gaffney. In his latest article Gaffney details how Obama is supporting the advancement of the radical Islamic agenda either by ignorance or deliberate intent. Read more  
IS EGYPT THE NEW IRAN - President Jimmy Carter declared that he had helped bring democracy to Iran in 1979. Within a few months the notion of democracy was replaced by a Islamic theocracy. President Barack Obama. much to the displeasure of Saudi Arabian royalty, has now "helped" bring about democracy in Egypt. My take: Within one year any concept of democracy will be gone, replaced by either an Iranian type theocracy of a military government.
 

THE CONGRESS

DEFUNDING PLANNED PARENTHOOD - Republicans in the House are finally going to try to stop tax funding for the largest abortion mill operator, Planned Parenthood. For decades the federal government has handed Planned Parenthood millions of tax dollars despite the fact that the majority of Americans are pro-life. The move is backed up by new videos of Planned Parenthood "counselors." who are actually commissioned salespeople, telling pimps how to get abortions for underage "sex workers." DON'T LET FCC KILL FREE SPEECH - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence (R-IN) and U.S. Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR) introduced the Broadcaster Freedom Act to prevent the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, which would suppress free speech by requiring the government to monitor political views and decide what constitute fair political discourse. "The American people cherish freedom, especially freedom of speech and of the press. Bringing back the Fairness Doctrine would amount to government control over political views expressed on the public airways," said Pence, a former broadcaster. "We must pass the Broadcaster Freedom Act and bury the Fairness Doctrine once and for all."

RELIGION AND CULTURE

"WHITE MALE" THREATENS TO BOMB MOSQUE - just a few days ago the liberal media ran the story of a "white male Vietnam veteran" who attempted to bomb a mosque in Detroit. The Islamic organization CAIR immediately issued a press release stating this proved "Islamaphobia." OOPS ... the man, Roger Dale Stockham, converted to Islam in an Indonesian prison and speaks fluent Arabic. He threatened to bomb the mosque because it was Shiite. Previously he had been arrested for threatening the life of President George W. Bush while he was in office. As soon as it became apparent that Stockham was a Muslim, the mainstream media dropped the story. 
SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES AND CPAC - In a full-page ad in the February 7 edition of The Washington Times, a group of conservative leaders, including William J Murray of the Religious Freedom Coalition, said they are deeply troubled by the direction of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) - which opened on February 10. LIBERAL MEDIA HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS - The current edition of The Villager, a very liberal, pro-gay, pro-Obama, pro-anything-but-America weekly in New York City seems to be having second thoughts about the Cordoba House or Park 51 or P51 or whatever it is being called now. Most Americans (but not the Villager) call the project the Ground Zero mosque because it is being built on the human remains of the victims of 9-11. In an editorial this week the Villager looks at the project differently than when it was announced:

"Nine months later, that original presentation seems like a mischaracterization, at best. At worst, it seems like nothing more than the jump-off point for a public-relations spin campaign. Suddenly left leaning journalists are coming to realize that Sharif el-Gamal, the for-profit developer with the credit problems, and party animal Imam Feisal Rauf are not exactly cut from the same cloth. Those of us who understand Islam at its core knew that the project was "murky and muddled" from the beginning because we are familiar with taqiyya. Taqiyya is the allowance in Islam for Muslims to lie to non-Muslims for the purpose of advancing Islam. INDONESIAN MOBS DESTROY CHURCHES - How often do we hear in the media about the "moderate" Muslims of Indonesia? Well, those moderate Muslims attacked Christians and destroyed several churches because a Christian accused of "blasphemy" was sentenced to only five years in jail. The crowd first attacked the Catholic Church of Saints Peter and Paul and wounded the priest. Father Saldanha was beaten by the mob, which then attacked and set fire to two Protestant churches, Bethel Church and Pantekosta Church, before terrorizing a Catholic orphanage and a hospital run by the Sisters of Providence. FREEDOM ON TRIAL IN EUROPE - Geert Wilders, the leader of the third largest political party in the Netherlands, is on trial once again for "hate speech." He is just one of many leaders in Europe facing jail for telling the truth about Islam. Sometimes they are being tried in court for simply quoting the Qur'an. "The lights are going out all over Europe, and it's because of Islam," Wilders told a packed courtroom at the beginning of his retrial, "There are no Islamic Mozarts or Bill Gates because they can't exist where there is no creative freedom. An ideology that comes from the desert can only create a desert."
