PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA WAVERS ON SYRIA - President Barack Obama was frozen for the first several weeks of the turmoil in Egypt and seemed to be supportive of lifelong President Mubarak. As the Muslim Brotherhood declared itself in favor of "change" in Egypt, Obama switched sides. During weeks of turmoil in Syria, once again the Obama Administration seemed to support the current regime and even planned financial aid for the Syrian government. Today the Muslim Brotherhood, outlawed in Syria by the secular government, openly encouraged the protests in Syria. The Brotherhood was crushed by current President Assad's father, Hafez, after an Islamic uprising 1982. My prediction: by Monday President Obama will turn on the secular government of Syria and support the Muslim Brotherhood. Will Assad then turn to Iran? Photo: Assad with Ahmadinejad

OBAMA AND INDIA - India is now on the fast track to buy 126 modern jet fighters worth $10 billion from Europe rather than the United States, and oddly the Obama Administration cannot figure out why. The centuries old Islamic Jihad against India has killed an estimated 80 million Hindus. The United States continues to be allied with Pakistan, the main perpetrator of violence against India. Every year the U.S. gives Pakistan some $3 billion a year in military aid. This American aid to the regular armed forces of Pakistan has allowed that nation to fund the doubling of its nuclear arsenal, all of which is aimed at India. if we want India's business, maybe we should stop funding their radical Muslim enemies to the north.
JUST PRINT MORE MONEY - Just a few days ago the Administration was bragging about how great Obama's spending splurge has been for the economy; then yesterday the real figures came in. The rate of economic growth declined the first quarter to just 1.8% and the weekly first time jobless claims rose for the second time in three weeks. What is going wrong? The powers in Washington temporarily stopped printing funny money. To "revive" the economy without allowing energy exploration, once again the printing presses will have to roll.

THE CONGRESS 

FOREIGN AFFAIRS CHAIRMAN CONDEMNS HAMAS-FATAH DEAL- U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, commented on reports that Abu Mazen's Fatah faction and Hamas, a Foreign Terrorist Organization, have agreed to form a joint Palestinian Authority (PA) government. Statement by Ros-Lehtinen: "The reported agreement between Fatah and Hamas means that a Foreign Terrorist Organization which has called for the destruction of Israel will be part of the Palestinian Authority government. U.S. taxpayer funds should not and must not be used to support those who threaten U.S. security, our interests, and our vital ally, Israel. Complete statement

EASTER ATTACK IN IRAQ - More than seven people were injured in a bombing at the entrance of the Sacred Heart Church in Baghdad's Karradah neighborhood on Easter Sunday. The church is surrounded by blast walls to protect it as are most churches in Iraq. "Our churches have become like prisons," says Monsignor Pious Casha, "The barbed wire and concrete are new. Yes they protect the churches, but they make the worshippers spiritually constrained." As a result of the extreme security, deaths were averted this Easter. Read more  
CHURCH SUPPORTS SYRIA'S ASSAD - The Muslim Brotherhood wants to see President Assad of Syria fall and their kind of "freedom" brought forth, but the church in Syria that represents 10% or more of the population does not. "We are with the government and against these movements that oppose it," said Bishop Philoxenos Mattias, a spokesman for the Syriac Orthodox Church this month. "Here in Syria we do not have problems like Christians in other countries. We have no problem with the president." The experience of neighboring Iraq is a salutary lesson for Christians across the Middle East. Read more
MUSLIMS KILL HUNDREDS IN NIGERIA - A Christian, Goodluck Jonathan, won the election for President in Nigeria this month. The Muslims of northern Nigeria have already killed 500 innocent people to protest his victory. Every other term, a Muslim must be elected according to the constitution. The Muslim president died last year after serving only three of his four your years and as a result the Muslims believe they should get another four years. I do not expect Europe or the United States to honor the election but rather to try to force a Muslim president on Nigeria as they did in the Ivory Coast. I expect many Christian refugees coming out of the Ivory Coast and now out of the north of Nigeria. Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in these two nations.

