THE PRESIDENCY

THE SPEECH - During his so-called State of the Union Address, Barack Obama said it is time for both parties to work together. He then attacked the Republican Party and criticized the Senate for having a sixty vote rule that "obstructed" his agenda. Next he congratulated himself for "saving" the banking system and then attacked the banks. Obama then lied about a Supreme Court decision and directly attacked the Justices, who were sitting on the front row of the House Chamber. On and off during the speech he claimed that he "inherited" the nation's security and financial problems. At the same time he claimed that he had stopped more terrorist attacks than George W. Bush. He made the outrageous claim that "his" medical reforms would cover the uninsured and reduce the deficit, something that even a sixth grader knows can't be done. To top off the night he said that homosexuals should be able to "serve" the nation in the military. He proved every pundit wrong who had said he would move to the middle after several straight defeats of his party at the polls. Far from moving to the middle he put himself on record as continuing with his unpopular far left agenda. 
OBAMA HIGH COURT INSULT - Among the many untruths and misstatements in his so-called State of the Union Address, Barack Obama criticized the Supreme Court for issuing a ruling allowing foreign corporations to influence elections in the United States. The statement, which caused Democrats including Nancy Pelosi to rise and applaud, was a lie. The next day the White house was forced to "clarify" this statement, saying that US companies owned by foreigners could contribute to political campaigns. That is also a lie and a new "clarification" had to be issued. In the history of the nation, presidents have only mentioned the Supreme Court nine times in a State of the Union Address. In each instance, nothing antagonistic was said. Obama's direct attack on the Supreme Court with the Justices present was a true first and shows Obama's real temperament, one of anger and hostility to anyone he disagrees with. Read more
OBAMA'S WARMING GLOBE - Not even a majority of Democrat Senators will vote for Obama's "cap-and-trade" and he has been told by the Senate that because it will destroy millions of jobs, it is dead. Yet Obama called for cap-and-trade energy taxes again in his address. Obama looked directly at the seated Republicans, called them "skeptics" and claimed global warming is a "fact." The only "fact" is that those believing in the Global Warming Religion have faked results and destroyed data that proves them wrong. THE OBAMA TEMPO - I made it through (PAUSE) the Obama speech (PAUSE) despite the kindergarten teacher tempo (PAUSE) of his oratory. (LONG PAUSE) For the most part (PAUSE) I have real difficulty (PAUSE) listening to someone speak (PAUSE) who finds it necessary (PAUSE) to speak in three to eight word bursts (PAUSE) despite the actual sentence (PAUSE) length. I do understand (PAUSE) that because his first schooling (PAUSE) was in a madrassa (PAUSE) and since Arabic (PAUSE) is recited somewhat like poetry (PAUSE) in this same manner (DOUBLE PAUSE) that there is an explanation.

THE CONGRESS

SPEAKER PELOSI'S DIET: Maker's Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey's Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer, and all at taxpayer expense.Judicial Watch has obtained actual receipts through the Freedom of Information Act for the food and "beverages" loaded onto Nancy Pelosi's private Air Force jet. In just two years Nancy Pelosi has racked up over $2 million in travel expenses on her Air Force supplied aircraft, including over $100,000 in extravagant food and drink. President Obama, who seems to spend more time on Air Force One than in the White House, makes Pelosi's travel expenditures look minuscule.

There is a great Cold War movie called The Projectionist (From the book Inner Circle) which was the story of Joseph Stalin's private projectionist. He ran movies for the murderous dictator that Soviet citizens were barred from seeing. The movie reminds me most of Al Gore and the private jet he uses to go to global warming conferences, but it applies to most liberal leaders. TEN COMMANDMENTS RESOLUTION - This week I met with Roni Wexler, founder of the Ten Commandments Commission, and several congressmen. It is our goal to once again move forward with a Ten Commandments resolution. Although we have introduced a resolution several times, it has yet to be passed. This year we have more congressmen as sponsors than in the past. Please pray for the success of the Ten Commandments resolution which will be introduced in a few weeks.

THE RADICALS WHO RUN WASHINGTON

President Barack Obama has chosen as his advisers the most radical group of ideologues ever assembled by an American president. A new Liberty Counsel report exposes the activities of radical activists such as Kevin Jennings, Obama's pick for "safe schools." Jennings was the founder of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network and for more than five years he oversaw student-workshops filled with outrageously immoral propaganda. Obama also picked former ACLU employee and NARAL legal director Dawn Johnsen, who is zealously pro-abortion.

INTERNATIONAL

PAY THE BARBARY PIRATES? - "From the Halls of Montezuma, to the Shores of Tripoli ... " That is the opening of the Marine Corps Hymn, and the part about "Tripoli" of course refers to the war President Thomas Jefferson waged against the Muslim pirates of North Africa, sometimes called Ottoman Corsairs. He chose to fight rather than to pay tribute. Before Jefferson's intervention the Muslims had been collecting tribute from the Europeans for centuries. Now the Europeans, and apparently Barack Obama, have decided to pay tribute again -- this time to the Muslim Taliban. Western nations plan a fund of $500 million to pay Taliban fighters to put down their guns. The entire GDP of Afghanistan is only $800 million. Read more
