Obama created Syrian nightmare - Experts are referring to areas held by Obama's rebels as "the new cauldron for hatching terrorist strikes in the West." A bleak, well researched report in the Washington Times shows a hub of Islamic terror growing stronger every day in areas held by the forces supported by President Obama and Senator John McCain. Obama Army exposed for smearing Christian groups - Last week soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas were warned about giving money to evangelical groups or to Tea Party groups. They were told they could receive military punishment for doing so. This occurred on the same base where Nidal Hasan killed 13 soldiers and an unborn baby and wounded dozens more - and his actions were labeled "workplace violence" - even as he shouted praise to Allah. Pro-gay agenda activist takes over Homeland Security - President Obama has picked Department of Defense lawyer - Jeh Johnson - to run the massive Department of Homeland Security. In case Jeh Johnson's name isn't familiar to you, he's one of the primary architects behind the repeal of the ban on homosexuals serving openly in the U.S. Armed Forces. Read more

Senators demand response to persecution of Christians - In a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry, U.S. Senators Roy Blunt (MO), Bob Corker (TN.) and Lamar Alexander (TN) said recent reports of more frequent, targeted attacks against Coptic churches and individuals in Egypt "warrants a clear U.S. response." Congressman wants abortion coverage disclosed - Congressman Chris Smith (R) has more than 100 co-sponsors for H.R. 3279, the Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act. If passed into law it would force companies to disclose to those buying insurance if they were paying for coverage of abortions. Read more

World Council of Churches ignores persecuted Christians - Would the world, let alone Middle East Christians, be better off without the World Council of Churches (WCC)? Why has the WCC, which claims to represent and serve 345 denominations worldwide, done nothing to help the persecuted churches in Iraq, Syria and Egypt? Read more
International Religious Freedom Day ignored? - The issue of religious persecution around the world should be front and center for our government, but clearly it's not, under Obama. In fact, it has been Obama who has been one of the key political forces in creating more religious persecution around the world and in the United States since he took office. Read more

Yemen: Muslim father burns teen daughter to death - Only a month after an eight-year old girl from Yemen died on her wedding night after suffering massive internal injuries from her 40-year-old groom, a Yemini father has been arrested for burning his 15-year-old daughter to death because she committed the "crime" of talking to her fiance before their wedding. Kenya: Muslims murder pastors - Evangelical Christians are mourning the death of two pastors who were killed on Kenya's coast over the weekend amid concerns about growing pressure on devoted believers in the African nation. Read more
Nigeria: Police in northern states enforcing Sharia on Christians - As Christians in Nigeria continue to suffer violent attacks at the hands of Islamic extremists, they are also facing official opposition as the authorities enforce an Islamist agenda in a number of states. Read more
Syria: Disgusted by the West, Christians turning to Russia for help - It is very ironic that Russia, known for its history of atheism and persecution of Christians around the world, should now be looked to as the protector of Syrian Christians. This, while the Obama Administration and other western nations are openly supporting Islamic terrorists who are seeking to kill Christians in Syria and oust President Assad. Read more

No support for Egyptian Christians from Obama / Incredible corruption centers on White House / Eric Cantor says Christians threatened / Congressman Frank Wolf, a Prisoner of Conscience / Islamic forced conversion / Public pool for Muslims only / Bloody Sunday in Cairo / Asia Bibi beaten in jail

PRESIDENCY 
NO SUPPORT FOR EGYPTIAN CHRISTIANS - President Barack Obama organized NATO airstrikes to assist Islamic rebels in overthrowing the government of Libyan strongman Moammar Gaddafi. The President was also instrumental in unseating the secular president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak. The President used very strong rhetoric when calling for an "Arab Spring" and the removal of secular leaders in several Middle Eastern nations including Yemen. Now, as one Christian church after the other is burned and as Christians lie dead in the street, murdered by police, little is heard from the White House.
INCREDIBLE CORRUPTION - The headlines don't tell it all. While the focus is on the huge amounts of money given to stalled or bankrupt "green" projects by the Obama Administration, no one is paying much attention to the actual corruption. $737 million in tax payer money was given to The SolarReserve project where Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law, Ronald Pelosi, is second in command. To top that off the project is being built just over the border from California in Senate majority Leader Harry Reid's home state. Virtually every "green" loan from the fed's in the last three years has had some connection to an Obama donor or to one of his cronies in Congress. Read more

