THE PRESIDENCY

MAN CAUSED DISASTERS? - In an interview with a German magazine, Homeland Security boss Janet Napolitano said, "... I did not use the word 'terrorism,' I referred to 'man-caused disasters'." And she continued, "That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur." Napolitano may be in way over her head and not intellectually capable of handling her job, but in this absurd statement she is not demonstrating just her own opinions. She is reflecting the views of her boss, President Barack Obama. The school yard bully is a good observer. He does not beat up the strong and take their lunch money; no, he targets the weak. Obama and his failed security chief are sending a message to the bullies, which in this case are Islamic terrorists. Meanwhile, Michael Leiter, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, stayed on the ski slopes during the attempted Christmas Day jihad attack in Detroit. He stayed on vacation and did not return to Washington until several days after the attempted bombing of the aircraft. SOMETIMES BLAMING BUSH IS APPROPRIATE - As bad as Obama may be in dealing with the threats against our nation, the politically correct approach to Islamic jihad began with George W. Bush. His constant references to Islam as a religion of peace, and the fact that he allowed hundreds of thousands of Muslims to legally enter the United States even as he turned his back on Christian refugees from Iraq and other Muslim nations, set the stage for domestic attacks. Nadir Hasan, the Ft. Hood jihadist, was educated and promoted by the US Army under the watch of George W. Bush. While Obama's weakness has triggered more terror, some of the seeds were planted on our soil by Bush.
MY HEART BURNS FOR JIHAD - "My heart burns to ashes because of my love for jihad." Those are the words of the medical doctor who blew himself up and killed seven CIA employees and injured even more in Afghanistan this month. Dr. Abu Dajana Al-Khorasani was a Jordanian whom the CIA believed they had recruited to work for them. Did they not read his wife's books on Jihad? Did they not know that his wife had translated an anti-Western book written by Saddam Hussein? Why was this man not even searched as he entered a US military base? The answer of course is the poison of political correctness, from the White House through the CIA all the way to the graveyard. Had Al-Khorasani been an Iraqi Christian refugee, he would have been strip searched. The dead doctor is now a Jihadist hero whose posthumous article on his love of Jihad and hatred for America is appearing throughout the "Islamic world." Read the killer doctor's article.
OBAMA'S FIRST TRANSGENDER APPOINTEE? - Presidential appointee Amanda Simpson began working this week as senior technical adviser in the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security. Known as "Mitch" before a sex change operation, Simpson worked at Raytheon's missile division. He/she also won the Democratic primary for a congressional seat in Arizona in 2004 but lost in the general election. Although it is believed that this is Obama's first "transgender" appointee, no one can be really sure.

THE CONGRESS

HOUSE AND SENATE IN RECESS - The House and Senate have been in recess for Christmas and New Year's Day. The House will reconvene on Tuesday, January 12th. The Senate will not reconvene until Tuesday the 19th which is the day after Martin Luther King Day.  
SECRETLY MEETING EVEN IN RECESS - Even though the House and Senate are officially in recess, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are holding secret meetings on Capitol Hill to reconcile the House and Senate versions of Obama's "Health care reform" bill. Although rules call for a "conference committee" to reconcile differences in House and Senate bills, that will not happen in this case because Republicans would have to be a part of the negotiations. The meetings are at secret times, at secret locations and even the negotiators' names are not being released. Watch the video of Barack Obama claiming that his "health care" bill would be "transparent" and that all negotiations would be on CPSAN.
MAYO CLINIC SAYS NO TO MEDICARE - Barack Obama has pointed out the Mayo Clinic as an example of how medical care in the United States should be. In reality, Congress has voted such low reimbursement for Medicare that the Mayo Clinic has had to limit Medicare patients. Last year Mayo Clinic lost $830 million on Medicare. BUT ... Senator Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi have stripped another half a trillion dollars from Medicare and will lower reimbursement about 21% from what it is now. HEROIN USE FOR DUMMIES - New York City has produced a comic book for free distribution with instructions on how to properly and "safely" inject heroin. The city spent $32,000 to print 72,000 of the "guides." The distribution program has been criticized by virtually all authorities on drug use, but Mayor Bloomberg continues to defend the expense to taxpayers.

