THE PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA: GENDER SELECTIVE ABORTIONS OK - Apparently President Barack Obama has never met an abortion he didn't like. Although virtually every European nation and Canada prohibit abortions done selectively by sex, Obama said he was against any law prohibiting abortions based on the sex of the child. With his support, Democrats defeated a bill in the House that would outlaw abortions for the purpose of sex selection. Undercover videos revealed, and Planned Parenthood confirmed, that it would abort children based on sex except in the four states where doing so is illegal. Read more

CONGRESS 

PRENDA VOTE - My good friend Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ) introduced H.R. 3541, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA) after learning that Planned Parenthood would abort babies for the purpose of sex-selection. The bill was considered under suspension, requiring a two-thirds majority to pass. PRENDA failed to reach the two-thirds majority. The final vote of 246 to 168 was because of massive Democrat opposition. A total of 7 Republicans and 161 Democrats did not agree with most Americans, that abortions based on sex-selection are wrong. RELIGION AND CULTURE 

BLACK PASTORS ON SAME SEX MARRIAGE - Shortly after President Obama and the NAACP endorsed same-sex marriage as a civil liberties issue, African-American pastors met in Washington, DC and were interviewed on the issue. The vast majority do not believe marriage rites should be extended to homosexuals and lesbians. Read more

NO SHARIA FOR KANSAS -A bill banning foreign laws, including Sharia Islamic law, from being used in Kansas to determine legal matters was signed by GOP Kansas Governor Sam Brownback recently. Both the Kansas House and Senate had voted overwhelmingly in favor. While opponents say Muslim tenets are unfairly targeted by the legislation, supporters say it is designed to uphold the U.S. Constitution. Read more

NO STRAIGHT SEX FOR CALIFORNIA - The California Senate voted 23-13 in favor of a bill prohibiting counselors and therapists from telling young people it is possible to change same-sex attractions. The bill has sparked outrage from individuals who have overcome unwanted same-sex feelings sparked by childhood sexual abuse. It is also being opposed by Pacific Justice Institute, whose attorneys believe its blanket ban on certain types of counseling is unconstitutional. Read more

MORE DEATH THREATS FOR GEERT WILDERS - Police in Amsterdam have arrested the spokesperson of the Islamist group Sharia4Holland on charges of making death threats against the Dutch Freedom Party leader, Geert Wilders. Abu Qasim was arrested after a speech he gave in Amsterdam's central Dam Square on May 25 (video here), when he warned that Wilders would be "dealt with" once the Netherlands became an Islamic state.
UK PRISON INMATES FORCED TO CONVERT TO ISLAM - Prisoners are under pressure to convert to an Islamic "gang" at a high-security jail, with non-Muslims in fear of violence just for cooking bacon, according to an official report. Muslim prisoners at the top security jail doubled in two years. Muslims represent around a third of all prisoners at Whitemoor Prison in Cambridgeshire. Prison guards said they had a policy of "appeasement" towards the powerful and growing Islamic population, particularly convicted terrorists who were feared to be recruiting future extremists. SECOND ISLAMIC CONQUEST OF EGYPT - According to the popular Egyptian website, El Bashayer, the Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidate, Muhammad Morsi, has just declared that he will "achieve the Islamic conquest (fath) of Egypt for the second time. Morsi says he will make all Christians convert to Islam, or else pay the jizya," the traditional Islamic tax or financial tribute required of non-Muslim "dhimmis." Read more

PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA BACKS ELECTION FRAUD IN AFRICA - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wants President Laurent Gbagbo of the Ivory Coast to step down and allow the "real" president whose rebel army is marching toward the capital to take control. She and Obama claim that Gbagbo was defeated in a fair election. PROBLEM: The election was not fair. In Muslim areas of the nation up to 200% of registered voters voted. European monitors made sure the election was "fair" in the Christian south, but allowed Muslims to cheat in the north. Obama and European leaders wanted the Christian president out and the Muslim Alassane Ouattara in, because they think this will end an ongoing civil war between the Muslim north and the Christian south. The violence will stop alright, as soon as all the Christians are slaughtered or forced to flee. Read more  
OBAMA EXITS LIBYA - Within the last 24 hours the Obama Administration announced that US air power was being withdrawn from the Libyan civil war. Up to now, Obama has backed "rebels" whose military leader fought against American troops in Afghanistan. Obama claims he still backs the rebels in Libya, and has encouraged U.S. "allies" to continue the fight. There are reports that CIA operatives are still on the ground assisting the Libyan rebels, many of whom previously fought the U.S. in Afghanistan.  

