THE PRESIDENCY 

OBAMA ELECTION SHOCKER - In the Kentucky Democratic primary, President Barack Obama lost a majority of the counties. In Harlan County, in the heart of coal country, Obama received just 26.2 percent of the vote. His opponent did not have a name; the majority of counties voted for "uncommitted." With help from the larger cites Obama did win the primary with 58 percent of the vote; however, this was the third state in a row in which he received less than 60 percent. In West Virginia a convicted felon still in jail received 42 percent of the vote against Obama. The president also received less than 60% in Arkansas. Does this matter? Read this. Obama's weakness comes from more than his attacks on the coal industry in these rural areas. His very public approval of sodomy is not welcome in America's heartland.

OBAMA: MEN MUST BE ALLOWED IN WOMEN'S RESTROOM - The Obama Department of Justice has ordered the University of Arkansas at Ft. Smith to allow a male student to use women's bathrooms on campus. Campus Reform reports that a male student who calls himself "Jennifer Braly," and is in the process of raising money to pay for his sex-reassignment surgery, filed a complaint with the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice after the campus told him to use gender-neutral bathrooms rather than women's restrooms. CONGRESS IN RECESS - The House and Senate are now in recess and will return May 31st. No votes will be taken on the 31st before 6:00 PM.

PROTECTING CHAPLAINS' RELIGIOUS FREEDOM - The Obama Administration announced its opposition to an amendment included in the House-passed version of the FY 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 4310) that provides specific conscience and religious freedom protections for military chaplains and other service members. The repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in the military last year raised concerns that service members whose religious beliefs conflicted with homosexual behavior would face discrimination and disapproval. If he cannot force Christian chaplains to approve of homosexual behavior, Obama is willing to veto the entire military budget bill.

RELIGION AND CULTURE 

CHURCH LAWSUITS AGAINST CONTRACEPTIVE MANDATE - Forty-three organizations have filed religious freedom lawsuits opposing the HHS mandates. The University of Notre Dame, the Archdiocese of Washington, Catholic Charities of D.C., and the Saint Anne Home and Retirement Community are a few of the forty-three organizations that filed lawsuits this week opposing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate that will force scores of religious employers to provide health plans that cover services that violate their religious beliefs. THE REAL MANDATE ISSUE - The Obama mandate on contraceptive coverage in insurance is not about health care but the actual definition of religion. If the Obama Administration wins, religion will be defined as something that is only practiced inside a church on Sunday morning. Outside of the church building, according to Obama, there is no religious freedom. All religious organizations -- hospitals, soup kitchens, child care facilities, or whatever -- must abide by all government directives, even those that directly contradict the beliefs of the operators. The core purpose of the Obama mandates is to destroy all religious adherence outside of the church building itself.

FIND THE FRENCH FLAG - The Socialist Party won the night and the new President of France is Francois Hollande. The victors celebrated the night away waving flags of the Ivory Coast, Morocco, Egypt, and the EU. Some are political party flags and one says "vote left." MORE "BLASPHEMY" ARRESTS IN PAKISTAN - Police in Pakistan arrested a Christian, Sajid Inayat, and charged him with "blasphemy" after he had an argument with some Muslims over a billiards game in Punjab Province's Sheikhupura district. This adds one more to the number of innocent Christians rotting in jail in Pakistan accused of "blasphemy." Also this week there are no charges expected to be filed in a home invasion in which five Christians, including children, had their throats slit in the middle of the night by Muslims.

MORE PAKISTAN - Dr. Shakil Afridi led Navy SEALS to bin Laden by setting up a fake vaccination program that allowed him to take DNA samples from the terrorist's children. He has been sentenced to 33 years in prison for treason. Again ... the man who helped catch the terror mastermind was sent to jail for treason against Pakistan. Meanwhile Pakistan is still refusing to allow supplies to reach our troops in Afghanistan. According to President Obama, this nation is an ally of the United States.

MODERATE MUSLIM INDONESIA - No arrests have been made since 600 Islamists hurled bags filled with urine and ditchwater at about 100 members of a church last week and threatened to kill its pastor. Police looked on as the mob attacked the Philadelphia Batak Christian Protestant Church worshiping on the street in Bekasi, near Jakarta in West Java Province, on Thursday (May 17), church attorney Saor Siagian told Compass by phone. USA should stop funding Pakistan!

PRESIDENCY
SCREWING UP VICTORY - President Barack Obama scored a major victory for America and for himself with the track down and killing of Osama Bin Laden, and then he proceeded to confuse it by telling various versions of that victory. First there was a major fire fight at the mansion of Osama bin Laden lasting 40 minutes in which Bin Laden was killed resisting. The minute I heard this version I knew it was fiction. Any time the SEALs are involved in a 40 minute battle, something has gone horribly wrong. The actual fire fight took less than 2 minutes and the remaining 38 minutes were used to carry off computers, bodies and clean up the general mess of a crashed helicopter. Although that is what happened, this version has still not been told. In the second version the White House said that Bin Laden was unarmed but using a woman to shield himself, refusing to surrender with no time given for the fire fight. The last version had only one of Bin Laden's defenders fighting back and Bin Laden acting cowardly. REALITY: None of the versions, now numbering around six or seven, were ever needed. All the President needed to say was, "We killed him." Thanks to the various versions of events from the White House the UN now wants to investigate the "assassination" to determine if "justice" was done.  