EGYPT: WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT - President Obama's National Intelligence Director said in February, "The term 'Muslim Brotherhood' is an umbrella term for a variety of movements, in the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried Al-Qaida as a perversion of Islam." (See video) This week, Mahmoud Ezzat, the Muslim Brotherhood's deputy Supreme Guide, told a forum in Cairo that the group wants to establish an Islamic state in Egypt. Read more  
MCCAIN FRONTS FOR OBAMA - On Good Friday morning Senator John McCain toured Benghazi, Libya and made rather bizarre contradictory remarks. He said he was there to "learn who the rebels are" and then later said that the rebels are "my heroes." Why would the aging Senator call a group of Muslim fighters, some of whom formerly fought and killed our troops in Afghanistan, "heroes?" Obama is destroying the last vestiges of secular governments in North Africa such as in Egypt, and they are being replaced by extremists Muslims; and Senator McCain is all smiles about the result. McCain's comments must sound odd to the families of the men who died at the hands of these fighters in Afghanistan.

CONGRESSIONAL RESOLUTION FOR TEN COMMANDMENTS - Just before the Easter Recess began, Congressman Louis Gohmert (R-TX) introduced H. Res 211, the Ten Commandments Weekend Resolution. The resolution supports the designation of the first weekend of May as Ten Commandments Weekend, a time to recognize the significant contributions the Ten Commandments have made in shaping the principles, institutions, and national character of the United States. SON OF HAMAS WARNS AGAINST GZ MOSQUE - Last year, Mosab Hassan Yousef, whose father founded Hamas discussed on the Fox Business Channel why he feels the construction of the mosque in New York is a grave mistake. He said that building the mosque "on a graveyard" was like pouring "acid" on a wound. Yousef is the author of Son of Hamas. Although this was a short interview, Yousef made some powerful points about Feisal Rauf and his agenda. This interview is a great reminder of the real situation. Please pass it around. Watch here!

INTERNATIONAL 

PALM SUNDAY ATTACK IN PAKISTAN - Tensions are still running high in Pakistan where hundreds of Muslims on Saturday attacked the Christian village of Khokarki. The Muslims had organized a demonstration against a Christian man, Mushtaq Gill, and his son for allegedly desecrating the Qur'an. The mob wanted to "punish them publicly" before any police investigation was actually carried out. Read more  
GOOD FRIDAY DISASTER AVERTED IN INDONESIA - Indonesian Muslim Jihadists planted nine bombs, one weighing almost a 1,000 pounds near a cathedral in Serpong, just west of Jakarta. Some were placed under a gas pipeline to cause large numbers of casualties. Police learned of the bombs while questioning terror suspects who had sent letter bombs to officials. National police spokesman Anton Bachrul Alam said the bombs were timed to explode as Christian worshipers arrived at the church to celebrate Good Friday.
SAUDI ARABIA ARRESTS CHRISTIANS - Hundreds of Thousands of Christians from all over the world are hired to work in Saudi Arabia, but they are not allowed to worship the Lord. Two Indian Christians of a thriving Pentecostal house church are now in prison in Riyadh. Vasantha Sekhar Vara, 28, and Nese Yohan, 31, who are members of the "Rejoice in the Church of the Lord" congregation have been in "pre-trail" detention. In India, Vara's pastor, Ajay Kuma Jeldi, said that Vara had told him by telephone that he had been pressured in prison to convert to Islam, but had refused. "If I have to die for my God, I will die for him here," Vara reportedly said. Read more

THE PEACE PRIZE PRESIDENT - From the day he announced he would run for president, the media has depicted Barack Obama as a genius and the proof was his being a Harvard graduate who understands all things. (Of course, George W. Bush who was also a Harvard graduate was depicted as an idiot.) Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize after serving just a few months in office. Since receiving this humanitarian designation, he has fostered revolts in the Middle East that have caused thousands of deaths and allowed the slaughter of Christians and other religious minorities in Muslim nations without as much as a token protest of these human rights abuses. The failure of the Nobel Committee to recall Obama's "peace prize" is proof that it is a political rather than humanitarian organization.  
DONALD TRUMP, THE LEFT/RIGHT, UP/DOWN CANDIDATE - Billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump this year gave a keynote speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and has become the heartthrob of conservative media outlets by joining the "birther" movement. REALITY CHECK: Trump has no history as a conservative and has supported liberal Democrats and "moderate" or liberal Republicans in the past. He has given large sums of money to the campaigns of Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY); Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY); Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY); Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ); Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV); Sen. John Kerry (D-MA); former Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD); former Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE). Republicans he supported include turncoat Senator Arlen Specter and Governor Charlie Crist, who bailed out of the GOP rather than face Marco Rubio in a primary. Who is this guy?

