PATRIOT'S BIBLE - USA Today and other newspapers this week featured a new Patriot's Bible published by Thomas Nelson. THE PRESIDENCY

OBAMA THE "GAY CHAMPION" - He actually said it. The president of the United States of America welcomed a group of about one hundred homosexual extremists into the White House on June 30, 2009. During Obama's remarks he said, "I will not only be your friend, I will continue to be an ally and a champion and a president who fights with you and for you." Read FOX news story. Please keep in mind that groups that represent Bible believing Christians are no longer welcome at the White House.

HUCK-PAC AND OBAMA - Governor Mike Huckabee founded a very active political action committee after he ended his run for president last year. This week he featured in the blog section my op-ed on President Barack Obama, who declared June as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Pride Month. Read Op-ed here

WASHINGTON POST SELLS ACCESS TO WHITE HOUSE - Not much about the Obama White House surprises me any more, but when the Washington Post offered to sell access to high level White House officials for fees ranging from $25,000 to $250,000, I was surprised. The offer was in a flyer circulated to health care lobbyists this past Wednesday. One of the lobbyists was so embarrassed by the invitation to the home of the publisher of the Washington Post that he handed the flyer over to Politico.com. Think about the implications ... a national newspaper asking for money from lobbyists in return for private access to high level members of the Obama Administration. Read more (Update ... ADAMS ON THE 4th OF JULY - From John Quincy Adams' oration on July 4th, 1837: "Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? RANDY FORBES ON AMERICA'S FOUNDING - Congressman Randy Forbes, on the floor of the House, delivered an answer to Barack Obama's assertion that the United States was not a Judeo-Christian nation. GAY DUKE PROFESSOR RAPES SON ON-LINE - Duke University's openly-gay professor, Frank Lombard, forced his adopted son to give him oral sex while other homosexuals watched. He then offered the boy's sexual services to others using the Internet. Although this made headlines for a day or two because he is a professor at Duke, the behavior is not that unusual for homosexuals. Lombard's molestation fits the pattern that emerged in the latest review of the scientific literature about gay fathers. Read more

KIDS SOLD TO BECOME HUMAN BOMBS - In Pakistan, Muslim families sell their children to the Taliban to be used as suicide bombers for $7,000 to $14,000 each. This is a huge sum of money in a nation where the per-capita income is less than $3,000 a year. Pakistan's top Taliban leader, Baitullah Mehsud, buys children as young as 7 to serve as suicide bombers. Although this is hard for Christians to understand, keep in mind that the Muslim parents believe the male children will go to heaven in return for killing others, and there they will receive sex from 72 perpetual virgins plus all the alcohol and food they can consume. The families view this as a win-win situation: they get a huge sum of money, and their 7 year-old son gets sex in heaven for eternity.

CHRISTIAN YOUTH CAMP IN JORDAN NEEDS WATER - There is a Christian camp for youth in Jordan, which is one of the few Middle Eastern nations that still has a sizable Christian population. I cannot name the camp here, or tell about its location. I can tell you that because of the nature of the geography of Jordan, water must be trucked in each day to the camp. Every week there is a new group of about 200 kids who come to the camp from various churches. During the course of the summer thousands of young people from kindergarten through high school will attend Vacation Bible School at the camp. This summer the water will cost $5,000 to purchase and truck into the camp. Last week we received about $1,000 from Internet donations, and that was immediately sent to the camp.
