THE ABORTION PRESIDENT - NBC has rejected a pro-life Super Bowl commercial that praises President Barack Obama's mother for not aborting the first African-American president. The video has risen in popularity on YouTube with nearly a million viewings. The commercial emphasized that the baby she carried was at high social risk, with a broken home, a father who would abandon him and a single mother. The commercial begins with an ultrasound image of a baby moving in his mother's womb. The ad was financed by Fidelis, a Catholic group. View ad here.
MORE ABORTION PRESIDENT - President Obama's pro-abortion agenda is being made very clear by him. Read the "reproductive choice" section of the new White House website. It states that the new President. "... has been a consistent champion of reproductive choice and will make preserving women's rights under Roe v. Wade a priority in his Administration." See site
NO NEW ROADS IN STIMULUS - Congressman Eric Cantor, the Minority Whip, stated that only 12 cents on the dollar of the $900 billion stimulus could be considered as being spent on infrastructure. Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma in his analysis said only $30 billion of the $900 billion was for roads and bridges. Where does the majority of the money go? The rest of the billions of dollars is pay-off for groups that helped elect Democrats. ACORN will get $4.9 billion. There is $2.7 billion for embryonic research which kills unborn babies for their parts; $150 billion to double the Department of Education's funding; $1.5 billion to build "green schools," and more. Almost 90% of the bill is pork to liberal groups and ideals that will not stimulate the economy.
STIMULUS COST - The "Stimulus Bill" comes at a cost of $2,700 for each man, woman and child in the United States if we all paid up this year. But our government is going to borrow this money from the Chinese and the Saudis with initial interest of $45 billion per year. Odds are that our government will never be able to pay the principle and our great great grandchildren will still be paying interest on the loans.

January 23, 2009 - Washington, DC
A final farewell to George W. / The Inauguration and the Abortion President / Can Hillary Clinton save Iraq's Christians? / State employees cheer Clinton / Jail time for "free speech" / Pledge Under God / Congressional pro-life vigil / Inaugural "Pig sex" event canceled - thanks to you! / Conservative warrior dies / and finally - Poodle attacks former French president
THE ABORTION PRESIDENT - President Barack Obama was to waste no time in rewarding the abortion industry financially for their support during the election. Undoing the "Mexico City Policy" first ordered by President Ronald Reagan he readied an order to divert foreign assistance funds to groups that promote abortion. Read more.
CLINTON JOINS OBAMA - Hillary Clinton officially entered the Obama Administration, becoming Secretary of State. She was confirmed by the Senate in a 94-2 vote with all Republicans except two voting for her. I recommended to several key Republican Senators that they vote for her confirmation to keep the doors of communication open to her. Hillary Clinton could well do more for persecuted Christians in the Middle East than did Condoleezza Rice .... IF .... The huge contributions from rich Muslims to Bill Clinton's foundation do not influence her. Employees of the State Department were so glad to see Rice leave that they lined the inside of the main entrance to cheer Clinton. Watch this incredible video!
JAIL TIME FOR SPEECH - Where is the outrage from President Barack Obama? A member of the Parliament in the Netherlands has been charged and may serve jail time for being critical of Islam. Why is there no action? The ambassador from the Netherlands should be called into the Oval Office and firmly rebuked and the President should consider suspending diplomatic relations with any Western nation that would jail a member of its own government for freely speaking his mind. CONGRESSMEN HOLD PRO-LIFE VIGIL - The night before the March for Life, conservative congressmen led by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) using a Special Order in the House, held a vigil for those lost to abortion. This floor time, made available by Republican Conference Chair Mike Pence, was used by pro-life Members of Congress to remember the tragedy of Roe v. Wade and discuss the right to life. You can watch the various speakers including Virginia Foxx (R-NC) Bob Latta (R-OH) and Paul Broun (R-GA) at this link.
POODLE ATTACKS FRENCH PRESIDENT - The liberals who pushed Barack Obama into office are internationalists who have as a goal making America more like France, where people are put into jail for criticizing Islam or homosexuals. Liberals hate free speech, but think dogs should have the same rights as people. What could be more French than the former president of France being attacked by his wife's "chronically depressed" French poodle. You have to read this story!

