PETITION TO HILLARY CLINTON ON IRAQI CHRISTIANS - Read and sign the new Internet petition to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The petition urges Clinton to direct our embassies to assist Christians who have fled Islamic terror in Iraq. The petition is located at www.iraqichristianrefugees.org.

THE PRESIDENCY
NAPOLITANO MUST GO- After just a month or so on the job, Department of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano labeled more than half the adults in the United States as "rightwing extremists." She asked police to watch out for anyone who is pro-life, pro-second amendment rights, or anti-illegal immigration, among other things. Excuse me, but it is her job to keep illegals out of the country, not investigate those who support our immigration laws. She then falsely accused the Canadian government of allowing the 9-11 Jidad attack killers to come into the United States. Canadians are outraged and have called her incompetent.

Bottom line: Napolitano needs to go. She has spent her first few weeks on the job beginning a political witch hunt against conservatives and is now showing that she is in a job that is way above her pay grade. She just doesn't understand that her main duty is to protect the citizens of the United States. An advertising campaign, which I fully support, has begun asking for her resignation. See ad here (large file could take several minutes on dial up.)

OBAMA TO CONTROL INTERNET - A Senate bill would give President Obama authority over all networks. If the Cybersecurity Act of 2009 passes, the president will have authority to shut down Internet traffic for "national security." President Obama would also have access to digital data from industries including banking, communications and even the energy grid. Under the bill there would be a cybersecurity czar inside the White House. So far this isn't being reported much outside of business circles. If George W. Bush had sought this kind of authority the ACLU would have gone nuts. Read more

ANTI-MILITARY NUT CASE GIVEN PENTAGON POST - Is it possible that President Obama would place a person in an influential position at the Pentagon if that person once worked for George Soros and is anti-military? How about someone who thinks the media should need a government license and be financed by the government? Apparently it is possible. Rosa Brooks claimed that "failed" American policy brought about the 9-11 Jihad attacks on America, and she is Obama's new adviser to Michelle Fluornoy, the undersecretary of defense at the Pentagon. Can it get worse? Read more

PLAN B FOR EVEN YOUNGER GIRLS - The Obama Administration has approved the sale of the Plan B abortion drug to girls as young as 17 with no prescription from a doctor. The assumption: Girls this age are fully aware of their family medical history and capable of making a medical decision to use a powerful drug that will not only abort a baby but could cause them harm. While Plan B is advertised as a "morning after" pill, it can be used at a later and more dangerous time in a pregnancy in an effort to end the pregnancy without a doctor to give proper advice. Because no parental permission is required to obtain Plan B, the government policy is actually an approval stamp for promiscuous behavior. Read good article at Catholic.org

THE CONGRESS
DID REPUBLICANS WAKE UP YET? - Leadership is about much more than sending out news releases, but that is about all the the Republican leadership has done in the past three months. Finally, on the House side conservative members of Congress in the Republican Study Committee have found a common voice in expressing outrage over the Homeland Security Department being used by Janet Napolitano for political repression. Some of the letters from congressmen to Napolitano concerning her release of a report warning law enforcement agencies about "rightwing extremists" are note worthy. Read letter by Rep. Tiahrt Congressman Tom Carter of Texas said, "The first step in the process is creating unfounded public suspicion of political opponents, followed by arresting and jailing any who continue speaking against the regime." He thinks Napolitano is the leader edge for that kind of third world power play. Read more

CULTURE AND RELIGION
HARVARD CHAPLAIN APPROVES DEATH SENTENCE FOR CONVERTING FROM ISLAM - Imagine the outrage if a Christian chaplain called for even mild discipline of those who violate the tenants of Christianity. It would be on the front page of every newspaper in America. But when the Muslim chaplain at Harvard University said the death penalty was "appropriate" for those converting from Islam, the media showed no interest at all. Muslim students at Harvard who disagreed with the chaplain refused to give their names out of fear of the "Islamic community." Read more

