PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA'S MARINES - In the mind of President Barack Obama, somehow Islam and the gay agenda are completely compatible, despite the fact that in Islamic nations homosexuals are hung. During his campaign and after obtaining office, Obama promised homosexuals they could serve "openly" in the military. At the same time women service members in Muslim nations, including Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, are forced by Obama's generals to wear Islamic religious clothing when off base. Will homosexual soldiers in Afghanistan be told not to hold hands off base? The liberal double standard of pandering to Islam as it tramples the rights of women is appalling. Meanwhile the liberal agenda of attempting to destroy the traditional family continues. In the photo above, a heavily armed Marine receives assistance to look acceptable in a Muslim town. 
OBAMACARE WILL REDUCE WORKFORCE - The bad news keeps coming for ObamaCare. Congressional Budget Office director Doug Elmendorf has issued a report stating that ObamaCare includes work disincentives that will shrink the economy. The CBO estimates that "the legislation, on net, will reduce the amount of labor used in the economy by roughly half a percent." That 1/2 percent is equal to about 800,000 jobs. The CBO report states that the expansion of Medicaid will reduce "the amount of labor that workers choose to supply." Some impact comes sooner. Beginning January 1st, millions of American who have HSA (Health Savings Accounts) will be required to get a doctor's prescription to buy thousands of common over the counter drugs including aspirin, Tylenol and cough syrup. Obama wants to make sure those millions of Americans are not "cheating" and buying aspirin they don't need.

THE CONGRESS 

CONGRESS ADJOURNED - The House and Senate have now both officially adjourned until after the November 2nd elections.  
ELECTION COMIC RELIEF - Although next week's elections could determine the future of the nation, there have been some humorous moments including President Obama being called "dude" when he appeared on John Stewart's program on Comedy Central. One of my favorite videos is a Youtube parody of California Senator Barbara Boxer that refers to her demand that a military officer call her "Senator" at a hearing instead of "ma'am."

CULTURE AND RELIGION 

MUSLIM PLAN TO BOMB SUBWAY IN DC - This week the Washington Post reported that, "more than 60 U.S. citizens have been charged or convicted in terrorism cases" so far in 2010. This fact was part of the reporting on the arrest of Farooq Ahmed, a Muslim who planned to kill as many people as possible with bombs on the Washington Metro system. On the day of his arrest ABC Nightly News managed to report the story without once mentioning that the terrorist was a Muslim. Indeed, a reporter stated that there was no pattern to terrorists arrested in the United States and that they were both black and white as well as both men and women. The ABC reporter was correct, there is no pattern as long as religion is not considered a factor. ABC News has also depicted slum lord imam Feisal Rauf, the proponent of the Ground Zero mosque, as a near saint. ABC is owned by the Disney Corporation.  
OK TO ASK FOR PROMISCUOUS ROOMMATE? - The Michigan Department of Civil Rights has filed charges against a woman for posting a note on a church bulletin board seeking a "Christian roommate." Apparently the state believes that specifying religious beliefs is a grievous punishable offense. Keep in mind that this is Michigan which has a large Muslim population which practices Sharia law and forbids interfaith dating. There is a Muslim roommates internet site that clearly discriminates by religion and lists Muslim roommates in Michigan. Why are only Christians targeted by this agency?

NO 911 MOSQUE!

RAUF JUST CAN'T SAY THE "T" WORD - The New York Post reported that Feisal Rauf just could not get the "terrorist" word out when trying to describe the 9-11 Jidhad attack on America while he was being interviewed on Al Jazeera TV. Previously he called the the 9-11 hijackers, "those who attacked America." This time, while in the Persian Gulf, he referred to the terrorists as, " ... those who've attacked America utilized the vocabulary of religion."  
THE MOSQUE AND SHARIA - One of the most overlooked aspects of the mega-mosque planned for Ground Zero is its influence on Wall Street and the continued spread of Sharia finance which is directly tied to Sharia Law. One of the speakers at a conference in which I participated this past week was Clare Lopez, a former CIA agent who was one of the editors of a trestise on Sharia law produced by the Center for Security Policy. INTERNATIONAL 

WEAPONS FOR GAZA - Why are "humanitarian groups" so anxious to have the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip lifted? Most of the groups, which are also anti-Israel, believe sea containers should be delivered directly to Hamas controlled Gaza with no Israeli inspection. Meanwhile Nigeria's State Security Service discovered military arms inside of 13 shipping containers from Iran at Lagos' Apapa Port. The arms, headed for the Gaza strip, included 107 mm rockets and launchers as well as fragmentation grenades and ammunition. The munitions have been hidden in the port since July awaiting a route to open up to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. MIDDLE EAST MINORITIES - This week I participated in a conference on "The Plight of Minorities and Expatriates in Arab and Muslim Countries: What the US Should Do," presented by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights in Saudi Arabia (CDHR) in collaboration with Human Rights Advocates and Religious Freedom Defenders. The conference occurred on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center Congressional Meeting Room. Other speakers included representives of Copts, Hindus and others repressed by Muslim majorites. My comments are at Youtube/Christianrefugees.

