Why Israel, why now? - That is the question of many professional Middle Eastern experts as they watch President Obama's trip to Israel unfold. He and Prime Minister Netanyahu seem to be lavishing praise on each other, although it is widley known the two men detest each other. My guess: Obama will promise future support for Israel in return for putting the Muslim Brotherhood in charge not only in Syria but in Jordan as well.
Obama to Israeli youth -Pretend you are Palestinians - These were Obama's exact words to Israeli college students: ""Put yourself in their shoes - look at the world through their eyes. It is not fair that a Palestinian child cannot grow up in a state of her own, and lives with the presence of a foreign army that controls the movements of her parents every single day." Note that he called the Israel Army presence in Samaria "foreign."
Great Green Con - Global warming is not normally an issue for this update, but it sure is an issue for President Barack Obama who wants to spend trillions of taxpayers dollars to save the planet from getting warmer - OOPS - there seems to be a problem. The Earth is not warming as predicted by the gloomsters. Read more

Jewish Senator supports jihadists in Syria - Armed Services Chairman Carl Levin, who is Jewish, has joined Senator John McCain in calling on Obama to bomb airports in Syria to help establish yet another Islamist state on the border of Israel. Strangely, the two Senators used a chemical attack by the Islamists on Syrian government troops as a reason to bomb the Syrian government troops.
Conservative Senators offer Pro-life legislation - Florida Senator Marco Rubio is offering the "Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act." This will require that an abortionist, before performing an abortion on a minor from another state, must first notify one parent, unless the minor is the victim of sexual abuse or faces a life-endangering emergency. Other pro-life amendments to budget bills were offered by Senators Mike Lee and David Vitter. Read more
No tax dollars for jihadists - The Religious Freedom Coalition has begun an online petition asking congressmen to speak out against any funding, military or otherwise, to jihadists anywhere in the world. The petition comes at a time the Obama Administration is furnishing CIA help as well as cash and "humanitarian" aid to jihadists fighting the secular government of Syria. Provide your name and zip code, and a copy of the petition will be faxed to your congressman free of charge. See petition here.
Using the Fax Congress system - The new system we are using to fax congressmen works, it's free, and it really helps me when I call congressional offices. E-mail addresses are NOT collected unless a box is checked for this weekly update from the Hill. I have received complaints that the system has too many steps and asks for too much information ... We must guard against sending anonymous faxes to congressmen. We must be able to prove that the fax you send is from a real person in his district. If we don't have the safeguards in place the faxes go in the trash. The information collected is confidential and not sold.

Is US foreign aid to Egypt a "jizya?" - In sharia law, jizya refers either to tribute paid by non-Muslim nations to ward off jihad attack, or to a head tax paid by conquered non-Muslim adult males living under Islamic conditions. Islamic scholar Dr. Mark Durie asks if the current foreign aid to Islamic nations is not in fact a payment of tribute or jizya. Read more
Lesbian parenthood and drinking - The American Pediatric Society made a statement approving of same-sex marriage saying the outcome for children is no different than for those raised in normal homes. Meanwhile the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded $2.7 million to study why lesbians are at a higher "risk for hazardous drinking." This follows another study to learn why most lesbians are obese. Dysfunctional is dysfunctional, and same-sex relationships are as dysfunctional as hazardous drinking and eating.

U. S. supports jihadists now? - Less than 12 years after the devastating jihad attack on 9-11 that left thousands dead and our nation in shock, the Obama Administration is openly supporting radical Islamists in overthrowing secular governments in the Middle East. As I pointed out in my current WND.COM column Obama was not, unfortunately, the first president to support jihadists. Still, the post 9-11 support of Islamists should at least cause some in the media to a least ask questions, but that has not happened.
Obama wants removal of "right to life" from UN declaration - It is disturbing to learn that the U.S. delegation to the UN Commission on the Status of Women is calling for deleting a reaffirmation that every human being has the "inherent right to life, liberty and security of persons." This contradicts a foundational principle of citizens and civilizations worldwide. As chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition I signed a group letter letter to Secretary of State Kerry demanding that this outrageous position be changed.
The White House and Saudi persecution of Christians - In the last two weeks I have written a column for WND.COM and appeared on radio shows including Mike Huckabee's national show to expose the persecution of African Christians who are guest workers in Saudi Arabia. I have posted stories on Facebook that have had thousands of visits. I placed an online petition asking congressmen to speak out against the Saudi persecution of Christians. That petition can be faxed for free to your congressman if you will sign it. The net result of my two weeks of work is 14 people who have contacted their congressman. I am flat out ashamed at the response and embarrassed to actually show up at a congressman's office claiming I have support from the American Christian community to stop the persecution and torture of Christians in Saudi Arabia. No wonder Barack Obama is so confident of his support for the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia.