Oddly, Osama Bin Laden uses examples in our society such as heroin use as reasons for jidhad. He and other jihadists proclaim that the United States is a godless Satan that must be destroyed.  
ISLAMBERG A GHOST TOWN? - Dr. Paul L. Williams reported in Jihad Watch that Islamberg, New York has become a near ghost town. The young men who once studied Jihad and weapons training at Islamberg and other Muslim only villages in the United States have vanished. The town's underground bunkers and underground firing ranges seem to be going unused. Have the jihadists gone to Afghanistan or Yemen for advanced weapons training, or are they still in the United States? No one is sure and authorities, fearful of accusations of "profiling," make it clear they do not monitor the activities in Muslim only towns. Read more

MORE CHRISTIANS KILLED IN EGYPT - Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas on January, 7th. Muslims chose that day to open fire on Christians as they left Christmas services in Nagaa Hammadi. Six Christians were killed and seven others wounded, two severely. The killings came after a film was shown on international TV exposing the rapes of young Christians girls by adult Muslim men. In reprisal the Christians were murdered for a rumored rape of a Muslim that was never reported to police. Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA'S RESPONSE TO JIHAD ATTACK: After learning that it was a Muslim who killed thirteen and wounded another thirty at Ft. Hood, President Obama said, "We don't know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts." 

ALLAH AKBAR - Why was a Muslim who had openly stated that Islamic suicide bombings were justified, allowed to continue his commission as a Major in the United States Army? The short answer is the political correctness of both the George W. Bush and Barack Obama Administrations. Both Administrations have wanted Muslims in high positions in the military and government, to prove to the "Muslim world" that we don't discriminate. (NOTE: If an officer in the Saudi army were discovered to be a Christian he would first be beheaded and then his body would be crucified for display in a public square.) In reality Muslim leaders don't care about our political correctness, just world domination. Meanwhile Barack Obama continues to appoint Muslims to posts in Homeland Security.
WHAT OBAMA DOESN'T UNDERSTAND - On the first anniversary of his election, President Barack Obama still does not understand that Americas did not vote for him because they wanted to "fundamentally change America." He and radical leftist Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi both believe in their hearts that they were given a mandate to turn the United States into a socialist "utopia." Insiders in the White House say Obama has been "stunned" that there is so much resistance to his plans to raise fuel and energy prices as a means of "saving the planet," and so much resistance to creating a socialistic health care system. The real problem ... rich liberals like Obama and Pelosi live inside a fantasy, believing that everyone can somehow have all the comforts they have as millionaires, but furnished by the government rather than by hard work. (After all, neither Obama nor Pelosi ever had a real job before being elected to public office). The Obama-Pelosi logic has the same fatal flaw as did that of Karl Marx. In order for their Utopian fantasy to work, there must be unlimited resources that do not require rationing.
OBAMA JUDGE SAYS YES TO ALLAH, NO TO JESUS - President Obama has nominated an extreme radical secularist, Judge David Hamilton, to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Hamilton has prreviously ruled that it was illegal to call upon the name of Jesus in a public prayer, but legal to pray using the name of Allah in the Indiana Legislature. His ruling in Hinrichs v. Bosma was overturned. But now President Obama wants Hamilton promoted to the very court that overruled him. Judge Hamilton is pro-abortion and follows the liberal secular line against everything the Founders of this nation believed in. Currently his nomination is being blocked by Senators Inhofe and Sessions. Contact your Senator and let him know your feelings about promoting this radical to the 7th Circuit Court.

THE CONGRESS

AARP BETS ON PELOSI - The seniors' group, AARP, has endorsed the Pelosi "health care reform" bill that would cut half a trillion dollars from Medicare. So why would AARP want to reduce the payments made by Medicare to the health of seniors? OOPS .... I almost forgot that AARP sells insurance that fills the gaps of what Medicare does not pay. The less Medicare pays, the more "gap" insurance AARP gets to sell. Last year the organization sold over a billion dollars in insurance to seniors. BUT ... can AARP trust Pelosi? Can AARP officials be sure that the next move by the Obama-Pelosi Utopians will not be to eliminate the insurance that AARP sells as well? 

