THE PRESIDENCY
MCCAIN CALLS FOR PRO-LIFE PRESIDENCY- At the forum held at Saddleback Church, best selling Christian author Pastor Rick Warren asked Senator John McCain at what point a baby is entitled to human rights. John McCain answered: "At the moment of conception. I have a 25- year pro-life record in the Congress, in the Senate. And as president of the United States, I will be a pro-life president. And this presidency will have pro-life policies. That's my commitment. That's my commitment to you."

BUSH ADMINISTRATION ON CONSCIENCE - On Thursday the Department of Health and Human Services proposed regulations to protect the right of conscience for pro-life medical workers by requiring that recipients of federal funds verify that they are complying with the Hyde-Weldon and other conscience laws. Hyde-Weldon is an appropriations rider that prevents discrimination against physicians, health care professionals, hospitals, health insurance plans, or any other kind of health care facility, who object to abortion on the basis of "religious beliefs or moral convictions." $28,500 TO GLIMPSE "THE ONE" - Last Sunday Barack Obama collected $7.8 million at three fundraisers in San Francisco. At one event for VIPs he charged $28,500 per person to get a glimpse of him. Although I have no proof, I am told by sources that the men's and women's rest room signs at these events were changed to "Person Rest Stations." Read more

THE CONGRESS
"PREACHER" NANCY PELOSI'S SCRIPTURE- On several occasions this year Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has said, "The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, 'To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.' " However, this passage does not appear anywhere in the Old or New Testament. In fact there is nothing close enough to even paraphrase it. One Baptist scholar said it was "fictional." Pelosi's office refused to comment.

PELOSI'S DIVINE REVELATION - According to Nancy Pelosi, God has given her a revelation that He has "blessed" America with Barack Obama . Not only does Pelosi quote Scripture that does not exist, now she has word directly from God that he has chosen Barack Obama to be our leader. She also claims to be a Catholic who is pro-abortion and thinks men who practice anal sex with each other should receive marriage licenses. Read more

MUSLIMS KILL INNOCENTS WORLDWIDE THIS WEEK - The attack at the arms factory in Pakistan killed 67 workers and didn't even merit much coverage in American media outlets. Just a few days before in Pakistan, the Muslim Taliban bombed a hospital, killing 30. Earlier this week Muslim suicide bombers killed 38 innocent people at markets in Algeria. In the last week more than 100 civilians have died in bombings in Iraq. Also this week Muslims murdered civilians with bombs, grenades or guns in Thailand, Somalia, Afghanistan, Philippines, Azerbaijan, and Lebanon. Earlier in the month there were attacks in China and Germany. The total count of dead civilians by Muslim terrorists for August so far is well over 1,000 worldwide.