RESET IN THE MIDDLE EAST - President Obama says a "reset" is happening in the Middle East with the so-called "Arab Spring." There is a reset, all right. The new Egyptian government run by the military has now brokered a marriage between the two warring Palestinian factions, Fatah and Hamas. On May 1st Egypt also opened their common border with the Gaza Strip allowing a free flow of materials, including arms. As the BBC put it: "The new call marks a move away from Egypt's past compliance with the United States and Israel, which have strongly opposed the Palestinian authority's campaign to win backing for a unilateral declaration of statehood." Congratulations Mr. Obama, you have a new Middle East; now what will you do with it?
OBAMA ORDERED MUSLIM FUNERAL FOR OSAMA - Islamic Religious rites were conducted on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier for Osama Bin Laden before his body was "respectfully" lowered into the Persian Gulf. The body of bin Laden was washed twice in accordance with Islamic practice, and wrapped in a white sheet before being buried at sea. This is the same President Barack Obama who has so little respect for Christian chaplains in the military that he wants them to preach that homosexuality is an acceptable practice. How odd.
 
THE CONGRESS 
HOUSE PASSES BAN ON ABORTION FUNDING - On Wednesday the House of Representatives attempted to codify what is widely known as the "Hyde Amendment" with a bill to permanently ban any federal funding of abortion. Democrats, led by radical minority leader Nancy Pelosi, called the bill a "war on women." "This is the will of the American people and it ought to be the law of the land," said House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) noting that polls show 70% of Americans are against public funding for abortions. HR-3 passed 251 to 175, with 235 Republicans and 16 Democrats voting in favor. The bill must now pass in the Senate which is controlled by Democrat Harry Reid who champions funding for the destruction of the unborn. 
CONGRESSMAN SAYS STOP FUNDING PAKISTAN - Congressman Allen West (R-FL) has spearheaded the drive to stop funding for Pakistan in light of the United States locating Usama Bin Laden in a mansion in the same city as Pakistan's elite military academy. West also comments on Pakistan's efforts to persuade the Afghan government to abandon the USA in favor of a treaty with China.See video

CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ATTACKED IN PAKISTAN - On Saturday, April 30, stone-wielding Muslims smashed up a Christian school and attempted to attack a church in Lahore, Pakistan. A mob of more than 500 Muslim men gathered in the suburbs of Gujranwala district near Lahore, after Muslim clerics claimed that two pages of a burnt Koran were found in a Christian cemetery. A huge amount of damage was done to the school in an area where about 2.500 Christians live. News reports claim there were arrests, but in the past Pakistan police have never actually filed charges in these types of attacks agaisnt Christians. Read more 
PRO-BIN LADEN DEMONSTRATIONS IN PAKISTAN - Only about one hundred Muslims demonstrated outside the US embassy in London on Friday over the killing of Osama bin Laden, but in Pakistan thousands took to the streets and images of President Obama were burned. This weekend Christians are staying in their homes and guarding their churches in Pakistan as the death of Bin Laden will undoubtedly be used by Muslims as an excuse to attack them once again.

Pakistan was protecting Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden was killed in his mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Abbottabad is the home of the Pakistani army’s military academy. The town is in effect the Pakistani version of West Point. Just one week ago, Pakistan's Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, spoke to graduating cadets in Abbottabad stating that the "back of terrorism" in Pakistan had been broken. Osama Bin Laden’s mansion was just a few hundred yards away from where Kayani spoke. 

Bin Laden was not in a spartan cave in the mountains as most of the world thought, but in a mansion on the outskirts of the town's center. The villa compound sits on an imposing hilltop and it is surrounded by 12-foot-high concrete walls which are several feet thick. Razor wire tops the walls of the compound.  Local authorities valued the property at $1 million in a nation in which the average home is worth only a few thousand dollars. Fox News reported that intelligence analysts determined the compound "was custom-built to hide someone of significance.”

Given the fact that Bin Laden lived in a mansion near a military academy, are we to believe that Pakistan’s military and intelligence officials knew nothing of the compound and its al-qaeda residents until a Seal team of 40 men flew in and killed the terror mastermind? The facts are undeniable that high officials in Pakistan’s military and intelligence community had to know that this was indeed Bin Laden’s lair.

Pakistani intelligence and military officials have pretended for years to look for Bin Laden while pocketing billions in military and other aid from the United States. Further proof is in the meeting within the last two weeks in which Pakistan encouraged Afghanistan’s President Karzai to dump the United States in favor of a treaty with Pakistan, China and the Taliban. 

The military aid the United States has furnished Pakistan for its conventional forces has freed up  the Muslim nation’s own funds, allowing it to double its nuclear arsenal in the last ten years and to become more of a threat to its democratic Hindu neighbor, India.

Given these facts and the continued persecution of Christians and other minorities in Pakistan, it is clear that United States aid dollars should stop flowing now. The United States borrows 40 cents of every dollar that it currently spends. Borrowing money to fund a state that protects terrorists and persecutes religious minorities with blasphemy and other sharia based laws, is an abomination that must be stopped now.