January 16, 2009 - Washington, DC
Today is Blackberry turn in day for Bush staff / A farewell to GWB / Final Bush proclamations / Obama's gay military / Hillary goes to Foggy Bottom / Inaugural "pig sex" / People say debt is the problem with America / RFC social networking sites and Facebook / The Left's antisemitism / Persecuted Iraqi Christians

A FAREWELL TO GWB- When George W. Bush was sworn in as Governor of Texas in 1995 my wife Nancy and I were present in Austin, Texas. We moved the offices of the Religious Freedom Coalition to Washington, DC from Dallas, Texas shortly after that. We were also at both of George W. Bush's presidential Inaugurations, in 2001 and 2005, and in fact participated in Inaugural Balls both times. Going full circle now, we have been invited and will attend the farewell ceremony for President George W. Bush at Andrews Air Force Base on January 20th. We were not invited to any of the Inaugural Balls or other events for Barack Obama.
OBAMA'S GAY MILITARY - Barack Obama has indicated that one of his first orders as Commander-in-Chief will be to eliminate the "don't ask, don't tell" policy toward homosexuals in the military initiated by President Clinton and continued by President George W. Bush. Under the order to be issued by Obama, homosexuals will be allowed to openly flaunt their sexual encounters in the military. Why is this a problem? In a combat unit men must act as a team. When "lovers" are in the unit they watch out for each other and not the team. Read more
BUSH PROCLAMATIONS - Before leaving office, George W. Bush issued two proclamations of interest to social conservatives. He proclaimed January 18th as National Sanctity of Life Day. The March for Life will be held in Washington, DC on January 22nd, the anniversary of Roe V. Wade. President Bush could not issue a proclamation for that date because Barack Obama will be president. It is VERY doubtful that Obama will ever issue a "Sanctity of Human Life" proclamation because he simply does not believe an unborn child is a human life. President Bush also proclaimed today, January 16, 2009 as Religious Freedom Day. I do not know if these links will work after Barack Obama is sworn in.
PLEASE ACT NOW - Congressman Todd Akin is once again preparing to introduce the Pledge Protection Act which would defend "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance to our nation's flag. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has sat on the atheist lawsuit to remove "under God" from the Pledge in hopes that the Justice Department under Barack Obama will agree with them that it is unconstitutional. We must be ready to defend "under God" in the Pledge. The Religious Freedom Coalition has a new social networking site to form groups to defend "under God" at www.pledgeundergod.com. Please register to help at that site!
THE PEOPLE SAY: "DEBT IS THE PROBLEM" - A new poll indicates that 80% of Americans believe that the problem with the economy is government and personal debt. Read more. Personally I believe that a tax structure that promotes use of debt rather than equity led to the meltdown in 2008. Rather than sell stock, companies borrowed funds to expand. No interest needs to be paid to those who invest in stock, but a bond holder wants his interest payments regularly. Every one of the corporate bankruptcy filings, including that of Circuit City and others, came about because they could not make interest payments on a huge debt load.
NEW CHAIRMAN'S REPORT - The all new January 1, 2009 Chairman's Report is now available to read in PDF format. This issue contains material about the assault on "under God" in the Pledge and new details about Barack Obama. The issue also contains more on the "War on Christmas." Read more. HAMAS IN THEIR OWN WORDS- What are the stakes in Gaza for Israel and the world? If Israel does not defeat HAMAS, the world is in danger. View this special edition video, HAMAS IN THEIR OWN WORDS.
PERSECUTED IRAQI CHRISTIANS - The first week of February, Governor David Beasley (R-SC) and several members of the Iraqi Christian Coalition will be holding meetings and visiting with Congressmen and Senators. Please pray we can bring attention to and shine light on this crisis. if you need a reminder of the situation, please watch the testimony video of those who have lived through the persecution. Please help today.
