The Presidency 
The one-eyed dog lost again- Over the past three years I have heard the establishment GOP types on Capitol Hill say over and over again that a "one-eyed dog" could beat Obama. I heard this same thing back in 1995 and 1996 about getting rid of Bill Clinton. So confident was the establishment both times that they put up the proverbial establishment one-note candidate. Same song, same ending. For a challenger to overcome an incumbent, there must be real contrast. What was the contrast between Romney Care and Obama Care? Romney would not talk about social issues where the real contrast between parties is. The GOP establishment and Mitt Romney failed to understand that the nation is past the tipping point, that the majority of voters want the government to hand out money. Standing firm on social issues would have made the difference!
What next for America? - In 1797 a Scottish history professor, Dr. Alexander Tyler said: "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the people discover they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy--to be followed by a dictatorship."
Congress
The elections: So far the Republicans have lost seven House seats and three Senate seats in an election the establishment said it could not lose. More seats may be lost to recounts. Pro-life Senate candidates Todd Akin in Missouri and Richard Mourdock in Indiana were defeated by critical comments from "friends" such as George W. Bush confidante Karl Rove. Nancy Pelosi and the Islamists - During the election process, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi turned to radical Islamists to raise funds. She actually attended and spoke at a fund raiser attended by about 20 members of a Syrian dissident group and by 10 officials representing the Muslim Brotherhood as well as Hamas front groups. Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Executive Director Nihad Awad was of course present. Read more

Religion and Culture
Gay foreplay for middle School - A school district in Maine is apologizing after middle school students learned about homosexual foreplay during what was supposed to be a "Diversity Day" presentation. "I don't want my child taught heterosexual foreplay, let alone homosexual foreplay," outraged parent Kristy Howard told Fox News. Read more

Middle East: Lawyers honor murderer - The Arab Lawyers Union has awarded its highest decoration to the Palestinian woman who carried out the 2003 suicide bombing at Maxim's Restaurant in Haifa, which killed 21 and wounded 51. Read more
Tunisia: Moderate Muslims and the burning embassy - A September attack on the U.S. Embassy in Tunis left four dead, 49 injured, several buildings looted and burned out, and the black Salafi flag flying above the embassy grounds. This is the nation controlled by "moderate Muslims." Daniel Pipes exposes the myth of the "moderate Muslims." Read more
France: More Muslims than Catholics? - A survey states that 4.5% (or 1.9 million) of the French population consists of practicing Catholics. By way of comparison, 75% (or 4.5 million), of the estimated six million mostly ethnic North African and sub-Saharan Muslims in France, identify themselves as "believers," and 41% (or 2.5 million) say they are "practicing" Muslims. Simply stated there are more practicing Muslims in France than practicing Catholics. Read more
Saudi Arabia: More child brides sold into virtual slavery - An alarming rise in the number of child brides in Saudi Arabia has been reported. According to Al Roumi, a social services academic at Imam Mohammad Bin Saudi Islamic University, there have been 5,622 marriages in which the bride is under the age of 14 in the country. The report did not state if this was the number among all current marriages or if it was just the number sold into virtual slavery by their parents in 2011.
Nigeria, Pakistan, Egypt, etc. - Normally in this section I report on a few of the gruesome murders of Christians each week by Muslims. There were so many this week and they are so horrifying I just could not bring myself to write about them.

PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA AND THE RULE OF LAW - "Equal in the eyes of the law." Beginning in the 1960's liberals began their attack on this concept of the rule of law that made America a great nation morally and financially. Beginning with government job point systems that punished white men because of their sex and color, our society moved to one of special privilege that "protected" some groups and punished others. President Barack Obama has taken upon himself to bury what is left of the concept of the rule of law. Here are a few examples: ObamaCare, which he claimed would benefit all, has now issued exemptions to some very large corporations, while forcing other businesses to enter the system. Interns can no longer train in for-profit corporations, but can in government jobs. His Justice Department made it clear it will not file charges against anyone violating the voting rights of whites or orientals. The list goes on, but the difficulty of predicting which arbitrary laws will apply to which groups is destroying our economy as investors can't figure out the rules that apply to them. Hope is the casualty of the Obama war against the rule of law.
I WANT YOUR MONEY - This week my wife and I were privileged to attend a private viewing of "I want Your Money" with the producer, Ray Griggs . The movie, which is a documentary, explains the liberal concept of Utopian government and why it does not work, contrasting it with the proven success of Ronald Reagan's concept of limited government. While at times repetitive, it is funny and does make good points. This is movie that grandma and grandpa should take the grand-kids to. Younger kids will enjoy and understand the animation while older kids may learn concepts not taught in school. See trailer
OBAMA AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - Rich Daly of the National Catholic Register has written a major article on President Obama and his view of religious freedom. The article, "Where is Obama on Religious Freedom?" cites his refusal to confront Islamic domination of religious minorities and the Islamic push to force Western nations to enforce blasphemy laws. The article quotes me and uses the Religious Freedom Coalition as a reference.