PRESIDENCY 

GROUND ZERO MOSQUE IMAM ON OBAMA PAYROLL - The controversy over the mega mosque at Ground Zero has not stopped the Obama Administration from putting the imam involved on its payroll. The Obama Administration thinks Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is the right man to represent the United States in a State Department funded trip to Muslim nations.

When questioned, State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley praised the Imam, saying that he was "a distinguished Muslim cleric," and then described the program: "we send people from Muslim communities here in this country around the world to help people overseas to understand our society and the role of religion within our society." WHAT? How does a Muslim who openly says he believes in the implementation of Sharia law represent the United States? And why are there no Christians going on these trips to explain "religion within our society."

This is the same type of dimmhification at the federal level as is seen in New York City. Our elected officials and the elites of our nation have decided they can live peaceably with Islam if they accept aspects of it. It is called appeasement. Winston Churchill summed it up well: "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."  
STATE DEPARTMENT PAYS OTHER IMAMS - Rev. Franklin Graham, whose son is serving in Iraq, was not allowed to pray at the Pentagon because his presence would "offend" Muslims. But paying imams who support Hamas and Hezbollah to travel to the Middle East to represent the United States of America is not offensive in the minds of Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton. There are many more imams on the payroll of the State Department than just Feisal Rauf, but the State Department refuses to say who they are or how much they get paid. The Religious Freedom Coalition has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the State Department demanding the information.

THE CONGRESS 

HOUSE RETURNS TO SPEND - Speaker Nancy Pelosi recalled the House to Capitol Hill during the August recess to pass an "emergency" $26 billion spending bill. Much of the money, $12 billion of which was taken from food stamp programs, goes to union teachers. After the funds run out the bill requires the States to continue to spend on teachers at the same rate for five years without further funding. The immediate effect of the bill is to create $100 million in additional union dues that can be used in the elections against Republicans. The "emergency" was a payoff to the teachers unions which support only radical left candidates.  
CONGRESSMAN BLOCKS AID TO LEBANESE ARMY - The weapons and ammunition used by Lebanese army snipers to kill two Israeli officers were supplied by the United States. It is believed that the snipers were trained here, although neither the Lebanese Army nor our government will comment. Congressman Howard Berman, who heads the Foreign Affairs Committee, blocked funds to the Lebanese Army unless there was a promise not to use them against Israel. Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Murr, said in response that he would reject any American military assistance if it came with conditions that weapons not be used against Israel. Read more
CANTOR SAYS STATE AG FAILED TO DEFEND TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE - Minority Whip Eric Cantor accused the State Attorneys General in Massachusetts and California of failing to defend provisions passed by voters to defend traditional marriage. Cantor said about the situation, "Regrettably, in both of these cases, the Attorneys General responsible for defending the laws either presented the weakest possible defense or refused to take on the challenge at all." He makes the point that same-sex advocates are passing over the will of the people and that elected officials are failing those voters. Cantor's statement

CULTURE AND RELIGION 

MORE ON THE MEGA MOSQUE - The Religious Freedom Coalition has begun operating a site dedicated to informing the public about the insult of building a 15 story mega-mosque that would cast its shadow daily on Ground Zero, the location of the horrific 9-11 jihad attack against America. The site is located at www.no911mosque.org. This new site has updated news and videos about the proposed mosque, plus a poll and a petition to stop construction. 
STUDENTS NOT ALLOWED TO SING ANTHEM - A group of high school students attending a conservative leadership conference in Washington, D.C. were ordered to stop singing the National Anthem during a visit to the Lincoln Memorial. The students were stopped about 30 seconds into the National Anthem and told it was an "unauthorized demonstration."

INTERNATIONAL 

CUT THE THROATS OF CHRISTIANS AND JEWS - The Al-Quds Mosque in Hamburg, Germany was the main hangout of 9-11 mastermind Mohamed Atta, and Imam Muhammad al-Fazazi preached hatred and murder there saying, "Christians and Jews should have their throats cut." Even the train bombings in Spain in 2004 were planned in this "house of worship." After 9-11 the name of the mosque was changed but it was still a center for terror. In the name of free speech the Germans allowed it to remain open until this week. What changed the minds of German authorities? Eleven men with German passports, and all with ties to this mosque, headed to a terror training camp this past March. The mosque will probably not remain shut. Even with its Nazi past, democratic Germany will continue to allow anti-Semitic hatred to be preached in German mosques, including this one. THE FASCISTS OF THE 21st CENTURY - There are misguided American liberals who are just astonished that European nations would consider banning the burqa from being worn in public by women. These are the same liberals who believe that employers may ban Christians and Jews from wearing religious jewelry. In the United States, liberals and the Islamic fascists are allies against a common enemy, Judeo-Christianity. European liberals, even communists, are willing to take a stand against Islamic persecution of women because they believe they have already defeated the church in Europe and want no return of religion in the public square.