WACKO HOMO A BEAUTY PAGEANT JUDGE? - What possible logic could there be for Donald Trump to appoint an effeminate homosexual as a judge in the Miss USA Beauty pageant? The homosexual wacko job, Perez Hilton, asked Miss California if she approved of "gay marriage" and when she said no, he went beserk, using words to describe her that cannot be reprinted here. Of the judges, two were homosexuals and one was the sister of a lesbian. Keep in mind that not even three percent of the population is homosexual. Read more. You can ask Donald Trump why homosexuals should be judges of normal heterosexual women in a beauty pageant. You may write to him at: Donald J. TALIBAN TAKE MORE OF PAKISTAN - The government of Pakistan, seeking to appease Islamic radicals who had helped orchestrate the 9-11 Jihad attack on the United States, gave these terrorists the Swat Valley. Of course appeasement never works, and soon the Taliban terrorists moved into another province just 60 miles from the Capitol. Pakistan sent in troops, and the Taliban backed off into the Swat Valley after destroying some schools. "It's a tactical move, these kinds of movements make tactical retreats," said Hasan Askari Rizvi, a military analyst based in Lahore. "They'll be back." Read more Pakistan is a nuclear nation. At the current rate, within a year the government could fall and missiles with nuclear warheads could be in the hands of Islamists who want to return the world to the sixth century.

WHITE HOUSE ORDERS RELIGIOUS SYMBOLS HIDDEN - The White House has admitted they ordered religious symbols to be covered during an Obama teleprompter event at Georgetown University. President Obama read from teleprompters at the Catholic school on Tuesday. It was obvious that tarps had been placed to hide something behind President Obama. University spokesman Andy Pino said, "In coordinating the logistical arrangements for the event, Georgetown honored the White House staff's request to cover all of the Georgetown University signage and symbols behind the Gaston Hall stage." The White House has been forced to confirm the University's account of events. Read more

WHITE HOUSE ATTACK ON CIVIL LIBERTIES - When President George W. Bush conceived the idea of a Department of Homeland Security with control of all law enforcement agencies, many of us feared what would happen if it fell into the hands of a radical Administration. Now, our fears have been realized. Not even 100 days into the Obama Administration, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano issued a directive to law enforcement agencies nationwide to watch for "rightwing extremists" and then defined these "extremists" as those concerned with illegal immigration, abortion, increasing federal power and restrictions on firearms. She later apologized for singling out veterans who have returned from Afghanistan and Iraq as possible "violent" recruits. Read more

OBAMA,CUBA AND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) canceled a trip to Cuba just hours after the White House announced that President Barack Obama had eased restrictions on money transfers and travel to Cuba. Why? Because the island dictatorship canceled their visas! The USCIRF is an official body of the government of the United States, but apparently the Obama Administration sees nothing wrong with Cuba denying entry to the group, which investigates violations of religious freedom. THE CONGRESS
CONGRESS IN RECESS - There is no mention of the "Easter Recess" at Speaker Pelosi's Internet site. There is also no mention of the break at the site of the Majority Leader nor the Majority Whip. Congress is just sort of not there, and no reason is given at all. The Whip site does not even have a return date; the calendar page is just blank. Minority Whip Eric Cantor's Internet calendar shows the two week absence as a "District Work Period, but does show the Passover and Easter dates. The recess ends on April 20th.

CULTURE AND RELIGION
GAYS WINNING AGAINST THE FAITHFUL IN COURT - The Washington Post gleefully reported that homosexuals are winning more and more legal battles against "faith groups." An article by Jacqueline L. Salmon reports on a punitive award against photographers for refusing to participate in a homosexual wedding, and another award against a doctor who refused to artificially inseminate a lesbian. COLLEGE PUNISHES STUDENTS FOR PRAYING - A California college has been sued by two students because they were reprimanded when one prayed and the other happened to be there with her. The College of Alameda made it clear to both students that no prayers were allowed on campus, not even those by students on their free time. A lawsuit has been filed in the case. Read more

SAUDI CLERIC: OK TO HATE AND KILL JEWS - Saudi cleric Khaled Al-Khlewi believes that Mohammad set a good example by killing Jews, and teaches children they should hate Jews also. These are the teachings of our "Saudi allies." The United States has supplied Saudi Arabia with our most advanced weapons including tanks, fighter jets and missiles. RFC SHIPS MORE SUPPLIES TO IRAQI CHRISTIAN REFUGEES - New Shipment of Medical Supplies! This week we have ordered a full consignment of medical supplies to be shipped to our ministry associates in Jordan for the needs of Iraqi Christian refugees. The shipment has a value of $14,000 and includes antibiotics, antihistamines, analgesics, antipyretics, anti-invectives, anthelmintics, antitussives and anti-inflammatory drugs. There are also GI medications such as Famotidine and local anesthetics such as Lidocaine. The shipment will also contain general supplies such as latex gloves, bandages and gauze.