THE CONGRESS
CONGRESSIONAL RESOLUTION ON KING JAMES BIBLE - In this year of the 400th anniversary of the publishing of the King James Bible, Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-AL) has introduced H. Con. Res. 38, which recognizes the contribution which the King James Version of the Bible has made to American law, language, history and culture. The Resolution notes that "the teachings of the Scriptures, particularly read from the King James Scriptures, have inspired concepts of civil government contained in our founding document, and subsequent laws." The Resolution also notes that the King James Bible is the most printed and widely distributed work in history. President Andrew Jackson called it "the rock upon which our republic rests." The Resolution ends with these words: "Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That Congress expresses its gratitude for the influence it (the KJV) has bestowed upon the United States." The Religious Freedom Coalition delivered a letter to Congressman Robert Aderholt, thanking him for introducing this Resolution.  
SENATOR REID DROPS "UNDER GOD" FROM PLEDGE - In the Pledge of Allegiance the words "under God" appear in this context: "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all". When quoting the Pledge on the Senate floor Reid states, "one nation indivisible" and leaves out "under God." This tendency to "forget" about God seems to be a systemic problem with this Administration. "In God We Trust" is the national motto, although President Obama has falsely stated in several speeches that the motto is "E Pluribus Unum". He also regularly leaves the phrase "endowed by our Creator" out of the Declaration of Independence when quoting it. See at Youtube
WERE BUDGET CUTS REAL? - Various Tea Party elements have attacked the $38 billion reduction in the 2011 budget agreement not only as too small but actually a phoney cut, saying it is money that would not have been spent anyway. REALITY: Congress does not spend money, contrary to what most people believe. Congress only AUTHORIZES the expenditure of money by the Administration. Over a period of ten years the $38 billion in cuts actually reduced AUTHORIZATION to the Administration of $315 billion or one third of a trillion dollars. Forty programs were cut or eliminated; for example the high speed rail program that has caused such controversy (because it was planned for areas where it is not needed). It is not just cut for 2011, it is gone. There are NO future authorizations for it. Read Speaker Boehner's explanation of the program cuts. 

RELIGION AND CULTURE 
NO SHARIA IN TEXAS? - Texas legislators are considering a ban on state courts using foreign religious or cultural laws. Sharia is not mentioned by name, but the intent is to stop the use of Islamic law. State Rep Berman, (R-Tyler) stated the goal "is to require a Texas court to uphold and apply only the laws ordained by the constitutions of (Texas and the United States), prohibiting any other interpretation." He stated, "We all know what Shariah law does to women - women must wear burqas, women are subject to humiliation and into controlled marriages under Shariah law. We want to prevent it from ever happening in Texas." Florida and other states are considering the ban as well after seeing the devastating effects of Sharia laws being enforced in the United Kingdom where Muslims, because of sharia, are allowed to have polygamous marriages.

HILLARY CELEBRATES THE MOSQUE AND ISLAM - The first ever U.S.-Islamic World Forum, a large black tie gala at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium, was held in Washington, DC on April 12, 2011, with Hillary Clinton giving the welcoming address. Hillary told the audience how glad she was for the "chance to celebrate the diverse achievements of Muslims around the world." This is especially so since, as Hillary said, "Islam has always been a part of American history." Well, that is a new rewriting of history that came in with the Obama administration. It would have been hard to find a mosque in all of America in the country's early days, and our major interaction with Islamic nations was the thrashing of the Barbary pirates by U.S. Marines in their first foreign war. INTERNATIONAL 

EGYPT: THREE MORE CHURCHES DESTROYED - In the last two weeks three attacks on churches were undertaken by Salafis, or Islamic Fundamentalists, in Egypt. The Salafis demanded churches move to locations outside communities and be forbidden from making repairs, "even if they are so dilapidated that the roofs will collapse over the heads of the congregation," says Father Estephanos Shehata of Samalut Coptic Diocese.