PELOSI'S HEALTH (ABORTION) BILL - Just yesterday 12 pro-lifers, out of a group of 150, were arrested at Nancy Pelosi's office at #235 Cannon office building. (She also has an office in the Capitol Building that protesters could not get to.) The group had two complete copies of the bill - all 2,000 pages which they ripped up page by page. Congressman Mike Pence urged an up or down vote on abortion funding in the "health reform" bill. See statement. Meanwhile thousands more gathered on the steps of the Capitol answering an "Emergency House Call" by Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN). A vote on Pelosi's bill, which is now even more than 2,000 pages, will come sometime tomorrow (Saturday, November 7th) Voice your opinion, contact your congressman today.
MIKE PENCE SPEAKS OUT - Congressman Mike Pence (R-IN) has reached a maturity in Congress that I can only wish other congressmen would achieve. GOP leaders such as Minority Leader John Boehner care about power. Congressman Pence is a true believer in the American people and the American dream. He trusts the people, not the government. CULTURE AND RELIGION

ALLAH AKBAR 2 - I was in my vehicle listening to FOX News on satellite radio when the first news of the shootings at Fort Hood came in. I knew immediately the shooter was a nutty Muslim by the nature of the act, as did everyone else who was listening. The FOX reaction by Shepard Smith was to immediately blame a returning solider with "post traumatic stress syndrome." I flipped to CNN where Ft. Hood was being depicted as a murderous place. The CNN commentator cited as her proof a murder at a drunken party last year and a murder-suicide in a love triangle several years ago. The AP story dispatched for Friday morning's newspapers did not mention that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was a Muslim until paragraph 14 of the story. The first edition of the Wall Street Journal mentioned the killer's name, but managed to not once mention that he was a Muslim or that he shouted "Allah Akbar" before killing 13 people and wounding 30 more. As time moved on and more facts emerged, it became difficult for the media to ignore that the acts of Hasan sprang from his Islamic roots. My short analysis: Hasan wanted the Army to pay for his medical degree, but he wanted to serve Allah, not the United States of America. The best way for him to serve Allah, of course, was to kill infidels.  

MARRIAGE WINS AGAIN - Even the New York Times called it "a stinging setback for the national gay-rights movement." Voters in the state of Maine stopped their liberal legislature from allowing same sex marriage in Maine, thus becoming the 31st state to vote to preserve marriage as an institution between one man and one woman. The vote came in the "liberal" Northeast where several states including Massachusetts have legalized same sex marriage. In states where same sex marriage is allowed, the voters were not allowed to decide. In most states that have same-sex marriage, it was ordered by the courts. It is likely that if a vote were allowed, the gay agenda would even lose in Massachusetts despite the very open homosexuality of Congressman Barney Frank.
PLANNED PARENTHOOD WORKER SAW ENOUGH - Abby Johnson escorted women from their cars to a Planned Parenthood clinic where she volunteered and worked for eight years. Then, this September she watched a fetus "crumple" as it was vacuumed out of a patient's uterus. Now she urges women not to abort their babies. As her spiritual eyes were opened, she also understood that Planned Parenthood was really about making big money off of abortions. Read more

INTERNATIONAL

IRANIAN CHRISTIANS STILL IN PRISON - Back in April I reported on Maryam Rostampour and Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad who have been in the prison in Iran since March 5, because they would not renounce their faith in Jesus. When they once again refused to renounce their faith at an August hearing, they were put back in prison until October 7th to "think about it." During the last hearing they once again refused to renounce Jesus and are still being held on a charge of "apostasy" and of "promoting the Christian faith." President Barack Obama promotes a "dialogue" with this repressive state that violates human rights and has refused to comment on mass arrests and detentions in Iran stating that it was an "internal matter." Meanwhile Israel intercepted a shipment of 500 tons of missiles and other arms shipped from Iran to the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. The missiles were to be used against Israeli civilians in a future attack. 

IRAGI CHRISTIAN REFUGEES - The persecution of our brothers and sisters in Christ who fled Iraq has gotten worse since our troops left the cities. Rather than Christians returning to Iraq, more are making their way to Jordan and Syria. Our ministry is barred from operating in Syria, but our feeding and medical program continues in Jordan. A third shipment of medical supplies has been delivered, and last week we funded our feeding program in Amman for another three months. Your help is still needed.
SPECIAL IRAQI UPDATE - Our ministry partner from Jordan will be in Washington, DC in November, and arrangements have been made to visit several congressional offices. We will also prepare a large shipment of medical supplies to be sent back to the clinic we support in Jordan, enough to last through November and December. Please help financially with these projects.
