PRESIDENCY 

DOES OBAMA WANTS U.S. TO DEFAULT? - Speaker Boehner said it this way: "President Obama would not take 'yes' for answer." Every time a deal was near on the debt limit issue, Obama moved the goal posts. Why? He didn't want a deal. Obama knows under the current economic and social situation he cannot win re-election. He owns the bad economy. But, if he can create a crisis and blame Republicans he thinks he can win. Obama is willing to harm the economy even further by causing our nation to default, if he feels he can win votes as a result.

WE PAID THE TALIBAN - It is official. The Pentagon acknowledged that payments from a $2.6 billion dollar trucking contract were used as payoff money to the Taliban. With the U.S. funds, Afghan contractors paid local drivers, who in turn paid local security forces for safe passage. Just like in the old fashioned protection rackets in Chicago, the local "security" paid the Taliban to let the trucks through. Our brave men and women in uniform are fighting and dying for payoff rackets like this in Afghanistan to continue. Meanwhile, Christians in Afghanistan continue to be persecuted even worse than they are in Iraq.

THE CONGRESS 

BOEHNER UNDER ATTACK - Many conservatives, particularly Tea Party backers, have settled on Speaker John Boehner as the villain rather than President Barack Obama. Wednesday I witnessed a Tea Party rally in which the Speaker was called just about everything but a human being. Do these "conservatives" want Nancy Pelosi back in charge? Do they want Obama for another four years? Do they want Harry Reid to continue to be in charge of the Senate? Why is all this money and energy being spent attacking Speaker Boehner instead of the real culprits who want to spend the nation into oblivion? There are lots of areas I disagree with Speaker Boehner on, but he is 90% on my side of the issues and I would rather have him than Nancy Pelosi who is not with me on issues even 1% of the time.  
REPUBLICAN SUICIDE - Somehow the Republican Party has managed to seize defeat from the jaws of victory. On Capitol Hill this week I watched in slow motion as President Barack Obama surrendered to Republican leaders and walked away with his head down. Not knowing what to do with this victory on the budget, Republicans immediately began to attack each other. 

RELIGION AND CULTURE 

ATHEISTS SUE OVER GROUND ZERO CROSS - American Atheists filed a lawsuit this week to stop the display of the Ground Zero Cross stating that "no other religions or philosophies will be honored." The cross consists of two intersecting steel beams found intact in the rubble at Ground Zero. It was given a home at the Ground Zero site by the 9/11 Memorial Museum this week. The suit is meritless and a publicity stunt. The 9/11 Memorial Museum is a private non-profit organization with no affiliation with the government.

ANOTHER MUSLIM ATTACK ON FORT HOOD - This week local police, not the military, stopped a Muslim soldier from killing even more service men and women at Ft Hood. Far from investigating the Muslim soldier, the Army had given him "conscientious objector" status because he said he could not go to Afghanistan to fight Muslim terrorists. A gun shop owner notified the Killeen, Texas police of the Muslim's purchase of gun powder. Pfc. Naser Abdo, who was AWOL at the time, had weapons and bomb making materials in his motel room near Fort Hood when captured. The military actively recruits Muslims to prove its political correctness. The New York Times, which immediately claimed the bombing in Norway was a done by a Christian, has not as yet referred to Abdo as a Muslim, and probably never will.

NO 911 MOSQUE

NEW YORK STILL FIGHTING 9/11 CHURCH - Mayor Bloomberg and New York City are continuing to fight against the reconstruction of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church which was destroyed in the 9/11 jihad attack on the United States. Read the incredible story as Mayor Bloomberg continues to support a mosque at Ground Zero.
 