The latest of these incidents took place in the village of Kamadeer, in Samalout, Minya province on April 5, which escalated to the point where it was feared the church would be torched and demolished, as was done in the case of St. George and St. Mina Church in the village of Soul, Atfif, on March 5th. CLEARED THEN MURDERED FOR BLASPHEMY - No, this is not a repeat of the story I wrote about in November, 2010. Mohamed Imran was wrongly accused of insulting Mohammed, a crime that is punished by death in Pakistan. Being proved innocent is normally as much of a death sentence as being found guilty. Every person ever found innocent and released has been murdered by Muslim vigilantes. Two gunmen burst into the shoe shop where Imran sat and shot him numerous times in front of his friends. Two high level politicians, Punjab governor Salman Taseer and minorities minister (and Christian) Shahbaz Bhatti, have been assassinated this year for criticism of Pakistan's blasphemy laws. The United States will give $3 billion dollars of our tax money to Pakistan this year. Good report on CNN
ANOTHER CHRISTIAN CHARGED WITH BLASPHEMY - On April 5th, 2011, 40-year-old Christian Arif Masih from Faisalabad, Pakistan was arrested and accused of ripping the pages of the Holy Quran and writing a threatening letter to the Muslims. The complaint was lodged on the testimony of Shahid Yousaf, a neighbor he was having a property dispute with. If he is found guilty he will be executed. If he is found innocent, Muslim vigilantes will track him down and kill him. Arif is being aided by the Masihi Foundation which helps those being persecuted by blasphemy laws. The Foundation is also trying to help Asia Bibi, the Christian woman imprisoned in Pakistan for drinking from a cup reserved for Muslims (a blasphemous act). Asia has been imprisoned for months and is seriously ill. Read more

PRESIDENCY 
IGNORING THE NEW NAZIS - Barack Obama's Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, said that the Muslim Brotherhood was "largely secular" and that there was "no overarching agenda, particularly in pursuit of violence, at least internationally." Today, April 8th, more than a million Egyptian followers of the Muslim Brotherhood gather at "Liberation Square" to demand the destruction of Israel. The Muslim Brotherhood also wants to repeal the free market practices which the deposed President Mubarak had introduced. The Muslim Brotherhood seems to be the new international partner of the Obama Administration to bring "democracy" to the Middle East.
IGNORING THE TRUTH IN EGYPT - Is the Obama Administration ignoring or encouraging the power grab by radical Islamic groups in Egypt? Nagib Gibrail, a Coptic Christian who heads the Egyptian Union of Human Rights, told the Jerusalem Post that the Egyptian revolution has been kidnapped by Islamist radicals. "There are areas in Egypt where Christian girls can't walk outside after eight o'clock in the evening for fear of being kidnapped," Gibrail told The Media Line. "Moderate Muslims should be more scared than Christians. It is very worrying that the military regime hasn't issued a statement declaring Egypt a secular state." Read more
BEWARE BEING POSITIVE OF VICTORY - Barack Obama wants a government shut down. He is convinced that Americans will flock to his side and blame Republicans. He was also sure that labor unrest and near riots at the state capitol in Wisconsin would bring Democrats an important election victory there. It didn't. All Obama has to do to keep the government open is to allow Congress to stop giving money to Democrat pet organizations such as Planned Parenthood and NPR. When the people realize this, which they will, Obama will pay the price. 
 
