THE PRESIDENCY
PAGAN AIR FORCE? - The new "worship circle" at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs represents nothing new. Wiccans and pagans have been part of the fourteen approved "religious groups" for more than a decade according to reports. Attention was called to the activities of the pagans and witches at the Academy because a cross was left at the pagan outdoor ritual site. About ten cadets and another thirty local servicemen participate in pagan or witchcraft rituals. The leader of the pagan group is Tech. Sgt. Brandon Longcrier, who moved the pagan center from a building to an outside venue last year. Doesn't it give you a warm, fuzzy and protected feeling to know that people in our armed services who believe in witchcraft have control of modern firepower, including nuclear weapons? One of these days maybe we can elect a veteran who is a gay witch to the Presidency.
$100 IN THE BANK COUNTS AS $1000? - Someone recently sent me this explanation of how the Federal Reserve Bank's fractional reserve system works: "If the reserve requirement is 10%, for example, a bank that receives a $100 deposit may lend out $90 of that deposit. If the borrower then writes a check to someone who deposits the $90, the bank receiving that deposit can lend out $81. As the process continues, the banking system can expand the initial deposit of $100 into a maximum of $1,000 of money ($100+$90+81+$72.90+...=$1,000)." In other words, about 90% of the money in "circulation" does not really exist. President Barack Obama wants to increase the phony money supply with yet another stimulus. An interesting site explains why it is mathematically impossible to pay off the national debt. Read more
THE CONGRESS
LAST KENNEDY LEAVES CONGRESS - Congressman Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) made it official today: "... my life is taking a new direction, and I will not be a candidate for reelection this year." With those words he announced that more than fifty years of a member of his family holding office in either the House or Senate had ended. Because of his long record of substance abuse problems, and his absences from session while in rehab clinics, it is difficult to tell if his decision was personal or politically based. After the election of Republican Scott Brown in Massachusetts his seat was also looking vulnerable. Read more

INTERNATIONAL
WESTERN CIVILIZATION ON TRIAL - The trial of Member of Parliament Geert Wilders is not an issue for just the Netherlands. It is not Geert Wilders that is on trial, it is Western civilization. If Muslims in Western nations can have people put in jail for "insulting" their religion, it is a statement of surrender of not only Christianity, but the secular West. More at NRO