INTERNATIONAL 

NORWAY TERRORIST A CHRISTIAN? Not according to the mass killer himself. "As for the Church and science", he wrote, "it is essential that science takes an undisputed precedence over biblical teachings." Anders Behring Breivik also stated that he was a follower of Darwin and not of Jesus Christ. But the Washington Post and the New York Times proclaimed him a Christian the day of the attack. Why? On one of the 1,500 pages of his rambling "manifesto" he stated that like most Europeans he "could be considered a cultural Christian," in other words an atheist who is a cultural parasite. 
MORE NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS BURIED - Members of a church in Suleja, Niger state, ended a week of fasting and prayer on Saturday with a service for three Christians killed in a bombing by the Boko Haram. The All Christian Fellowship Mission Church members were leaving a Sunday worship service, when a bomb exploded. This is the third time this year bombs have targeted the Christian area of Suleja, just outside the capital. Read more

PRESIDENCY 

HE LIED - The Obama Administration has awarded Pennsylvania $160 million for a new "high-risk" insurance program under a provision of the new national health care program which Congress enacted in March. Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell (D) says the "high-risk" program will cover any abortion that is legal in Pennsylvania. Before passage of the bill, Obama won the support of "pro-life Democrats" with his promise that his Administration would not fund abortions with tax dollars.  
OBAMA AND ABORTION IN KENYA - The Obama Administration in directly interfering in the vote on a new constitution in Kenya. So far the administration has given as much as $10 million to groups in Kenya campaigning for a "Yes" vote on a new constitution that would legalize abortion. U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) documents show funding to local organizations to "drum up political support" for the pro-abortion constitution.
FREEDOM TO WORSHIP? - I am not the only one warning America about the Obama Administration's shift from protecting "religious freedom" to advocating "freedom of worship." Chuck Colson has a great two minute video showing that the Administration wants to downgrade freedom of religion to promote the homosexual agenda. See Colson's video. 

THE CONGRESS
CONGRESSMAN QUESTIONS GROUND ZERO MOSQUE - Congressman Peter King (R-NY) wants to know where the money is coming from to build a proposed $100 million mosque across the street from the site of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City. King told the Associated Press, "I think the 9/11 families have a right to know where the funding comes from; I think there are significant questions." Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who claims to be a Jew, is all giddy and excited about having the 13 story Islamic center at Ground Zero and has promised to help in the ground breaking ceremonies. The giant mosque is a project of the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Institute. It's director, Imam Faisel Abdul Rauf, refuses to disclose the source of the funding but wants a total tax exemption for the property.
 

CULTURE AND RELIGION 

MARRIOTT CANCELS TERROR GROUP - The Muslim organization, Hizb ut-Tahrir has canceled its annual U.S. conference after the suburban Chicago Marriott hotel in Oak Brook, Il backed out of housing the event. Last year's event in the Chicago area was titled "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam." I have reported on the terror links of this group previously. The day the hotel canceled them out, a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir was arrested in St. Petersburg, Russia under an arrest warrant from Uzbekistan associating him with terrorist acts.  
GAY LIKE GOOGLE - Internet search giant Google this week announced it will be giving raises to employees that are homosexual or lesbian, and who are in "partnerships". Heterosexuals at Google, by this rule will be paid less than their gay counterparts. The gay and lesbian raises are intended to offset the health care tax benefit enjoyed by heterosexual couples. Married heterosexual couples do not pay taxes on the health care provided by employers. Google says the raise is to allow the homosexuals to pay the federal tax on health care benefits they buy for their "partners." Unmarried heterosexual couples living together will not get the raise because Google says they can always get married. Gee ... it is nice to know that Google promotes marriage along with its gay agenda.
CATHOLIC PROFESSOR FIRED FOR TEACHING CATHOLICISM - This is just incredible ... A Catholic who taught Catholic theology at the University of Chicago has been fired for "hate speech" because he explained the teachings of the Catholic Church on homosexuality. Apparently the university wants someone to teach a Catholic theology that is unacceptable to the Pope and the Catholic Church, to accommodate homosexuals. Students have organized to force the school to reinstate Prof. Ken Howell. Howell is now represented by the Alliance Defense Fund

INTERNATIONAL 

IRAN TO EXECUTE PASTOR - Iran has backed down, for now, from stoning to death a woman accused of adultery, but the blood lust of Islam continues to thrive there. A well-known Iranian pastor, Youcef Nadarkhani and his wife were arrested in Rasht because of "Christian activities." Two Iranian judges have agreed to make him "liable to capital punishment," as part of the newest crackdown on Christians in Iran. Read more