THE CONGRESS 

SENATOR DURBIN'S "I LOVE MUSLIMS" SHOW - Senator Dick Durbin favors the gay agenda, the women's liberation movement, the sexual revolution and, oh yes, Islam. A recent photo shows the good Senator at a mosque surrounded by Muslims good and bad. Two of those in the photo were listed as conspirators in a Justice Department case and have associations with Hamas. It was no surprise then when Durbin announced hearings to prove that Muslims in America are persecuted. Read more. INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM CAUCUS - On Thursday evening, March 31st, the Becket Fund, the Religious Freedom Coalition and other groups held a reception in the Longworth House Office Building next to the Capitol for members of the International Religious Freedom Caucus. Congressman Trent Franks, (R-AZ) is the founder and chairman of the caucus which works on issues of religious freedom. Most recently congressmen in the caucus worked for and won the release of an Afghan Christian named Said Musa who was sentenced to death for apostasy.
REPUBLICANS FINALLY TARGET THE LEFT'S PETS - Politico, which leans to the left, published an article that detailed the House Republicans' agenda of "defunding, investigating and otherwise beating up on liberal causes." The article went on to say: ' At every turn, the GOP is attacking sacred cows of the left. The party has already voted to kill all federal funding for Planned Parenthood, a longtime conservative nemesis. NPR may lose its federal support. Republicans have targeted the Environmental Protection Agency for investigation and are moving to kill a federal program that benefits environmental activist groups like Defenders of Wildlife." All real conservatives can say is "At last they get it." Read at Politico.
AARP SELLS INSURANCE? DAH! - The Ways and Means Committee has just made an amazing discovery. AARP makes tens of millions of dollars a year referring its members to high cost insurance plans. The CEO of AARP and other executives make huge salaries, and the organization benefited from the Obama health care bill it helped to pass. 60Plus chairman Jim Martin said the revelations are not really new, but need to be stopped. PRO-FAMILY STUDENTS ATTACKED - TFP Student Action, a Catholic organization, was involved in a peaceful campaign to promote normal heterosexual marriage when they were attacked by about 250 frenzied pro-homosexual students at Brown University. The pro-homosexual gang screamed, spit, taunted, insulted, assaulted, and attempted to destroy a traditional marriage banner. A video of the assault was posted at Youtube for one day until it was removed because of homosexual pressure. Read more 
 

NO 911 MOSQUE!

A JEWISH MUSEUM AT GROUND ZERO MOSQUE? - The nonprofit Anne Frank Center USA, a partner of the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam, plans a large facility across the street from the Ground Zero mosque, at 100 Church Street. The museum will offer educational programs about the Holocaust as well as the life and death of Anne Frank at the hands of the Nazis. A lease has been signed for 100 Church St. Read more FORGET THE MOSQUE PART - Daisy Khan, wife of now fired Ground Zero mosque Imam Feisal Rauf, revealed in an interview that she and her husband are contemplating, instead of a "mosque," an "interfaith cultural center," at 51 Park. She also managed to reveal that the whole thing is just sort of an unfunded grandiose dream. Read more

LIBYAN REBEL COMMANDER FOUGHT US IN AFGHANISTAN - Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, is associated with al-Qaeda and has fought against allied troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was captured in Pakistan in 2002 and held somewhere by the US until 2008 when he returned to Libya. In an interview with the Italian newspaper Sole 24 Ore, al-Hasidi confirmed he recruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya".  
BANGLADESH GIRL WHIPPED TO DEATH - Hena Akhter was raped by an older married man when she was just 14 years old. The imam and elders of her village in the Shariatpur district found her guilty of adultery for being raped. A fatwa was issued by the village imam that she receive 101 lashes. At 70 lashes she fell unconscious and died. She was taken to a nearly hospital where her death was ruled a suicide. Bangladesh is one of the "moderate" Islamic nations where Kohl's department stores buy a large percentage of clothing because of the near slave labor wages paid there.
WILDERS ATTACKS MULTICULTURALISM - Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders , who is under 24 hour a day guard because of fatwas issued against his life, made an important speech in Rome on multiculturalism. Wilders was just a few years ago an outcast whom the Dutch government wanted to jail and shut up the truth about violent Islam in Europe. Today he heads the third largest political party in the Netherlands. Read more