THE CONGRESS 

CONGRESS ADJOURNED - The House and Senate have now both officially adjourned until after the November 2nd election.  
WHAT WILL HAPPEN NOVEMBER 2ND? - Virtually all polls show that Republicans have momentum and will retake the House in November; however, there is no clear victory in the Senate where Republicans would have to pick up ten seats for a majority. If the Republicans win nine and there is a 50-50 split, Vice President Biden will have to spend a good deal of time in the Senate chamber to cast a deciding vote in favor of the Obama agenda. CULTURE AND RELIGION 

50% OF DEBT FOREIGN OWNED? - The official chart issued by the Department of the Treasury shows that 50% of the debt issued by our government is "foreign owned," but is that true? Note the small slice in the pie for the Middle East. do you believe for a second that this is correct? Of course not. While China owns US bonds directly, many of the Saudi princes own US bonds and other debt instruments through hedge funds that are incorporated in the United States. Much of the Saudi ownership of our debt is shown as "domestic." We owe so much to so many that recovery is virtually impossible.  
CARTOON FEAR STRIKES NEWSPAPERS IN US - The Non Sequitur" comic strip by Wiley Miller has won many awards and appears in hundreds of newspapers." But when Miller did a take off on "find Waldo" called "find Mohamed," major newspapers dropped the strip out of fear. Miller said that editors, "... didn't see the satire was on them, of being petrified to run anything related to him (Mohamed)." There was no actual depiction of Mohamed in the strip. THE IMAM SLUM LORD Imam Rauf and his financial travails make little news in the mainstream media, but if he were anyone else his scandals would be front page news. New Jersey has sued the imam slum lord for failing to provide fire alarms and as many as 200 other violations. Rauf received huge sums in government support and still faced foreclosure on buildings. PLUS ... The State Department has been sued for information on its financial relationship with the slum lord imam. INTERNATIONAL 

IRAN ARRESTS MORE IN STONING CASE - Iran arrested two foreigners for interviewing the son of a woman facing execution by stoning. Iran will not give the nationality or even sex of the two, but claims they have links with "anti-revolution" groups. Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said that the two posed as reporters and were "preparing a report" on their meeting with the family of Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani. Ashtiani is facing death by stoning, on trumped up charges in Iran. Her attorney has also been arrested as punishment for bringing the brutality of the Iranian government to the attention of "foreigners."  
MAHMOUND ANUTCASE TAUNTS ISRAEL AT BORDER - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a threat to world peace and may bring the world to war in the same time frame of his dictatorship as did Adolph Hitler. He is also a man that President Obama wants "dialog" with. This week he stood at a border crossing in Lebanon, in sight of Israel, and incited tens of thousands of rallying Hezbollah supporters, calling for the destruction of "the Zionists." Mr. Ahmadinejad cried out to the rally, "The world should know that Zionists will perish!" Iran has heavily armed Hezbollah in the last few years. The United States has also furnished Lebanon with war supplies and funds that have in turn been turned against Israel as well.

The Borrower is the Servant of the Lender

A single verse of Old Testament Scripture explains the current turmoil of the Western financial markets: The Rich rule over the poor, And the borrower is the servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7

The biggest concern of the Congress and the Bush Administration during the current financial crisis is to save the investments of the Chinese, the Japanese, the Saudis and other foreigners. Undersecretary of the Treasury, David McCormich actually called foreign investors to assure them that bonds issued to them by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac would be honored before the government took over those mortgage companies. When the government took over the two firms, the American stock holders including those with preferred shares lost all their money. Meanwhile the Japanese, Chinese and Saudis got every dime they had invested in those institutions guaranteed for repayment. That has been repeated in virtually every government takeover this year, including that of Washington Mutual.

