PRESIDENCY ARAB SPRING OR ARAB FALL - It was 1979 and President Jimmy Carter had just forced the Shah of Iran to flee into exile. The headlines read: "Shah out, democracy comes to Iran." In 1991 the Soviet backed Communist government of Afghanistan falls to the Islamic rebels supported by the United States. The headlines read: "Communists out, democracy comes to Afghanistan." Now in 2011 the Islamist rebels supported by the President Barack Obama kill Libyan dictator Qaddafi: The headlines read: Qaddafi dead: democracy comes to Libya. Enough said
OBAMA DEFENDS UGANDA?- Uganda has a long history of terror and bloodshed. Muslim dictator Idi Amin was in control when Israeli special forces had to attack the Entebbe airport to release a plane load of hostages. Eventually the Muslim dictator was exiled to Libya. Now President Obama has sent troops to fight against the "Lord's Resistance Army." Make no mistake, the LRA does not represent mainstream Christian faith, but why is President Obama involving us in a second African war this year? Did he not say he was elected to bring troops home?
THE CONGRESS
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITIES ATTACK ON RELIGIOUS GROUPS - Congressman Forbes appeared on Fox News this week to discuss Vanderbilt University's treatment of Christian student groups. Forbes is the Co-Chairman of the Prayer Caucus.The university demands that Christian groups allow atheist and Muslim leaders. Several religious student organizations have been placed on "provisional status" for requiring their student leaders to share the groups' religious beliefs. The Prayer Caucus sent a letter to Vanderbilt Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos urging him to ensure that school's nondiscrimination policy is not being interpreted in a manner that discriminates against religious student groups. Political and other student groups are allowed to select leaders who share the groups' views, religious student groups are being prohibited from doing so. Watch the interview here.

CAIR DEMANDS MILITARY CHANGE UNIFORMS - it starts in high school, then where. The Counsel on American Islamic Relations sent a letter last week to the superintendent of Williamson County Schools demanding a formal apology be issued to Miss Zawity and that she be allowed to participate in the Junior Reserve Officers Training Program (JROTC) program wearing her hijab. She was banned from the program because she demanded to be the only student in uniform wearing a hijab. For CAIR and the rest of the Muslim Brotherhood, this is not about the JROTC or Zawity. It is the first attempt to change the uniforms of the United States military to conform with sharia law. Look at the photo: Was this girl serious about becoming an officer in the United States Army?
HYATT HOTEL CANCELS ANTI-SHARIA CONFERENCE - The Hyatt hotel in Sugar Land, Texas, abruptly canceled a Tea Party event the same day author and Atlas Shrugs founder Pamela Geller was scheduled to speak on the dangers of Sharia. The story has gone international much to the shame of Hyatt Hotels which is now seen as somewhat anti-Semitic. Pamela Geller is a Jew. Hyatt Hotels in Muslim nations are frequently used by radical Islamic groups attacking Israel. The Hyatt did not need to be pushed very hard by the Council on American Islamic Relations when it demanded that Geller be cancelled. THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE
EVICTING THE GZ MOSQUE - Power company, which owes half of the property for the propose "Ground Zero mosque" has given developer Sharif Al-Gamal ultimatum: Pay $1.7 million in back rent get out of the property. Park51, which leases the substation from Con Ed, wants the two buildings so it can knock both down and build a $100 million, 15-story community center, or maybe a four story "PrayerSpace" or maybe just use the whole plan to raise money from rich Arabs in Saudi Arabia. CRY FOR SWEDEN - The same nation that tried to put Pastor Aki Green in jail for reading a Scripture critical of homosexuality told an Imam that he had permission from the government to call for the death of anyone leaving Islam. The decision was made by prosecutors after the Imam made the statement on a Swedish Public radio broadcast. Read more
KIDS ABUSED IN U.K. MUSLIM SCHOOLS - Hundreds of children are being subjected to physical abuse in madrassas, an investigation claims. At least 250,000 Muslim youngsters attend the religious instruction centers, which are not formally regulated. More than 400 allegations of physical abuse have been made over the past three years, with the total reaching 146 last year and 89 in 2009. Read more 17-YEAR-OLD CHRISTIAN BEHEADED - Militants from an Islamic extremist organization in Somalia linked to al-Qaida beheaded a 17-year-old Christian near Mogadishu. Guled Jama Muktar was killed by al Shabbab militants in his home near Deynile, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the Somali capital. (Note, this is just one of the hundreds of Christians murdered by Muslims worldwide this year as part of Jihad.)