The standard shipment contains some vitamins, but not enough. Today our ministry associate in Amman requested 10,000 more tablets of multivitamins for adults as well as 10,000 chewable animal shaped tablets for children. 10,000 tablets is enough for 333 people for 30 days.

All the supplies have been paid for except the extra vitamins which came to us as a last minute request. One bottle of 1,000 tablets of vitamins is just $14.00. We need just $280.00 to ship the extra vitamins, 10,000 for adults and 10,000 for children. To let me know that you want to specifically be responsible for one bottle of 1,000 vitamin tablets, make a donation for exactly $14.00 at http://www.rfcnet.org/donate.html

The White House reserves slots at Easter egg hunt for children of lesbians / Obama "respects" Islam / Muslim pirates thumb nose at Obama, demand money / University of Maryland says violent porn for Easter is great but prayers for commencement must stop. Maryland legislature threatens University of Maryland over triple X porn show.

WHITE HOUSE EASTER "INCLUSIVE" - Did homosexual and lesbian parents participate with their children in Easter egg hunts at the White House during the Bush Administration? Yes ... but the numbers are not known because there was no requirement of sexual "orientation" for a parent to bring a child. But President Barack Obama has set a quota system that will deny some children entrance into the annual Easter egg hunt at the White House because their parents are not homosexuals or lesbians. This is what liberals do not understand: setting quotas to assure representation of members of a certain group denies access to members of other groups. By setting aside a block of slots just for the children of homosexuals and lesbians, President Barack Obama has made it clear that their group is more important than all other groups of people -- blacks, Catholics, Jews, Chinese, whatever.

OBAMA'S RESPECT FOR ISLAM - At a stop in Turkey, President Barack Obama made the statement that he and America had "respect" for Islam. Unfortunately, the Islamic nations have no respect for America, for democracy or for Obama. Read this impressive analysis.

"TO THE SHORES OF TRIPOLI" - The first line of the Marine Corps Hymn talks of their first overseas battle. The Marines were sent to North Africa by President Tomas Jefferson to destroy the Muslim pirate operation that had ravaged shipping lanes for centuries. Fast forward: President Barack Obama dispatched a warship to "talk" to a group of Muslim pirates holding an American captive in a small boat that was floating and out of gas. When the captive, Captain Phillips, tried to escape, he was in the water for more than 30 minutes while the destroyer USS Bainbridge took no action to assist him. He was recaptured by the Muslim pirates.

UNIV OF MARYLAND AND PORN - A triple X- rated porn film, Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge, is scheduled to show this Easter Weekend on campus as part of an officially approved event. After Maryland state Senator Andrew Harris learned of the porn showing, which contains violence against women, and varying degrees of rape and group sex, he introduced an amendment to a spending bill that would cut off funds to the school. Because of the outrage from the community, the showing of the film was canceled. Read more

UNIV OF MARYLAND AND PRAYER - The student Senate of the University of Maryland voted to ban any prayer at the commencement service this year. The decision was made, perhaps, because those viewing porn films on campus may have their feelings hurt by prayer. Once the news of the cancellation of a commencement prayer got out, the university's president, C.D. MOTE, Jr., was forced to overrule the Senate because of the adverse publicity. Week Ending April 3, 2009 - Washington, DC

On April 1st I had surgery to remove the center lobe of the right lung. The surgery took over three hours and left me generally weak. I did not leave the hospital until Sunday, April 5th well after the update would normally have been posted. After some reflection I decided to just "let it go." This was the first week in a decade or more that I have no issued some type of legislative update. There will be one next week, I promise!