Why? The trade imbalance is so great because of imports from China and oil from the Middle East, that the only way to attract dollars back to the USA is to borrow them. The reality is that the Iraq war debt along with most of the funds to bail out Wall Street is money borrowed from the dictators of China and the Islamic royalty of Saudi Arabia. Without money borrowed from them, the Treasury would have to print huge sums of money and cause such inflation that our economy would collapse.

This problem would not exist if the Democrats had allowed drilling for oil and expanded coal mining here at home. In North America, we have more energy reserves than do the Saudis. It is just that liberals and environmentalists have blocked obtaining that energy. As a result we are transferring the wealth of our nation overseas in exchange for energy. As an example, the largest deposits of uranium in the world are in Virginia, but it is against the law to mine it. No new nuclear plants have been authorized in the United States for decades.

The Democrat controlled Congress voted to allow offshore drilling for oil a short time ago as the anger of the American people rose with the cost of energy. Unfortunately the bill is just a farce based on lies. Radical Nancy Pelosi, who controls the House, presented a 243 page bill to congressmen just a few hours before scheduling a vote. It allowed drilling for oil from 50 to 100 miles offshore. No oil company will buy a lease or drill there, because 90% of the oil is within 50 miles of the shore. Also, the bill still forbids any drilling at all off the coasts of California and Florida where most of the oil actually is located. At the same time, the bill raised taxes on energy so that the heating bill of every American would go up this winter if it is passed into law.

It gets worse: American individuals and companies have $13.5 trillion invested overseas because of the high tax rates on business here in the U.S. Our government taxes corporations at the second highest rate in the world, so they simply build their factories overseas. If the tax rate were lowered and the $13.5 trillion were moved back to the U.S., the amount borrowed from the Saudis and the Chinese to finance everything from the Iraq war to home construction would decrease.

Senator Barack Obama has an answer to all of this. Unfortunately it is the same as the answer San Francisco radical Nancy Pelosi has -- raise taxes even higher on corporations and investors. Gov. Mike Huckabee had an interesting comment on the Pelosi-Obama tax increases. He pointed out that corporations don’t pay taxes, just collect them. If an oil company is taxed another 10 cents for every gallon of gas it sells, it simply charges the customer 10 cents more per gallon. There is really no such thing as a “corporate tax” because the corporations see the tax as a business cost and pass it on to the consumers. The Pelosi - Obama tax increases are really just inflation drivers that will make our paychecks worth less.

Our debt, created by liberals, now drives our foreign policy.

THE PRESIDENCY

MCCAIN WAY OUTSIDE THE BOX-Several weeks ago I discounted Gov. Sarah Palin as Senator McCain's pick for at my PAC site. Although she is very pro-life and a social conservative I had dismissed her for what I thought were some very petty acts while in office. Also, I just didn't think John McCain could think this far out of the box and that he would pick, like Barack Obama did, a fellow Senator. The pick of a true social conservative changes the entire dynamic of the campaign. Media bio of Palin

OBAMA CONTINUES TO DISPLAY EGO - I believe filling a stadium with 84,000 cheering fans, reminiscent of a Nazi rally in the 1930's, was a huge mistake for Senator Barack Obama. He continues to play the roll of rock star, but the luster is wearing off as voters start to look past the "Wow, a black guy for president!" feeling and start looking at what he actually believes. For example, Barack Obama is so extreme on abortion that in the Illinois legislature he voted to allow doctors to kill. Then there is that ego that went along with the Greek temple motif at the stadium. This was not a good night for the Democrats, even some of them agree. Read more

PELOSI SAYS CATHOLIC HISTORY IS PRO-ABORTION - Last week House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was quoting a non-existent Scripture from the Old Testament, and she said that God had blessed America with Barack Obama. This week she is telling Catholic Bishops that they are wrong and that the Church was pro-abortion in the past. This has caused public outrage among Catholic Bishops who have now publicly reprimanded Pelosi for her remarks. Read more For another good article on Pelosi's theology, read here.

HINDUS ATTACK, KILL CHRISTIANS - At least 30 Christians were killed and 750 homes burned to the ground by Hindu extremists in India. Christians have asked the Indian government to send troops to stop the violence, and Christian schools across India have closed in protest. Oddly, the Hindus began the attacks on Christians after one of their local leaders was killed by a band of communist guerillas.