CANTOR SAYS CHRISTIANS THREATENED - At the Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said, "The Jewish people are not the only religious minority under attack in the Middle East. Christians are under the same pressure. Since then, Cantor has made numerous statements about Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani who is facing death in Iran for converting from Islam to Christianity. Cantor said, "For us in America, it is unthinkable that someone would be put to death for their faith."
CONGRESSMAN FRANK WOLF: THE BOOK - In his new book, Prisoner of Conscience respected congressman and human and religious rights crusader Frank Wolf shows what one person can do to fight injustice and relieve suffering. In Prisoner of Conscience, Wolf shares intimate stories of his adventures from the halls of political power to other dangerous places around the world, what he has learned along the way, and what you can do as a citizen now.
CHRIS SMITH HEARINGS ON ISLAMIC SLAVERY - Yes, there is plenty of slavery in the world today and most of it is in Islamic nations. Virtually every slave brought to the United States was sold by Islamic slave traders, and they are still at work today. Chris Smith held hearings on the Christians kidnapped in the South Sudan and forced into slavery in the Islamic north just as liberal commentator Ellen Ratner returned from there. Her report on slavery there is intriguing considering that most of her fellow Liberals can find no evil at all in Islam.

RELIGION AND CULTURE
FORCED CONVERSION - Noted scholar Raymond Ibrahim reports on forced conversions in Islam, a phenomenon that has a long history with ample precedents. Indeed, from its inception, most of those who embraced Islam did so under duress and to escape death or dhimmi status, beginning with the Ridda wars and during the age of conquests. This is a simple fact. Yet, when one compares today's cases of forced conversions with those from centuries past, identical patterns emerge, demonstrating great continuity. Read more

INTERNATIONAL

ASIA BIBI TORTURED IN JAIL - Asia Bibi, a Christian mother of five who was sentenced to death on accusations of blasphemy, has been tortured in her cell according to sources. The Pakistani Christian Post reports, "One jail official attacked and tortured Asia Bibi in her high security cell and she became unconscious." There have been cases of killings of Christians accused of blasphemy and held in Sialkot, Lahore and Karachi jails, in which the victims were declared suicides by authorities. It was already feared by PCC that Asia Bibi can also be killed in jail. Read more  
BLOODY SUNDAY IN CAIRO - On October 8th Coptic Christians took to the streets in Cairo to protest the burning of the Mar Gerges Church in the Elmarenab village of Aswan. They were immediately attacked by the police and several Christians were killed. Outraged thousands of Coptic Christians took to the streets to demonstrate. The outnumbered police called in the army to kill even more Christians. At last count there were 36 Christians dead (26 according to mainstream media reports) and hundreds more injured. This is Barack Obama's "Arab Spring," a so-called peaceful revolution that has empowered in Egypt the radical Muslim Brotherhood, a group Obama's Administration calls "secular in nature." Read more

THE PRESIDENCY

FORCE DOCTORS TO DO ABORTIONS - President Barack Obama will revoke a Bush administration rule that shielded health care workers who refuse to participate in abortions because of their pro-life beliefs. The rule, issued by Bush health chief Michael Leavitt, prohibited groups that take U.S. money from firing, denying professional certification to or otherwise discriminating against medical providers who refuse to perform or assist in abortions, or give referral information. At first glace this seems like a reversal of policy; however, the Bush rule only took effect a few hours before Barack Obama was sworn into office. Why did Bush wait eight years to implement this rule? Had Bush issued the rule the first year of his Administration, it would have been very difficult for Obama to rescind it.Read more

THIS IS A STIMULUS? - Under the $787 billion Stimulus Bill, you can write off the state sales tax on a new car you buy this year. How it works: If the tax on the car is say, $750 you can deduct it from your adjusted gross income. If you are in the 25% tax bracket you would then pay $187.50 less in income tax. WOW ... just spend $25,000 on a new car and the government pays $187.50 of the cost!