THE CONGRESS   
CONGRESS AND THE DEBT - For decades liberals in Congress have used the national treasury to fund their pet projects. These include funds to the National Broadcasting Corporation to spew liberal thought on TV and radio, and to Planned Parenthood to champion abortion. Suddenly when Republicans want to end the funding to these special interest groups, they are accused of a political agenda. Hello! Funding left leaning organizations to start with was part of a political agenda that needs to end.  
OVER ONE BILLION A DAY - I spend most of my time on Capitol Hill when Congress is in session, and it continues to amaze me how the minds of liberals there work. The United States is paying nearly $1.5 billion a day in interest on the national debt. Liberal congressmen say that cutting $61 billion of the more than $3.5 trillion budget will starve children and the elderly. Just imagine how many children and elderly could be fed using the money that is paid to the Chinese and the Saudis each month. We need to cut the debt. Note: About 40% of Obama's $3.5 trillion budget for next year will have to be borrowed.
 

RELIGION AND CULTURE 
LIBERALS LOSE BIG IN WISCONSIN - This was the watershed moment that was intended to stop the conservative tide in America. The Democrat Party and leftist advocacy groups including gays and the unions, rolled the dice with many millions of dollars to take over the Supreme Court of Wisconsin. They were so confident their candidate would win, that they declared victory just a little too early. Despite the backing of all the major news outlets, radical leftist JoAnne Kloppenburg lost to incumbent conservative Justice David Prosser, meaning that Gov. Walker's anti-union legislation will stay on the books.

 

NO 911 MOSQUE!

LIBERAL MEDIA: GZ MOSQUE IS SECULAR - As the Ground Zero Mosque construction continues to be delayed, the left wing media do their best to portray the proposed mosque as a mostly secular community center which would be a wonderful asset for the city and would already be reality if not for the mean spirited opponents who have raised so many obstacles in the way. In a puff piece for the Los Angles Times, Geraldine Baum gives a sympathetic description of real estate developer sharif el-Gamal, whom she seems to view as bravely persevering in the face of unfair opposition. INTERNATIONAL

SCHOOL BUS ATTACKED - It doesn't get much worse than this. An anti-tank missile fired from the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by Hamas, hit a school bus in the Negev area of Israel. By the grace of God all the students but one had just previously been dropped off. Attacks on Jewish school children are not new. Several years ago I visited a kindergarten in Israel on the Lebanon border that been deliberately targeted by Hezbollah. MUSLIMS NOW CONTROL IVORY COAST - With the help of the French military, the Christian president of the Ivory Coast has been deposed and and a Muslim government has been installed. The media and the White House have depicted the Christian president as a corrupt strong man who would not honor a fair election, but this is not true. IRAN EXECUTES CHRISTIANS, JEWS - Iran secretly tried and then executed a Jewish-Armenian couple along with three others in March. The arrests and executions continue to show that religious minorities are persecuted under the Islamic regime which President Jimmy Carter helped establish while he was in office. The Administration of Barack Obama had no comment on the executions which were reported by Mohabat News. Other Christians, including a pastor, are missing after being arrested. Read more

PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA BACKS ELECTION FRAUD IN AFRICA - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wants President Laurent Gbagbo of the Ivory Coast to step down and allow the "real" president whose rebel army is marching toward the capital to take control. She and Obama claim that Gbagbo was defeated in a fair election. PROBLEM: The election was not fair. In Muslim areas of the nation up to 200% of registered voters voted. European monitors made sure the election was "fair" in the Christian south, but allowed Muslims to cheat in the north. Obama and European leaders wanted the Christian president out and the Muslim Alassane Ouattara in, because they think this will end an ongoing civil war between the Muslim north and the Christian south. The violence will stop alright, as soon as all the Christians are slaughtered or forced to flee. Read more  
OBAMA EXITS LIBYA - Within the last 24 hours the Obama Administration announced that US air power was being withdrawn from the Libyan civil war. Up to now, Obama has backed "rebels" whose military leader fought against American troops in Afghanistan. Obama claims he still backs the rebels in Libya, and has encouraged U.S. "allies" to continue the fight. There are reports that CIA operatives are still on the ground assisting the Libyan rebels, many of whom previously fought the U.S. in Afghanistan.  