GOP Senator supports same-sex marriage now that son is "gay" - Senator Portman (R-OH) has given up his previously stated core beliefs and the position of his church to support same-sex marriage because he has a homosexual son. Homosexual sex is ultimately just as destructive as cocaine use. Would Portman suddenly call for the legalization of cocaine if his son had announced that he was a cocaine addict? Read more

Provide your name and zip code, and a copy of the petition will be faxed to your congressman free of charge. See petition here.
Senator may help Christians in Saudi Arabia - This week I spoke to a Senator at length about the continued arrests and torture of guest workers in Saudi Arabia who are Christians. Money for Muslim Brotherhood but none for White House tours - Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has his own personal piggy bank for his totalitarian Islamist goals in the Middle East. The Sequester Scare part 2- At midnight last night the sequester took effect, and the United States did not collapse as President Obama said it would. The military has not been shut down and there are no five hour delays at airports. Obama even released hundreds of convicted felons illegally in the United States to scare the American people into backing his tax increases. None of it worked. Why? There are no real cuts in spending in the sequester. The cuts were made only to the proposed increases in spending for 2012.
Direct aid to terrorists - Unhappy that the black flag of jihad is not flying over Damascus, the Obama Administration is now considering direct military aid to the two year old jihadist rebellion against the secular government of Syria. Obama claims the "sequester" has destroyed the readiness of our military, but at the same time says he can somehow find tens of millions of dollars to arm the "rebels" in Syria who are trying to overthrow the secular government there.
See no Saudi evil - Last week I reported on the arrests of 53 Ethiopian Christians in Saudi Arabia for the "crime" of praying in private. The White House seems to approve of the arrests of the Christians, while condemning the arrest of an anarchist band in Russia after they defiled the altar of a church. I wrote a lengthy op-ed on the Administration's support of intolerance and evil in Saudi Arabia which has appeared in several places including WND.COM. See my column here

Obama and the Saudi royals - There was no condemnation from the White House of the arrest of 53 Ethiopian Christians for praying in a private home in Saudi Arabia. No Senators expressed "outrage." In contrast, there was universal condemnation by our government and press when naked lesbians in Russia were arrested for demonstrating on the steps of an Orthodox Church. Obama "not involved" during Benghazi attack - The White House told the public that President Obama was in touch and intently watching the situation in Benghazi, Libya as our Ambassador and three others died. But in sworn testimony this week, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said that Obama was absent on the evening of September 11, 2012. The Presidency
CIA specialist: Democracy will make Islam moderate - The featured column in the Wall Street Journal by former CIA Middle East specialist Reuel Marc Gerecht this week was pure establishment boilerplate, and no surprise. His conclusion was simplistic: Democracy diminished religious influence in the West; therefore, creating democracies in Muslim nations will lead to a weakened, moderate form of Islam. This is the kind of "expert" advice that led George W. Bush into disaster in Iraq, and encouraged Barack Obama to usher the Muslim Brotherhood into Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, with an even worse outcome. In a lengthy column at WND, I responded to Gerecht's ludicrous assertions. See my column here
Obama says nothing about deaths in Egypt - in the last days of President Mubarak's secular government, dozens of protesters died in riots. President Obama was quick to ridicule the Egyptian leader and said he had to go. Now that Obama's Muslim Brotherhood buddy, Mohammed Morsi, has declared martial law and the death toll is almost the White House is strangely silent.
Congress
House out, but Senate in - The House is in "District work session" which means they are either back home in their state offices dealing with constituents, or out fund raising for reelection. Harry Reid's Senate is in session in Washington this week working on "immigration reform."
Legalizing the illegals - Senators Harry Reid, John McCain and a couple others have a bipartisan "comprehensive immigration" bill that most Republicans seem ready to accept. The bill has nothing to do with immigration but rather gives legal status to those who are now here illegally. It does nothing to bring well educated, English speaking workers to our nation. However - those needing good nannies or Russian girl friends should fly them in soon, so they will have legal status when the bill is signed into law.

Educating Sean Hannity on the Koran- Sean Hannity has gone after Egyptian President Morsi's anti-Semitic comments for several days on Fox News, but never refers to Morsi source material which is the Koran. Dr. Andrew Bostom attempts to educate Hannity in a well referenced column as to the source of the hatred toward Jews - the Koran. Read Bostom's column here.
Muslim prayers in public school library - In Maryland, the Muslim Brotherhood-founded Muslim Student Association is now on high school campuses, performing dawah and spreading sharia. One of their victories, with the help of terror-linked CAIR, is convincing the school to use the library as a mosque for daily prayers. Read more

Afghanistan: Six-year-old girl sold to pay debts - This is happening under the watchful eye of our military on a regular basis. (But so does the drug running.) A poor family unable to pay their debts has sold their six-year-old daughter to a relative for marriage to a boy ten years her senior. You will not hear a word about this outrage from the National Organization for Women (NOW) or other liberals because they only bash Christianity, never Islamic traditions. Read more