PRESIDENCY
THE CALL AT 3:00 AM - During the 2008 primary, Hillary Clinton ran a TV commercial asking this question: "Who do you want to answer the phone at 3:00AM?" Real calls like the one suggested in the ad concerning our national security continue to come to the White House, and Barack Obama continues to put the calls on hold. The crisis in Libya is a prime example. Despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of Americans work in the half dozen Muslim nations facing revolts and violence, Obama moved no significant military assets into the Mediterranean. As a result, Americans fleeing Libya are renting cars, crowding onto fishing boats and crossing deserts on foot to escape. Significant caches of weapons are being taken from military supplies in Libya. Even military aircraft are unaccounted for and Barack Obama seems frozen. His most powerful response was to announce he was sending Hillary Clinton to Geneva next week to "seek a solution."
LACK OF UNDERSTANDING - Libya consists of three major tribal areas, and as a single nation it is dysfunctional. The nation was created by Europeans relying on natural boundaries rather than ethnic areas, as was done with most of Africa during colonization. As a result many civil wars have been waged and millions killed trying to maintain borders that make no real sense. I seriously doubt that President Barack Obama understands this as he is a Utopianist who believes government can become ever larger, have no borders and furnish all needs to all people. The reality is different and the stage for years of civil war has been set. In the case of Libya, eventually more than one nation will emerge.
OBAMA NO MIDDLE MAN - During an interview with Fox's Bill O'Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday, President Barack Obama answered "no" when asked if he were going to move to the middle after big losses in the 2010 elections. "I haven't -- I didn't move to... I'm the same guy," Obama said. He proved that this week when he ordered the Justice Department not to defend DOMA the (Defense of Marriage Act) because it was "unconstitutional." His press office went on to explain that the "President's views on same-sex marriage were evolving." Not really, Obama is married to those who brought him to the dance; abortionists, homosexuals, perverts, and corrupt unions are the radical left base, and he has no plans to file for divorce.
THE CONGRESS
CONGRESS IN RECESS - The House and the Senate went into President's Day recess to allow congressmen to work at their district offices. Democrats went home to explain why they are pushing for a government shut down to stop Republicans from cutting a modest $60 billion dollars from a $1.5 trillion dollar budget.
ALLEN WEST DEBATES CAIR - A Muslim representing CAIR made the mistake of daring Congressman Allen West (R-FL) to show him "one verse" in the Qur'an that told Muslims to attack innocent people. Congressman West then listed a series of quotes from the Qur'an instructing violence against "infidels" and listing a series of attacks. "Islam became violent," West said. "Something happened when Mohamed enacted the Isra, and he left Mecca and went out to Medina. It became violent." The crowd at the townhall meeting cheered and applauded West as he spoke. THE END OF THE RULE OF LAW - In the last week or so a huge crack emerged in the rule of law in the United States, and it seems no one recognizes this could signal the end of the nation as we know it. In two states, Wisconsin and Indiana, Democrats fled their states so that laws could not be passed by the newly elected Republican majorities. Democrats announced they may do the same thing in other states to block state assemblies with Republican majorities from passing legislation. The Democrats are saying: "We lost the election, so we are going to take actions to stop the democratic process. When we get back in the majority we want democracy to return." It doesn't work that way. Once the democratic process has stopped, it has stopped.
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama has decided that he, not the courts and not the Congress, can single handedly determine that a law (the Defense of Marriage Act) is unconstitutional. If it works for him, it works for the next President. In 2012 a Republican could be elected and announce that he has decided Obama Care is unconstitutional. This is how nations slide into dictatorships, and the Democrats and Obama are setting the stage for the end of our Republic.
JIHAD STOPPED IN TEXAS - This week the FBI arrested Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, a 20 year-old student attending a college near Lubbock, Texas. Aldawsari is a Saudi Arabian citizen who received a scholarship from the oil rich kingdom to study in America, and he has a student visa. His notebook indicated he applied for the student visa for the purpose of "waging jihad" on the "infidels." He was studying chemical engineering and trying to apply his knowledge to the manufacture of bombs. His targets included dams, power plants and the home of former President George W. Bush in Dallas. It would be nice to believe our intelligence services caught him because of the pro-jihad blogs he wrote, and his downloading of bomb-making instructions, but that is not the case. Ordinary citizens at a company that he was buying the chemicals from became suspicious as to their use and called the FBI.
NO 911 MOSQUE!
BLOOMBERG'S LOVE OF SHARIA - Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who claims to be a Jew, has launched a new service through his corporation that services sharia compliant finance. To be sharia compliant, a portion of the profits must go to Islamic charities. NOTE: None of the charitable contributions may go to Christian, Buddhist or Jewish organizations, only to Muslim groups. Remember the liberal outrage when Chic-fil-A donated a small amount of chicken meals to a Christian marriage conference? The Bloomberg Islamic Finance Platform (ISLM), a solution for shariah-compliant products and services, will be directly associated with the Association of Islamic Banking Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM). "The Islamic marketplace is growing rapidly and there is high demand for a wide range of resources," said Dan Doctoroff, the President of Bloomberg, LP which is majority owned by Mayor Michael Bloomberg. It is almost a surety that funds that go to Sharia "charities" will wind up in the hands of those who want to behead Jews. My question to Mayor Michael Bloomberg: Is there nothing you will not do for the love of money?

SAID MUSA RELEASED - An Afghan Christian named Said Musa, who was facing the death sentence for converting from Islam, was released from the prison in Kabul. The release came after intense European media coverage. His case was virtually ignored by the American media. Normally when converts to Christianity are released from jail in a Muslim nation, they are murdered within a few days. We have news that Said Musa was able to escape from Afghanistan the same day he was released and is safe in a European nation. As recently as two weeks ago Afghan courts were seeking his execution for converting to Christianity.
CHRISTIAN SAILING MISSIONARIES MURDERED - Four Christians were murdered by Muslim Somali pirates this week. Jean and Scott Adam, a retired couple, had been sailing around the world for more than seven years distributing Bibles. They and another couple were captured by the Muslim pirates.