THE CONGRESS 

SENATOR DURBIN'S "I LOVE MUSLIMS" SHOW - Senator Dick Durbin favors the gay agenda, the women's liberation movement, the sexual revolution and, oh yes, Islam. A recent photo shows the good Senator at a mosque surrounded by Muslims good and bad. Two of those in the photo were listed as conspirators in a Justice Department case and have associations with Hamas. It was no surprise then when Durbin announced hearings to prove that Muslims in America are persecuted. Read more. INTERNATIONAL RELIGIOUS FREEDOM CAUCUS - On Thursday evening, March 31st, the Becket Fund, the Religious Freedom Coalition and other groups held a reception in the Longworth House Office Building next to the Capitol for members of the International Religious Freedom Caucus. Congressman Trent Franks, (R-AZ) is the founder and chairman of the caucus which works on issues of religious freedom. Most recently congressmen in the caucus worked for and won the release of an Afghan Christian named Said Musa who was sentenced to death for apostasy.
REPUBLICANS FINALLY TARGET THE LEFT'S PETS - Politico, which leans to the left, published an article that detailed the House Republicans' agenda of "defunding, investigating and otherwise beating up on liberal causes." The article went on to say: ' At every turn, the GOP is attacking sacred cows of the left. The party has already voted to kill all federal funding for Planned Parenthood, a longtime conservative nemesis. NPR may lose its federal support. Republicans have targeted the Environmental Protection Agency for investigation and are moving to kill a federal program that benefits environmental activist groups like Defenders of Wildlife." AARP SELLS INSURANCE? DAH! - The Ways and Means Committee has just made an amazing discovery. AARP makes tens of millions of dollars a year referring its members to high cost insurance plans. The CEO of AARP and other executives make huge salaries, and the organization benefited from the Obama health care bill it helped to pass. 60Plus chairman Jim Martin said the revelations are not really new, but need to be stopped. PRO-FAMILY STUDENTS ATTACKED - TFP Student Action, a Catholic organization, was involved in a peaceful campaign to promote normal heterosexual marriage when they were attacked by about 250 frenzied pro-homosexual students at Brown University. The pro-homosexual gang screamed, spit, taunted, insulted, assaulted, and attempted to destroy a traditional marriage banner. A video of the assault was posted at Youtube for one day until it was removed because of homosexual pressure. Read more

A JEWISH MUSEUM AT GROUND ZERO MOSQUE? - The nonprofit Anne Frank Center USA, a partner of the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam, plans a large facility across the street from the Ground Zero mosque, at 100 Church Street. The museum will offer educational programs about the Holocaust as well as the life and death of Anne Frank at the hands of the Nazis. A lease has been signed for 100 Church St. Read more FORGET THE MOSQUE PART - Daisy Khan, wife of now fired Ground Zero mosque Imam Feisal Rauf, revealed in an interview that she and her husband are contemplating, instead of a "mosque," an "interfaith cultural center," at 51 Park. LIBYAN REBEL COMMANDER FOUGHT US IN AFGHANISTAN - Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, is associated with al-Qaeda and has fought against allied troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was captured in Pakistan in 2002 and held somewhere by the US until 2008 when he returned to Libya. In an interview with the Italian newspaper Sole 24 Ore, al-Hasidi confirmed he recruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya".  
BANGLADESH GIRL WHIPPED TO DEATH - Hena Akhter was raped by an older married man when she was just 14 years old. The imam and elders of her village in the Shariatpur district found her guilty of adultery for being raped. A fatwa was issued by the village imam that she receive 101 lashes. At 70 lashes she fell unconscious and died. She was taken to a nearly hospital where her death was ruled a suicide. Bangladesh is one of the "moderate" Islamic nations where Kohl's department stores buy a large percentage of clothing because of the near slave labor wages paid there.
WILDERS ATTACKS MULTICULTURALISM - Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders , who is under 24 hour a day guard because of fatwas issued against his life, made an important speech in Rome on multiculturalism. Wilders was just a few years ago an outcast whom the Dutch government wanted to jail and shut up the truth about violent Islam in Europe. Today he heads the third largest political party in the Netherlands. Read more