MORE MONEY TO OTHER NATIONS - As bad as things are in the United States, most people would think that President Obama's new budget should focus on America. Well, it doesn't. The State Department budget, including USAID funds and other overseas aid programs, was increased by 40.9% to $51.7 billion. The Health and Human Services budget that includes Medicaid for the poor was actually reduced by President Obama by 1.7%. The Justice Department, which includes the FBI, will receive 6.3% less at a time it must investigate massive financial fraud. However, the Commerce Budget to will increase by 48.4% as a result of refocusing the department on "climate change." See graph at WSJ.com

THE CONGRESS

FAIRNESS DOCTRINE - Last week I reported that President Obama claimed he was against the return of censorship in the form of the "Fairness Doctrine." That did not stop a Democrat, Senator Durbin, from trying to add language to the DC Voting Rights Act to allow the FCC to once again censor radio. However, Senator DeMint (R-SC) introduced a competing amendment that would bar the FCC from censorship, titled the Broadcaster Freedom Act. The DeMint bill passed 87 to 11. At this point it is unknown if this will survive the House vote. Read more

HILLARY CLINTON AND THE CONGRESS - Members of Congress were appalled when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made it clear to the Chinese and others that the Obama Administration would look away from human rights abuses in order to borrow money to fund US deficit spending.

"In a shocking display of pandering, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made it clear in Beijing, that the Obama Administration has chosen to peddle U.S. debt to the largest dictatorship in the world and is willing to ignore the torture, forced abortion, forced labor, religious persecution, human sex trafficking, gendercide, and genocide," Congressman Chris Smith said. "Secretary Clinton said concern for the protection of human rights of the Chinese people can't 'interfere' with the economic crisis, climate change, and security - as if human rights were somehow disconnected and irrelevant to those issues." The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Prov. 22:7. America is the borrower. China and Saudi Arabia are the lenders.

CONGRESSMEN MOVE TO PROTECT PRO-LIFE RIDERS - Representatives Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Heath Shuler (D-NC) have obtained 180 signatures form Members of the House to the Appropriations Committee asking for protection of pro-life provisions traditionally included in the annual appropriations bills. These are contained in various appropriations bills and must be retained every year to remain in place. The provisions deal with issues such as funding for abortion, conscience protection for health care providers and embryo research. Removing any of these provisions would represent an erosion of current pro-life law. Read PDF of Jim Jordan authored letter here.

INTERNATIONAL

GEERT WILDERS IS A TRUE HERO - This week I met with Geert Wilders, a Member of the Dutch Parliament who is threatened with jail time for telling the truth about Islam and the Koran in his short film FITNA. For five years this brave man has been forced to sleep in safe-houses and sometimes jail cells because he is virtually the only politician in the West that will speak truthfully about the dangers of Islam to the West. He was invited to the United States by Senator Kyl (R-AZ) after the United Kingdom refused to allow him to accept an invitation to speak at the House of Lords. The British have become such cowards that they fear the words of free men such as Geert Wilders. (Read my op-ed on the UK and Wilders here.) This man may well be the only hope for Europe and we can only pray that his political party gains strength not only in the Netherlands but in the European Parliament as well. JORDAN WANTS TO PUNISH WILDERS - Not only is Geert Wilders under indictment for "hate speech" in the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Jordan wants him to be extradited to that nation to stand trial for "blasphemy." The punishment of course is death. The United States considers the Kingdom of Jordan to be a "moderate" Islamic State. Imams in other Islamic nations have issued Fatwas calling for the murder of Geert Wilders. The government of the Netherlands cowers in fear of their Muslim population as do other Western nations.

THE UN HATES FREEDOM - Let's get real here ... Most of the member states of the United Nations are not real democracies. The Islamic members allow the abuse of women and have virtually no free speech. Durban II is an upcoming United Nations conference to he held on "anti-racism." It appears the conference will find that Israel is racist while Saudi Arabia is just all wonderful. They will probably also declare that insulting Islam is "defamation of religion" and punishable.