PETITION TO HILLARY CLINTON ON IRAQI CHRISTIANS - Read and sign the new Internet petition to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The petition urges Clinton to direct our embassies to assist Christians who have fled Islamic terror in Iraq. The petition is located at www.iraqichristianrefugees.org.

THE PRESIDENCY

INTERNATIONAL CRIME TO CRITICIZE ISLAM? - This week the 47-member United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a "defamation of religions" resolution by a vote of 23 in favor, with 11 votes against and 13 abstentions. The United States is not currently a member of the Council. This official United Nations body has collectively spit in the face of religious freedom by passing a resolution that literally calls for banning individual religious freedom. This gives cover to Muslim nations to continue to persecute Christians and other non-Muslims. While the Bush Administration criticized such wanton acts by the United Nations, not a word has come out of the Obama White House. Perhaps Mr. Obama agrees that religious freedom should be eliminated. See Trent Frank's letter in Congress section.

SENATE FAILS TO STOP OBAMA TAX HIKE ON CHARITABLE GIVING - Senator John Thune's "Sense of the Senate" resolution expressing support for the current federal income tax deduction for charitable giving was defeated in the Senate Thursday by just one vote. President Obama wants Congress to reduce the deduction, which would result in less charitable giving nationwide. Read statement from Senator Thune.

CONGRESSMAN TELLS CLINTON AGAIN THAT IRAQI CHRISTIANS NEED HELP - Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) has written a third and even stronger letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton concerning the conditions of Iraqi Christians. Clinton seems to have ignored the first two letters, which were responded to by a low ranking official at the State Department. Read Congressman Wolf's Letter.

TRENT FRANK'S LETTER ON "DEFAMATION OF RELIGION - The day before the United Nations Human Rights Council voted to criminalize individual rights of freedom of religious expression, Congressman Trent Franks wrote a compelling letter spelling out the dangers of their action. CULTURE AND RELIGION

ABORTION MILL OWNER'S FAMILY TRAGEDY - The tragic plane crash into a Montana grave yard that killed three entire families this past week, has received widespread attention and sympathy. What is not mentioned is that the plane was leased by one of California's largest operators of abortion clinics. The owner of the abortion company often let his family use the plane for pleasure trips, and when it crashed last week he lost two daughters and five grandchildren. The plane crashed into a Catholic cemetery, very near a monument to the victims of abortion. Read more

TOWN FOR CHRISTIANS ONLY? - If a town declared itself for Christians only, there would be outrage from the left. The ACLU and other leftist organizations would file lawsuits and law enforcement would investigate. BUT ... a Muslim only town founded by a man who also founded a terrorist group is just fine with the left and the ACLU. The anti-gun left does not even mind that Islamberg, with just 100 people, has a gun range to practice their skills. Can you imagine what kind of rights the women there have? Don't expect any outrage from NOW or other left leaning "women's groups. Read more

APPEARANCE ON RUSSIA TODAY - On Tuesday, March 24th I appeared on the television show Russia Today, live during the prime evening news hour in Moscow. The occasion of the segment was to mark the tenth anniversary of the bombing campaign by NATO on Serbia. At the time, President Bill Clinton believed that the establishment of a Muslim nation in the heart of Europe would win America allies. The goal was to remove the province of Kosovo from Serbia and establish it as a separate Muslim nation. Since that time Christians in Kosovo have suffered persecution that has included murders and the destruction of churches built in the 13th and 14th centuries. BRUSSELS IS ONE QUARTER MUSLIM - Filip Dewinter, a leader of the separatist party Vlaams Belang, predicts a civil war when Belgians realize that the capitol city of Belgium and the seat of the European Union government is about to be taken over by Muslims. It is estimated that 3 of the 19 sections of Brussels, which each have their own mayor, are majority Muslim. Can Sharia law be far behind? Read more
